I used this video to replace the kit on my discontinued Crosley toploader! I searched forever and you have the best step by step and explanation!! Please don’t put a time limit on your videos and post more! I have to rebuild my transmission due to leaking oil. We are poor and I have kids. Crosley doesn’t have anything out there on my washer and oil leaking for rebuilding and I’m sure the bearings are broken. I need a miracle lol.
Much respect for showing the process and explaining why you take on these type of jobs. Most techs on warranty calls would opt to get the customer a new unit. Great video and job.
Thank you, I’ve been searching all over and you’re the only person that made this job real. You’re an inspiration, with this transmission can you change internal parts? Or do you need to purchase a new transmission? Again, love you and your videos thank you!!!
I figured this was a warranty repair considering all the new parts but in the end the customer got a new working machine and You made money too. Good video.
How much do you normally charge for this if not in warranty? The parts and labor are usually in line with the customer purchasing a new unit. You used a new gearcase assembly, agitator, inner tub, splutch kit, and belt for this job. Thanks for putting these videos together!
The price depends on if the customer brings the machine to our shop or it’s in their home. Most times parts and labor far exceeds what the customer is willing to pay. Therefore sometimes I just will purchase a really nice washer from them. Refurbish it and resell it to someone in need of a good used machine. Also thanks for watching and commenting. It’s well appreciated.
When you replace transmission and tube stuck like this, you can tilt washer and try pull out transmission from tube. Much easier. However you'll have to put ypu legs against outer drum and pull in spurts
50:50 mix of acetone and automatic transmission fluid(for a vehicle) Best penetrating fluid you will use. Just make sure you don't get any on important painted or reactive plastic surfaces because the acetone can remove some paint and dissolve some plastics.
Thanks for this excellent video! I've got the same exact situation, agitator stuck and I can't get to the clutch to replace it. You said some other guys on a forum had a great idea to get that agitator off, could you please share it? If I have to replace the tub and agitator, might as well buy a used unit.
It's nice when you have all new parts and can just cut stuff apart. What happens when you need to save all that stuff!? I'm sure it's not cheap. 3 jaw puller?
Every washer has a different part number. You have to check your washer model. Then go to foxatlanta.com and put in your model. And look up the sling basket part number.
I have no problem with you doing longer videos. Clear and easy to follow. Thank you.

Liked this. Newer tech. Missed where you put the tub seal back in. Also, what issues point to a weak/bad capacitor? Thanks. Just subscribed, too.
Good work brother
