- Appologies as there's always a bit of a delay between me filming these runs, editing them and actually uploading them. I filmed this Wednesday before last and I've since run the Fairfield Horseshoe which, was awesome. Really enjoyed the race and I got a decent time of 2:08hrs. Next year I'll try for sub 2hrs.
So this video!
The Duddon Valley fell race. Cat AL - 18 miles/6004 ft. Organisied by Black Combe Runners.
The video is a partial recce of the route. As you'll see the visibility was pants due to the clag. However, it turned out to be a good training run and was good to familiarise myself with the sections I did cover.
I might go back and recce the areas I missed out but there's a good chance I won't find the time.
Gearing up for the Isle of Jura fell race next Saturday. I intend to make a video of sorts so watch out for that.

Awesome video mate. Love the calfcam action at the start 🙂That was a proper clagfest. It is a belter of a route, but not an easy one if that stuff is down. Hope you've got your bitty packed and ready for next weekend. Logistical headache, but the race looks amazing 👍😃

Little Stand was relentless when I did DV last year. It pretty much broke me and I got dehydrated as I was rationing my water at that stage. 2023 was a hot one!
I have a feeling 2024 will be the same 😬

@@lakelandtrailrunner I'm not sure we quite have one for visible humidity that's not fog. We do often say it's a "muggy" out if it's humid. But that's more of a feel than a visual. How far is your drive time for a run like this? I'm very curious.
