It would have been nice to show a closeup on the edges of the paper after you cut it. It’s really important to know whether you are going to get a perfect edge or a frayed edge.

I have both types of trimmer. The guillotine is more for thick papers, cardboards. But when I need a precision cut then I take my other trimmer. Both are from Tonic Studio and I really love them both. Thanks for this review

Hi, I use an Olfa cutting blade with a metal ruler. They work fine BUT, the ruler does move and I end up cutting my very expensive paper wrong. So, Im on the lookout for a trimmer. I am torn between the 2 but I think for now I will settle on trying to source a trimmer with my choice being the Woodware brand. Although someone has commented below that its out of stock on Amazon. If I cant find it then I will go for the Tonic which is also very good I believe. thank you for your video which has helped me tremendously. Cleopatra from Zimbabwe

Guillotine cutters tend to pull the paper a little..so it tends to skew minutely, but you can see the skew when you are cutting multiple papers at the same go....Rotary seems more precise though I havent used Rotary.

How do you sharpen the blade?

the only point to add so far, for newbies to know is that on most trimmers, I have used, you can replace the blade rather than the whole trimmer, as you suggested, a much cheaper option so make it says you can do this in the description [ btw, I always keep replacements on hand so I'm never caught without a trimmer BTW, in the US & Canada[]I have lived in both], it's pronounced ghee - oh - tine, also it would be very useful to know how many sheets of 110lb paper can be cleanly cut through in one pass by each, but this information is rarely included in the descriptions or reviews, sadly [I have a few already, but would happily buy another that would cut through 10 sheets at a time,[ so I don't have to go anywhere and pay to have a ream cut to make severala2 card blanks at once]

I appreciate your review, I am happy to see the ability to cut 12x12 however I would like to see what is the smallest cut you can make accurately? Can I cut 1/4 inch for example?

One large benefit to the Woodware trimmer featured in this video is the fact it has a *rotary* blade, which is infinitely superior to the usual little "v" shaped stationary blades on most trimmers. The rotary blade is a razor disc that rolls as it cuts, providing a much crisper, cleaner cut than a stationary blade can provide. This type of blade stays sharper exponentially longer as well. Woodware also offers optional specialty blades for purchase as well, such as a perforating, scallop, deckle, etc. There are at least 12 different blades (including the scoring "blade").

Hello!! The way you are used to pronounce it is the right way! In French we pronounce "LL" as "Y" (similar to the one in New-York,if that makes sense lool)

Hi I bought a Le Tack paper trimmer. Also bought extra cutting blades in different patterns. I hardly used it as we moved provinces and didn’t craft anymore. Recently made 3 cards and the trimmer worked beautifully. Then I changed the blade to try a different pattern and since then the trimmer doesn’t cut. The blade remains hidden in the silicon of the housing. It can’t make contact with the paper. I am so disappointed. And can’t find any info on it. Has anyone heard of this trimmer? The blades are all brand new.
