By the time we were at this stage we KNEW where to stand in the formation. When we called to formation we just go in the spot to start with. that seemed like a lot of maneuvering at the beginning. Curious why they are not all dressed the same. Not bad though.
The day before town pass after graduating, you’re allowed to wear whatever combination of dress blues you would like. Other than that every formation you will match with whatever the UOD is. As far as cutting through the grass you are still not allowed to do that.
Man, why don't these trainees know where they should stand prior to the "taller tap" session? At this point, everyone should have already figured out where they should stand before going into formation.
@@ziadajam5433 My flight and I knew exactly where to stand, so by the time we were in formation, we didn't have to move when our MTI said "taller tap". After week 3, we were tired of getting yelled at for not falling in the flight correctly.
I don't know if it looks good or not and can only speak for the USAF. We size up the flight so that the tallest airmen are in the fourth element directly behind the guidon (the airman who carries the unit banner on the pole.) As the fourth element leader who was a good foot taller than the guidon there were many hours worth of awkward moments when I well that wasn't your q. . .

Because it always changes you could be 2nd rank 1st element or 10th rank 4th element. We were never told to do it otherwise

FYI...The Air Force and Marine Corps do more drill and ceremony in Basic Military Training then the Army.
