Hey great video. I couldn't hear any significant difference between the UAD and Waves. And this is a first bcos I have always thought the UAD stuff have a slight edge over Waves, but not this time.
Who does a better job of emulating API's compressor: Waves or UAD? Today we are going figure this out with an 8 way comparison. We'll keep the focus here on the drums, using it as parallel compression, looking at both the New and Old Tone settings.

Word. UAD of course can still offload processing from the CPU, but I'd hope that to not be the only benefit.
I just got the UAD native for $39. Cant go wrong. I do think UAD has something more analog about it.

Yeah. Hopefully these vintage emulations are "easy" to do at this point.
