Astounding;I was about to bleed money, then I came across your video,I did it adequately my entire driveway in less than 2hrs with pride and joy :Thanks to you and Danny..
That’s amazing!! I’m happy to hear that it went smoothly! 😊 the purpose of this video was exactly that.. to make homeowners save money! thanks for the comment 👍🏼
I love this guy! At first he came across as a Guido who was just after notoriety. However, after watching he showed how much he knew and genuinely seemed concerned with the home owner by constantly reiterating it can be done by anyone. I like the guy and will be watching more videos because of it.
Thanks Revrand! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and I hope that it helped you. Also, stay tuned as more videos are on the way! 😎Thanks again!
Dude you are the man! Thanks for posting this and helping me as a new home owner! This video was so helpful and I loved how you walked us step by step through the process!
You’re welcome. I’m glad I was able to help you. 😊 NO- never use sand, don’t even use stone dust… we now use HPB (high performance bedding). I have tons of videos on TikTok talking about it. Come join me @francescopettinelli Thanks for the awesome comment! 👍🏼😊
Great video! Where do you get the vibrator tool to rent and do you do this before we replace the pavers? I might have missed it. English is not my first language.
Thank you! You can rent a plate compactor at Home Depot or any other tool rental place. You pass it over your pavers once you apply your polymer sand (before you sweep and wet it). No you didn’t miss it.. I was speaking with the clients when that was being done lol sorry! 🤷🏻♂️
You’re so welcome and thanks for watching! We’re actually uploading another TH-cam video within the next few days so stay tuned 👊🏻😎 follow us on TikTok for short clips - @ Francesco Pettinelli
No, I don’t have one but I’ll make one. Follow me on Tiktok @FrancescoPettinelli leave a comment on one of my vids so I know it’s you and I’ll make a short video for you. 💪🏼
Thanks for watching & You’re very welcome! No, it’s actually not the same at all. We will make a video showing how to repair steps in the near future but for now here’s a link to a video that might help: th-cam.com/video/UAn65hlBm6k/w-d-xo.html I just watched this video and I think it will help you in someway. If this doesn’t help, my recommendation would be to hire a professional to repair your steps. Good luck! 🤞 😎
I have paver stones that have been drenched in fluids (oil) from vehicles over a few years. Can those stones be saved or am I better off replacing them?
Buy a degreaser from Home Depot and try to scrub your pavers. Do it one or two pavers to see if it works, if it doesn’t work then you’ll need new pavers. Hope that helps. And sorry for the late response
Do you also seal the pavers with a water-based sealant? I did a repair like this last summer for the very first time and not sure if it was even necessary to seal it.
Hi Tony! No, we do not seal it.. it’s not necessary to seal your pavers in order to accomplish a successful repair. A sealer is mainly applied to help maintain the original colour of your pavers so that it won’t fade in time due to the sun beating on it it is also used to protect it from car oil or wine stains by not allowing it to penetrate into your pavers. Many also choose to seal pavers for the wet-look aspect of it. Hope that helps and if you have any other questions 😊 thanks for watching our video and for taking the time to leave a comment! 👍🏻
Great video! I have a bunch of loose pavers I need to fix. What do you recommend for brick pavers that were installed on top of tiles? Can I just fill in the gaps with polymeric sand or do I need an adhesive first to stick the pavers to the tile?
Thanks, and great question! To answer that question - I would not recommend installing pavers over tiles… I would remove the tiles first. Yes, you can use polymeric sand. Unless you have mortar at the moment, then just mortar it, but if not, sand is fine. If I misunderstood your question and you meant “resurfacing” existing concrete floors - I still recommend to remove the tiles and I’d recommend the Venetian by Techo-Bloc. It comes in a variety of colors, Slate, Polished or Smooth textures, and backed by a Lifetime Warranty. The BLU by Techo-Bloc is also a wonderful product. Check it out at www.techo-bloc.com 👍🏼 Hope this helps. 😊 Thanks for watching!
I have paver patio under a raised deck (pavers similar to what is in this video). I need to remove the pavers around one of the columns holding up the deck. Can it be done without damaging any of the pavers? If so, how can it be done & what tools are needed?
Sorry for the delay in responding! Yes, it can definitely be done and should be fairly easily to do so. You will need a flat head screwdriver or scraper to remove the polymer sand that has hardened within the joints (if you have any).. start removing your pavers by hand. If you require more details just let us know. 😊 Hope this helps with your question and sorry once again for the late response.
If you take the concrete saw and cut along the edge way easier ,listen get yourself a hand tamper because you must pack that screeing k so it doesn't sink again and cut a jig using a piece of 2x4 😊
Okay yeah I'm not going to attempt this to do myself I was going to try but nope what is something like this cost to hire somebody? I know you said it was easy but I don't trust myself to get things even enough
Im pretty sure you can do it.. If you can get someone to help you that would definitely be ideal, but if not, you can hire someone for around $500-$600. Price can vary depending on where you live. 😊Thanks for leaving a comment and Good luck! 👍🏼
That was perfect exactly what I needed to know. For a walkway would it be useful to install an edge restraint as an extra measure to keep it from sinking?
That’s great.. glad it helped! 😊 yes, we definitely recommend using edge restraints with 12” galvanized nails so that they’re held in place. Good luck! 👊🏻😎
I agree- we don’t use it anymore. We started using HPB (high performance bedding). It’s pricier but much more superior. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. If you’re in TikTok come join me @francescopettinelli

No expert needed if it’s only to repair a small area like this one. This is why we recommended to place the pavers on the side in the same pattern that it was removed so that they go back in the same way without a problem. Anyone who is handy can do this for themselves. 😊 no need to pay an expert for this.
Yes, you’re absolutely right.. it depends who’s doing it. It would probably take an inexperienced person a little longer. 😊 This video is meant to show you HOW TO REPAIR your pavers and NOT about how long it takes. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Thanks for the comment James - That’s a great question! Yes you do. Because the driveway is already sloped towards the street, you want to make sure you’re level side to side. When you look at your pavers they should look level with a slope towards wherever you want the water to go. This is a repair so we can’t really change the slope because your bound by the pavers on the sides. Hopefully this makes sense to you lol 😂 thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! 🦾
Yes you can do this at home but professionals like this are worth every penny.
Thank you for the comment! Very much appreciated 😊👍🏻
agreed 👍
Nah people need to do more stuff on their own. Too lazy watching CNN or some other useless hobby. These guys are great though

Yes, you can do this yourself. Don’t worry - the beauty of setting pavers is that if you make a mistake you can just do it again. You’ll get it right!

Do you not need sand on top before placing the pavers?
No, the polymer sand is added only to fill the joints. We recommend HPB (high performance bedding) to level your pavers. Good luck! 😊
Another paver repair video stated “never ever use stone dust” due to drain issues.
I agree- we don’t use it anymore. We started using HPB (high performance bedding). It’s pricier but much more superior. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. If you’re in TikTok come join me @francescopettinelli
