Next time when ASOIAF normies think you're being crass by supporting the antagonists, know they're the same type who cheer on Wyman Manderly's Frey Pies and Theon's Ramsey treatment.
Even though it's fiction, why do you defend and justify a character who is a rapist, pedophile, and a child murderer? Not all characters in Asoiaf are morally grey. Some are evil like the Mountain or kind-hearted like Sam, otherwise it would be very boring. George killed the Mountain in a terrible way because he is one of the most evil characters in the books. It's not that hard to understand.
@@Faizanisthegoat Rapists are real… you know that right??? Why the heck would you waste your time defending a secondary character, in a 30 minute video, whose only story is about raping women? Don't you have other characters with more interesting stories to talk about? If you defend that in fiction, I can't imagine what you defend in the real world...
@@sofpalspsps5800 Yes, rapists are real, as are murderers, pedophiles, and all sorts of horrific people. I'm not defending the Mountain, obviously. I'm defending the joke. The reason, if you're unaware, why rapists are considered bad is because they rape people, take away consent, and hurt them. Their effects are real. The Mountain, however, is a fictional character. He can't hurt anyone in real life, and he hasn't hurt anyone in real life. His effects are not real, no matter how his actions make you feel. As I said, I'm here to defend the joke, so let me explain it to you since you don't seem to understand: Everyone knows what the Mountain did is bad. He is presented as morally reprehensible in the show and is clearly meant to be a villain. He's not a morally gray character, nor is he an anti-hero-he's a villain. That's what makes trying to defend his actions futile; no sane person would genuinely try to defend him. Key word: genuinely. These people aren't genuinely defending him. The joke is that the Mountain is so bad and so morally reprehensible that the very act of trying to defend him is humorous because he's clearly so evil. If you listen to the video, even briefly, you'll see they never try to defend rape. They never suggest that the woman deserved to be raped. In the show, it’s clear the Mountain raped her, and there’s no way to defend him unless you believe rape is okay, which no one does. As I said earlier, the humor comes from the absurdity of trying to defend such an evil person. They even misinterpret events as part of the joke, claiming he didn’t rape her, and suggesting that everyone in the series sees him as bad because of the Hound’s "sob stories" (an obvious joke). You need to understand that it’s not a genuine defense; it’s a way to provoke people who can’t understand jokes and take themselves too seriously. I understand that what the Mountain does makes people who read the story uncomfortable, particularly the rape, and that’s fine-it should make you uncomfortable. But for you to suggest that I or the people on this channel would defend actual rapists (as in, people who have raped someone in real life) or the real-life effects of rape is completely disingenuous and willfully ignorant. Perhaps you are deflecting.
These videos make me sick. I forget that some of the sweetest and most kind hearted characters have so much unwarranted hate spewed at them in the fandom. #justiceforgreg
Loud snorers can have a condition that makes them choke when they are sleeping so its probable that Greg got blamed for the death after he was found dead.
I think a character who is a misunderstood freak who for all intents in purposes is a mirror opposite of Tyrion, where his one brother hates him, he's a giant, and not renowned for his intelligence, fits in perfectly with the story. And a noble or at least at heart noble protector plagued by the bloodthirsty monster reputation and lies is one of those "gray characters" GRRM likes.
"I'm just gonna pretend to follow Lord Tywin's orders but I'm gonna rescue Elie and her kids...but i tripped and fell over them. Also Sandor hit me first" -Ser Gregor (probably)
All I’m saying is: I didn’t see what The Mountain “Allegedly” did during the sacking of Kings Landing. For all we know, the honorable Sir Gregor was trying to escort the innocent Targaryens to safety and showed up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Mountain did nothing wrong, I saw it i was there
Every notification I get from you guys is a guaranteed laugh out loud. Keep posting kino
Thank you for bringing this to light, he was my friend, i never believed anything they said about him!. Justice for Greg!

Because it's not real
Perhaps you are deflecting.
because these guys just hate women, plain and simple
These videos make me sick. I forget that some of the sweetest and most kind hearted characters have so much unwarranted hate spewed at them in the fandom. #justiceforgreg
Mountain's video before Maestar Pycel? Walking on thin ice there, dudes..
Please forgive us
Loud snorers can have a condition that makes them choke when they are sleeping so its probable that Greg got blamed for the death after he was found dead.
I've been awaiting this video for so long. You guys are absolutely spot on. I've been defending him all year since I finished ASOS
Why couIdnt this have been the craster video instead?
they should have had you guys as lawyers at the nürnberg trials
Amazing lol 🔥
Bros, we need a "Maegor the Based" video next 😏
Someday, when people decide that pre-GoT era videos are worth watching lol
@@OurHiltsHurtjust put AI art of his wives in the thumbnail.
Best takes on GOT on the internet.
The Hound going into business for himself.
"I'm just gonna pretend to follow Lord Tywin's orders but I'm gonna rescue Elie and her kids...but i tripped and fell over them.
Also Sandor hit me first"
-Ser Gregor (probably)
The Mountain is low key a SAINT
Lol...
Arthur punishes D.W. and we all give him a pass, but The Mountain does it to Sandor and he's somehow irredeemable?
Arthur is too powerful to condemn. He made that fist and it summoned a thunder storm
The Mountain is actually the shrouded lord in disguise. It is known
Vargo Hoat defense is gonna be insane 🔥🐐
the goat
You guys just can’t miss with these takes
All I’m saying is: I didn’t see what The Mountain “Allegedly” did during the sacking of Kings Landing. For all we know, the honorable Sir Gregor was trying to escort the innocent Targaryens to safety and showed up in the wrong place at the wrong time.
People that dislike this video are the same people that think Dumbnaerys and The Karen in the North are good characters.
I feel like the mountain and craster would get along
Truth 🙏 Gregor the son Craster never had
Gregor and the mountain would bring civilization beyond the wall and defeat the others in an afternoon
This is top tier commentary 😂❤❤❤. This is now my new favorite channel! 🎉
Rewatching cause my boy Greg needs some justice from all the slander Sandy put him through.
As a member of the anti-snoring brigade it is a justifiable action on the action of the mountain
He is completely justified
love your content guys, when i watch some of your stuff i feel like some of the stuff you say is ragebait which i find funny because i know some people get hella angry
Let them rage lol
Alright, I'm not sure if I agree with this, but I am going to watch the video and hear you out. I'll comment again with my final thoughts.
Let us know 🤙🏼
"It's basically a fairytale." Oh jeez
He did basically lose to the Viper though; The Hound, Jaime, or Robert would have never let that Dornish snake spear them.
In Defense of Ramsay Bolton please
I would love to hear yours guy's take on actual historical figures. i would recommend misunderstood Austrian painters. there's is one in particular comes to mind really misunderstood and he single handedly ended WW2 by killing Hitler, the guy is a real hero. i think its time to give him his flowers.
ambushes Beric
takes Harrenhal TWICE
smashes the left flank of Roose Bolton despite being paired with Tyrion
ambushes the Northern raiders at Duskendale
does better than anyone else at Stoney Mill
probably the best commander in the series
Dudes got a good record
