- She is the queen of ballad. This too famous song was sung by the legendary singer, Karen Anne Carpenter. To tell the truth, the reason I became interested in and studied English was the influence by the Carpenters. When I was a junior high school student, the duo was extremely popular along with Olivia Newton-John. Without smartphone or internet, we just listened to their songs through radios or records. Their songs were amazingly fabulous, enchanting my child soul, naturally leading me to studying English enthusiastically. This seemingly preset fate would make me an English teacher, which I still am, earning me sufficient income. So I strongly thank Carpenters, Olivia, and other my favorite singers. Tonight the romantic and impressive lyrics and sound were covered by the amazing vocalist Cathy and the Quad rock band. Where could you find the reason for not listening to them. No way! You must, and be carried away in the fantasy-like atmosphere.
