I think the first year for Billy is wash, so for me this is Billy’s second year. I hope they give him time to show what he can do.
Facts
I said it from the beginning, "How many Gator starters would start at UGA, Ala, LSU, etc". Billy inherited a lackluster lineup. There was no program, and the facilities & food needed upgrading. I remember everyone praising the Defensive Coordinator at first. Once the talent cycled out, there was a huge challenge to develop. No defensive coordinator could improve the Gator Defense. All the blame goes to Dan Mullen for lack of recruiting and paying no attention to upgrading the facilities. Billy has now inherited the toughest football schedule in the nation. Whoever coaches the Gator football team in 2025 will have far more comfort than what Billy experienced.
Mullen has seriously found a way to break every consistent record we have for the negative and he nearly almost took us out of having a draft pick isn't that f****** insane One of the worst hires we ever had from a culture and integrity value of the last 30 plus year's

It is not that simple. The media rate the players. The coaches recruit the players, and then they develop the players into NFL talent. Florida had a decent number of players get drafted under Mullen. I do agree Napier needs more time, but urgency is there.
It’s not up to Napier to close the deal. The decision rests with Jason as to whether he becomes a Gator.

Mullen may have been the worst recruiter ever but he could coach. If only the was there during the buy players era. We could have bought the players and he could have coached them. What good does it even if Billy could recruit, which I'm not sure he can; but what good does it do to hire Jimbo 2.0?

With Napier, he can't beat the teams that we clearly have better talent. We had top 15 talent and couldn't win six games. That's beyond pathetic. Jimbo 2.0

dan mullen did not recruit kadarius toney, kyle pitts, kyle trask and most major drafted players from his time at uf. he was a good coach and developer of talent but not a good recruiter. he left the cupboards bare in terms of talent.
