I remember my dad once told me that he was at home and his younger brother was just on the way home from school and my dad heard a commotion, so he peeks over the garden fence too see some other kids bullying my uncle and basically my dad says he leaped over the fence and scared them away. 😂 My dad is 1 of the kindest chillest people ever so this was news to me.
Back when I was in the Navy I was walking back to the base where I was stationed in Puerto Rico. It was dark as f**k along this road and I was alone when this car drove passed me and then turned around a short distance ahead of me, came back going really slowly and turned around again after they got passed me. as they pulled up beside me three guys got out of the car and I took off at a dead run directly away from the road and them. Unfortunately I ran into a fence rather quickly and they caught up to me. One of them flashed something at me and me thinking that it was a knife I slapped it away like three times. After that I guess they thought that I wasn't as drunk as they thought I was and took off. I ran the last hundred yards or so the the gate and stopped to yell at them to come ack and fight me now that the odds are even but they left. That's when I realized my arm was bleeding pretty badly from running into the fence. I ended up going to see the corpsman and getting a bandage on my arm after getting told by the guards that I really shouldn't be walking along dark roads at night because I could have ended getting seriously injured or having my life ended because American service personnel were not liked very much by the local population. To this day I have no idea how i was able to hold them off because I was drunk off my butt. this was back in the early 1980's.

the one about the gay guys standing up to bullies reminds me of one time this guy was teasing me because I turned down a woman I wasn't interested in (I did it politely and wasn't rude to her) and he says something about me probably wanting him. I looked him up and down and said, "No thanks, I like men not boys." The entire bare erupted in laughter and the idiot decided to leave instead of picking a fight with a near 7 foot overgrown shaved gorilla. LMAO it was pretty entertaining.
2 stories:
An ex-special forces friend of mine 'E', worked as head of security for two nightclubs in Johannesburg city center back in the 1980s and 90s.
He got called because some idiot refused the pay to enter the other club down the road.
My friend walked there, climbed the set of about 15 stairs to the landing where a table was set up to receive payment and stamp the partygoers.
E asks what the problem is, and this tall, well-built idiot says he's a trained Ninja and doesn't have to pay.
He was threatening violence to the girl cashier as E approached the stairs.
On hearing this fools reason, E says "oh, you're a Ninja?" and pushes him with one finger rather hard.
The wannabe Ninja over-balances and falls, flops, rolls, and bounces to the bottom of the stairs...
E tells him he's not much of a Ninja.
My story: So there was this much older kid at high school who had a problem with me for some unknown reason.
Maybe it was because I wore glasses?
Maybe his 18 years on this planet were jealous of my shortarsed 15 years?
Anyway, after school we caught a double-decker bus to our suburb. The older students got on first, then last came us first year kids.
As I was climbing the spiral stairs to the top deck, this dickhead was laying on wait.
He kicked me full on, as hard as he could, directly in the face.
I was stunned for a second as I checked my glasses weren't broken. (They weren't!)
So I walked up to the top, handed my glasses to a girl sitting there, and ran down the aisle at this chop. (80s slang there.. pork chop)
As blind as I was, I could see the panic on the face of this much taller, fitter bloke when he saw this small kid flying at him... I got in some good shots as he stood there frozen in amazement.
His friends pulled me off him and asked what my problem was.
They hadn't really seen what their mate had done to me, but when I told them, they APOLOGIZED for their buddies actions!
I walked back to retrieve my glasses, put them on, and found myself facing the most beautiful girl in the school!
I thanked her kindly, and went to sit down with my friends who were staring at me in awe!
No one gave me trouble after that.
That Oakland story sounds like a lie
Grenade story - Bad move, considering the detonator was still intact!
I met a bloke in the army minus his right hand.
He'd held a practice handgrenade in his hand, thinking the 'small' detonation of the fuse wouldn't do him any harm.
Normally, an idiot like this would be kept at a military hospital until his wound was healed. Snd then medically discharged from the army, but not this guy.
He'd pissed someone off, so they kept him working at the training base for his full two year National Service term.
9th 25 was great
an uncle of mine fought in Vietnam. After the war he opened a small shop. I forget what he sold. Anyway, one day a member of the Hells Angels came to extort protection money. A guy as big as a bear with a baseball bat threatened him about what could happen to his knees if he refused to pay. my uncle broke his neck with one fluid movement. The guy died instantly. That evening the Hells Angels tried to rob him and two other veterans in the shop.According to the police report, the shop and the area around it was a real battlefield: destroyed motorcycles, metal parts everywhere, burning green space and all of this garnished with over 40 corpses with various stab wounds, lacerations, gunshot wounds, some impaled on wooden furniture. All very badly injured and in the middle of this chaos my uncle was covered in blood from head to toe and a piece of a heart was in his hand. Spoiler alert: he was arrested along with the other two veterans. I was called and after a legal process the court ruled in self-defense and everyone was released. Since then, no criminal organization has tried to extort protection money in our neighborhood.

Funny story, probably the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me but, what happened was when I was in high school, there was this kid, he was pretty mean to everyone, not me because i was kind of popular, but one day, i heard him talking trash to a kid through a door I look in and it was one of my little brothers friends, and he was basically family, I was super into rock climbing in hight school, and there was this little wall in between us but no roof( for some reason) so I climb and sit on the ledge of the wall, listen to him calling this kid names for like 10 minutes, then I stand up and say, is that all? He looked up at me, i jumped( it was like a 35 foot wall) and accidentally did a sort of front flip, then, as shaken as i was, i slap him pretty hard, and stoically tell him to “go home”,( jumping from a large hight hurts so after that I cried with my little brothers friend watching me, kinda took away from it, but yeah still insane)
Ok so I have anxiety and I am scared of every thing I can only play a horror game either in practice or with friends
