NCT's most underrated unit. WayV are such a well-blended group with an amazing - but short - discography. They have such different personalties that them all together is like comedy gold - honestly, their content always has me laughing hard. I hope they only grow bigger because they really deserve more success after all they have been through as a group.

Domino is my fav WayV song. I can't explain how it makes me feel. Its just a masterpiece.
Fun fact: Because WayV -- which stands for We Are Your Vision in English -- or Weishen V in Chinese -- which means "gods of vision" -- is a sub-unit of NCT, NCT's whole dream concept is also part of WayV's storyline and concept. (Hence, why they say "the face of Vision" in the lyrics of "Turn Back Time".) As with everything NCT does, it all has to do with some aspect of dreams or dreaming or being in a dream state, etc.
It also means they are gods with a vision for the past, present and future.
Some fans who are into SM group theories have also speculated that NCT's storyline also connects to EXO's and SuperM's storyline. You just have to come to accept that everything you see from SM will be connected to SM's Culture Universe, and it's all part of a giant drama or movie -- it's just another chapter in the story.
Since the creation of SuperM, where they are now taking members from each of SM's most popular groups and creating an Avengers supergroup, I think that was SM's first indication that from now on we need to pay attention, because all of its groups' MVs are somehow connected.
If the SuperM Avengers are coming together to help EXO stop the Red Force, I think the members who are part of SuperM are the liaisons who are helping to connect all the groups -- EXO, Taemin/SHINee, NCT and WayV -- together. For example, right after SuperM released their debut "Jopping" MV, WayV came out with "Moonwalk" and I think "Moonwalk" is pretty much a continuation of "Jopping's" storyline, and now I think their other MVs, such as "Turn Back Time," etc. are also part of that story. With NCT's dream concept, they could very easily connect to EXO's other world and other dimension theories.
For example, I see parts of the story in "Turn Back Time" that could be connected to SuperM's MV for "One (Monster & Infinity)." When Lucas is suspended in the air in the MV for "One (Monster & Infinity)," I see similarities to the fact that he is supposed to be a fallen angel in "Turn Back TIme" who is also floating in the air.
Lucas doesn't have a shirt on because he has just had his wings ripped off or removed, so he is shirtless because he is recovering from whatever happened to him. You see the scars on Lucas' back because his wings have been torn off.
I also wonder if WayV actually has the power to turn back time, similar to Tao's superpower in EXO -- will it be their job to help fix the problems in EXO's and SuperM's storyline by turning back time? ("5, 4, 3, 2,1" -- they are counting down and turning back time. The end move in the choreography was designed to show time had abruptly been stopped and the momentum of their movements caused their body to tremble like that, etc.)
And, if you notice, Ten and Lucas have a pivotal role in the storyline in "Turn Back Time." I think this might be because they are members of SuperM and they are coming to gather the other WayV members to bring them into the fight. Maybe in "Turn Back Time" the WayV members are cut up and injured because they have been involved in the battle as they help SuperM take down the Red Force.
In the end of "Turn Back Time" you see a post-apocalyptic world with a mashup of buildings that form the shape of a V, which I think is connected to the fact that in WayV's "Moonwalk" MV we see a meteor shower taking place. And I also think that meteor shower is connected to the fact that we see the planet on fire in the end of EXO's "Obsession" MV and everything on fire in Lay's solo "Sheep" Alan Walker relift version MV, etc. I think at the end of their "Turn Back Time" MV, they might be showing what their world looks like after the destruction of the planet has taken place.
Thanks for such a thoughtful input! I love theories. Let me add that Kickback reminds me of the movie Inception, as in the kickback into reality, when they have to wake up from their dreams.

WayV is the unit you have to keep both eyes on 👀cause they know how to act up. 'Bad Alive' they slinging bulls... no apologizes. They have the most cohesive albums from start to finish, producers track choices work well together. Great reaction and enjoy the journey.

Imo, Take Off, Moonwalk and Turn Back Time is WayV's Big Three single~
Technically WayV debuted in January 2019 with the Mandarin version of "Regular," which was also NCT-127's song. However, "Take Off," which came out in April 2019, is considered their official debut song because it was their first release that was all theirs.
Although WayV's "Regular" uses the same title and beat -- and even a few of the same words and lines -- as NCT-127's Korean and English versions of the song, they aren't really the same song. WayV's version sounds different, not only because it's different members and a different language, but it has a different message as well.
If you look up the English translation of the Korean and Mandarin versions of "Regular" and compare them to the English version, you will see that all 3 songs are talking about different things. That is what makes this song special. "Regular" is on NCT-127's Regular/Irregular album, so the Korean and English versions are supposed to be like night and day.
The English version is about not being satisfied until they possess all the riches and fame, which is what appeals to an American/Western audience. Where the Korean version is about working hard to become your best self and not being happy until you have done all you can to gain the respect and love of your fans, which is what appeals more to a Korean audience.
The Chinese version of the song also has different lyrics. The MV for WayV's version of "Regular" is about dominating in the technology realm and that is why you see them as stock traders in the stock market and at one point they are literally inside a computer, etc. It's all about dominating in the business world. "Regular" was technically WayV's debut song as well.
It's really interesting to see how 3 songs can be created in 3 different languages using the same beat and feel, and yet have completely different messages. It just goes to show how diverse the music industry is and yet still so similar. :D
Another reason why WayV's MV is so different from the Korean and English version is because they are the Chinese sub-unit and at that time they couldn't have anything that might connect them to NCT or make it look like they were working with a Korean company if they wanted to promote in China. Because of the political issues between Korea and China, they had to appear as if they were a Chinese group and were separate from anything to do with SM in order for the Chinese government to allow them to appear on Chinese programs, etc. and to promote themselves and their album in the country.

WinWin isn't being excluded because SM doesn't want to do things with him. Winwin is becoming a pretty big deal actor and model in China right now. Therefore, because of his filming schedules in China, he isn't able to participate in a lot of things with WayV. It's all due to scheduling conflicts, etc. Winwin participates in actives with WayV when he can in between his solo projects.

SM fumbled the bag on this one. Their sound and storyline was top tier. The mutant extraterrestrial thing was 🤌. Then we see the gradual declines starting with the patches. They had 'IT BOYS' in the making with Lucas and Ten. But. Look where we are now sigh...
It's true. Those two are 'IT BOYS' being naturally charismatic and charming. Even if they are not as popular as other idols due to multiple factors and uncontrollable circumstances, they are 'IT' for me. Lucas has an explosive appeal while Ten feels like such a perfected artist even those dancers in Great Dance Crew couldn't help themselves around him, and dancers and notable choreographers here and there expressed their admiration for him.

I attended their fanmeeting concert last month in Japan and it was so much fun! (Yup, Winwin is not there too). The most memorable moment is actually when they perform Paradise before they released it on music platform. I was so suprised when they want to perform unrelased song. Had a lot of fun playing games with them too ahaha.

I love how you girls select the songs to react. I feel that 7 of them make the team more powerful and stronger. The past 2 years ruined their confident so much as you see on the current album. I don’t know why their personality has changed (maybe growing up?). But they don’t seem to be happy like before.
7 members era is the best for me though.
Actually i like them better now that they matured. I don't think they are less confident now. I actually feel it's the opposite. Like now they have something even better than confidence in their own abilities. They now have faith in life and in each other. Like they're not gonna stress about anything anymore cuz they have been through much worse and they know that the results doesn't matter anymore as long as they enjoy and give their best in every step of the way. They are more at ease now and their confidence is no longer extrinsic but intrinsic. At least that's how i feel. You should see Summer Talk and you will understand their state of mind better in this era.
