- At an early age, Australian born guitarist Orianthi had experienced what most aspiring musicians only dream of. She opened for her hero (Steve Vai), backed an Idol (Carrie Underwood), traded solos with a legend (Carlos Santana) and shared the stage with the King of Pop (Michael Jackson). Now two decades into an amazing career, Orianthi has three solo albums in her catalogue and is excited to be releasing brand new music in 2019 including a new single ‘Love Bomb’. Australian Musician’s Greg Phillips spoke to Orianthi about her career, gear and the future.

I remember watching her in RSO and Richie taught her and encouraged her so much. He called her the best guitarist in the world. I love the angle that she hangs the guitar on her body. I wish she would take all the disguise off, we love you as you are, Ori!
That guy ruined her. She left her Alice Cooper gig for his failed project. Got replaced by Nita Strauss.

I love her story. My main influence are Hendrix and SRV, to the point of I sound a lot like SRV to a fault. But the best concert I've ever been to was a Santana theatre gig and he was the living epitome of what a guitar God is, and I've seen most everyone who is world renown for being the best in all genres

Though she answered same questions several times but she's quite happy to answer such questions again and again... that's her good intrinsic part.. she's I think most under rated, she should be exposed as one of the Best guitarist and definitely has a great voice....
