I very much agree about the great amenities available on Celebrity Edge. I sailed on it for the first time in July, and found it stylish, well-appointed and offering excellent entertainments in the impressive theatre, the fabulous Eden and throughout the ship, together with a variety of themed dining options. Highly recommended!
Chris love the name change. I saw both ships at Circular Quay we sailed Solstice last April on her repositioning sailing Singapore to Sydney a very relaxing cruise plenty of sea days. Haven't sailed The Edge yet but with retirement looming who knows? I did have a chat with an American gentleman who had just disembarked from Celebrity Edge and asked him about his experience he told me that the repositioning sector from Hawaii to Sydney was way too long. I do wonder if some of our American friends realise how far away Australia really is. Anyway keep up the good work 🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢
I am Canadian. I was on the ship. The repositioning sector from Hawaii to Australia was exactly as long as it needed to be. Your American friend should consider flying if time is of the essence.
I sailed into Sydney on the Celebrity Edge yesterday morning! I am from Canada but embarked in Honolulu. I absolutely loved my Infinite Veranda cabin. I particularly enjoyed leaving the window open all night. It was a wonderful cruise with six ports in French Polynesia and New Zealand and the predawn sail in to Circular Quay was breathtaking! This is my first visit to Australia and I cannot think of a better way to arrive!
@@ChrisFrameOfficial Absolutely! And I couldn’t help thinking that if I had been sailing into Sydney Harbour (or Botany Bay) in 1824, not 2024, I probably would have been convicted of some trivial crime and transported to the penal colony under horrible conditions!
At least we get better Celebrity ships than RCC send us down under even though l realise they are owned by the same company. However can you send us one for Brisbane as a home port. We have P & 0 😢 no thanks, we have RCC which has gone downhill fast. We need our Greek friends back, they bought millions of us safely to Australia for twenty five years in the fifties to seventies. Please Don’t forget Brisbane.
The parabolic bow is designed for a smooth ride in choppy waters and also improves fuel efficiency. The Magic Carpet is very useful on tender days and is otherwise a nice place to hang out. And the Infinite Veranda cabins, which look like lots of big windows, are controversial, but I love the extra space and the ability to sleep with the window wide open.
@@gerardacronin334 I like the veranda's too. The ship doesn't have a bulbous bow and I dislike the vertical bow design but if it actually does reduce emissions I am all for it.

Edge is the best ship in the 🇦🇺 market at the moment.
Thanks for the update.
Thank you for the video

Sounds like a fantastic cruise - what a great way to see Australia for the first time!

@@gerardacronin334Interesting thought process, but yes, those times did exist.
19 days until we cruise on this beauty
You’ll love it!!

@@font-suite I beg your pardon, it is a parabolic bow. I will edit my comment.
Were those plants exposed whilst ship was in Sydney? They are all usually covered for bio security.
@@Tellyawhat4 I believe they were covered.
