  • Hey everyone, thanks for checking out my tutorial, I really hope it helped. In the next video we will be covering the process of texturing the hangar in Blender using materials, texture baking, and exporting the fully textured object.

    Additional remarks:
    - To go into edit mode hit tab while your object is selected, if its not selected nothing will happen
    - I recommend applying all transforms often as it basically updates your object in the Blender data and assures all the operations made on the object are performed well
    - Height is off, I’m not good at making educated guesses lol

Thank you for doing this. I've wanted to learn this exact thing for a while. Once you started doing shortcuts it was a little confusing but I've noticed that everyone uses shortcuts for this app.

You taught an old dog some new tricks! Thank you!
However, at 20:14 you do an inset and get rid of the bottom edge, but you mumble the procedure. I heard "hit B on the keyboard", but that only brings up the Select Box gizmo. How did you really move the bottom edge of the inset to the bottom?

You are correct. You actually hit B while you’re insetting, as opposed to before or after insettting.

@@AviationMaster Yeah, the manual says that, but it doesn't work for me with version 3.3.6. Oh well. The O key command doesn't work either. I'll try the later version you are using, but I have other things to do right now. Thanks. The exporting looks simple; wish me luck.
EDIT: You are absolutely correct! The error was mine; I had not removed the bottom face, and, therefore, there was a face at that edge. I also learned that when you want to invoke the Border mod you first hit 'I' for the Inset function and then, before you drag the mouse, you also hit 'B' to add the Border restriction. 'O' and also have effects. Check out the manual on Inset.
You made my day! Again, thanks for your video and the "new tricks" I learned.
