You are indeed an artist! Even if you are taking someone else's work as inspiration, you have an inventive mind, and you take it further. Like doing this in a picture frame, or putting resin only on the sides of a pyramid so that the void is a place to put the lights. I love the way your mind works, and am always looking forward to your next project!
You said that you love to see what you have inspired people to make. I have to say, I was telling my mom today that I choose to watch TH-camrs who are bright, cheerful and add positivity to the world. So I thought I would let you know that beyond creative inspiration, your beautiful personality inspires me to be be a more positive person
I love this technique! There are so many possibilities, you could frame a photo, you could use the card stock to outline a calligraphy phrase, you could print out any stained glass design.. put the glass over it and follow the pattern. The green and yellow in your piece looks identical to Uroboros stained glass. It’s one of my favorite’s, I used it almost exclusively for my organic pieces and over the years cut out hundreds of leaves 🍃 with it.😅 I wonder if a little bit thicker card stock would allow you to glue the fairy lights to the back of that.. hiding the wires? I agree with you, I don’t care for the wires showing either. Love how it turned out! Beautiful job!
Thank you Funo, I agree with you, the possibilities are endless! I love stained glass too and I think this is the closest I can get to creating stained glass without actually creating stained glass!
This frame looks awsome !!! AND I would't be sad about the side you chose to be the front; the back-side looks more clear, but the front-side is more whimsical and has more shadows and looks organic in a really nice way, a bit like watercolours. This technique seems to be a new trend and reminds me strongly of chinese cloisonné-art, which I was lucky to observe in a chinese workshop in 1985. Great video 🙂
Louise, it's always such a joy to watch and listen to your tutorials! When my sister passed on, I took a lot of her art supplies. She had a coloring book of different stained glass pictures. When I saw this, I was immediately thinking if all the possibilities of using them with this project. I will most definitely give this one a shot and see what happens. What an inspiration you are. I feel lucky indeed to have found your channel! Have a great week! 💜
Thank you ever so much for this comment Charlene I’m so glad I have inspired you. You should tag me on Instagram when you have your finished artwork to show. I’d love to see it.
That is beautiful I am so glad I found ur channel I would normally never watch a video longer than 6 or 7 mins but urs are perfect!!! Never board thank u
Lou, this is just fantastic! It looks amazing. It can be made with a baby's name, birth time and weight etc. A perfect gift for someone, anyone, it's fabulous. Something beautiful and different to give to that difficult to buy for friend, or relative. Your idea's are so brilliant. Everything you do is just mind blowing. Thank you my dear friend , love you. Xx
Wow beautiful what a great idea you are very artistic and have a wonderful imagination. That would be a perfect gift. I am definitely going to try it. I say that every time. Lol
HI Louise, WOW my goodness Louise, you always Amaze me with your absolutely stunning resin art work I thought your light up picture looked so amazing really different I absolutely loved it looking forward to seeing your next amazing resin art work ❤️ Lin Hope Honey is ok ❤️
It’s funny you should say that, I have a Moorcroft vase from the prairie collection and it is very similar. Perhaps it was my subconscious inspiration!
I really loved how this turned out and have jutted used your link to order some J diction to give it a try see what the resin is like so thanks for sharing your creativity and for the discount codes see you next time
Fabulous! I did quilling for years so I love an idea that allows me to use quilling strips in a new way. I've never used resin before but I'll try it out on a smaller picture frame to get the hang of it.
YAY, you're back! I've been haunting your channel, so how I missed this 2 days ago, I don't know?! This "stained glass" picture is so gorgeous! What a wonderful tutorial...thank you for making it. 😊🌺
Absolutely love this!! I never would have thought to do this. Getting the strips of cardstock to behave until they dry in place might drive me bonkers. But there are many possibilities and I can see how making a bunch of them might be tempting 😊
I felt the same way! I wanted to immediately rush out and get started on a project. I've made faux stained glass in the past by tinting clear glue and using black puffy paint as "leading," but this looks like it would have far more dimension and durability.
This is beautiful! Thank you so much for another awesome video. I’ve been getting a little burnt out with my current projects, so thanks so much for the beautiful inspiration!
That is so effin cool 😎 😍 n so so beautiful 😍 ❤ I luv it!! I was just thinking 🤔 I have some quilling (I think it's called) paper that I bought years ago n never really got n2 it. U think that would work for this
So very pretty!! Another winner!!💞 My question is: instead of using the black paper could you have used a hot glue gun to make your design? I'm new to resin so I don't know if the resin & hot glue would play nice or not? Any idea??
I wouldn’t recommend quilling paper it just isn’t sturdy enough and will probably warp. Traditional quilling designs do work in resin (when it’s all coiled up) but single strips are definitely not strong enough.
I have heard that too but it hasn’t happened to me. I have a glass piece that I made 3 years ago and it’s fine. I think if it’s in a frame it will be much less likely to happen but maybe if it was a thin layer on a table top it wouldn’t be so resilient.

Thank you so much. Yes I agree with you about the texture and the cloisonné technique. I tried that with enamels once but failed miserably.

I have found three frames in my craft stash and now I know what to do with them!!!
This reminds me of cloisonne. Perhaps one day you might try some faux cloisonne experiments.

Thank you so much it’s good to know that people look forward to my uploads and even better when they enjoy them 😀
What about running the paper through a shredder? I think the cheaper ones only cut the paper in strips.
So pretty! I love this idea! Thank you for sharing!

Turned out so beautiful 😍
What a brilliant idea Louise thank you for sharing. Could you use acetate and not the glass to give you more space?
Thank you. Yes it would work with acetate.
That is so effin cool 😎 😍 n so so beautiful 😍 ❤ I luv it!!
I was just thinking 🤔 I have some quilling (I think it's called) paper that I bought years ago n never really got n2 it. U think that would work for this
could you do the same thing using copper wire?
So very pretty!! Another winner!!💞 My question is: instead of using the black paper could you have used a hot glue gun to make your design? I'm new to resin so I don't know if the resin & hot glue would play nice or not? Any idea??
Thank you very much. Yes you can definitely use hot glue but I think the finished result would not be so crisp.
@@LouiseSingletonCreations Thank you😊
Craftswoman 👍👍
Can I use the paper quills for this ?

I’ve heard putting resin on glass will peal eventually. Do you know if this is true?
I have heard that too but it hasn’t happened to me. I have a glass piece that I made 3 years ago and it’s fine. I think if it’s in a frame it will be much less likely to happen but maybe if it was a thin layer on a table top it wouldn’t be so resilient.
@@LouiseSingletonCreations Thank you, Louise!! That makes a lot of sense!!! I’m looking forward to try the technique you’ve used here!
Great job, it came out gorgeous. Yes, I am inspired. Thank you.
Fabulous art piece!
