Maori culture is amazing, had warriors that battled as bravely as any in history. New Zealand must make every effort to support and preserve this incredible culture.
I am African American, but I have always had so much respect and love for the Maori, Polynesian, Samoan cultures. I know I may be missing some, but respect them all. I have always wanted to learn and perform one of the dances and chants to be able to show those in the culture that i love and respect them. I did sing Chant of the Islands though i messed up on it. I have a feeling of huge respect for Haka and culture around it. I strangely feel it is a forgotten part of me, perhaps from another life.
Local boy born n raised Hawaiian, island of O'ahu. Wish I could have met my ancestors and to know of our origin. So grateful to be Polynesian!!! One of many strong and powerful poly cultures not only in war but through theirs(poly) and our language!!!
