To your 6 year old, you are the smartest person on the planet. When your 6 year old grows up, he'll have a 6 year old looking at him the same way with no clue what to do :D
I think this is awesome. Only thought would be to do the squares in a rough stone to be meteorites or comets but the epoxy, planets and lights are amazing. Great job and skill.
You know what would be awesome? If you made the chess pieces as planets. For Example: Star as King (Sun) Gas Giants as Queens (Jupiter & Neptune) Ringed Planets as Bishops (Saturn & Uranus) Rocky Planets as Knights (Earth & Venus) Small Planets as Rooks (Mercury & Mars) Asteroids as Pawns Then, do exoplanets of the same quality for the opposite side.
Im sure you can adjust the brightness on the app. Thank you for all your videos youve taken the time to make, vids like these inspire me to try new things and i end up learning a bunch of new things and gaining many new skills in the process. Your vids are very straight forward and easy to follow and PERFECTLY paced. Incredible skills and creativity! On another note, i find it interesting how so many people always have to make a comment on what could have been added to make any project“better”. I attempt many little projects and i always get the same thing, most everybody has a comment on what i should have done differently to have achieved better results. I will always be a student in life and open to all constructive criticism and credible advice, but for the most part i dont think that comments like that are meant to be positive or constructive. Its great that people are inspired and making creative changes to a project to make it their own, in fact i think that AWESOME. Post a pic so i can appreciate what unique take of the project was. But anybody can sit behind a screen and tell someone what they could have done to make iany project better (in their opinion), but i think comments like that are disrespectful and demeaning because instead of appreciating and acknowledging someones hard work and creativity as well as their desire to share their work with the public to inspire and encourage others by showing us that we can do these things too, they criticize someones best effort and attempt to connect to ppl without giving any credit or acknowledgement to the ppl who took the time and effort and worked so hard to help and share something positive and special with everyone and anyone who has a desire to learn. I find it almost discouraging sometimes, esp when ive done my best and am proud of what ive accomplished and am excited to share it with others, only to get hammered with how i could of or should have done this or that differently, or how i did something minor, or major, wrong, etc etc. Very discouraging and can really make someone feel like their efforts arent appreciated or even worth their time. How about a simple thank you or thumbs up, or even though you think you could have done so much better being considerate and appreciating that someone took alot of time out of their week to inspire, encourage and motivate you. Felt great to get this off my chest. Ive left less than 5 comments on vids in my life, and this is off a reply that i had to expand lol, so i dont know if anyone will even see this buried small novel of a rant, but hopefully the chess board builder does and knows that theres at least one person who really appreciates you sharing your builds with them, and it has resulted in me being privileged enough to make a few custom boards for loved ones who were speechless and blown away when they received them as gifts, and i never would have even thought to attempt this project if i didnt come across your vids which blew me away and also gave me the confidence to attempt making them myself. So THANK YOU SO MUCH and i look forward to seeing future efforts on your behalf!!
Wow! Absolutely outstanding! I admire your work so much. I love art, creativity and good handwork, and you bring them all into one piece. I wish I could make these masterpieces myself. But all the materials you used there seem to be very expensive, without mentioning the work tools you have there. Just wow.
Nice Board!! I have to make a Suggestion about using that Red clamps. 15:07 The Metal rod goes into the holes of that square and you tighten them from the outside. Thats why there are holes in the square. Just saying.
Yeah I caught that too! Dudes definitely at risk of messing up the wood, having a metal rod pushing into it. Seems pretty self-explanatory... Idk if those are woodpecker jigs, (I know there's plenty of cheap imitations of their products)- but if those are, you should know how to use the stuff properly when it's that expensive.
Incredible video! The meticulous detail and artistry you bring to each chess piece are truly awe-inspiring. It's a pleasure to see such talent and craftsmanship in action. Keep up the great work!
The craftsmanship is wonderful. Terrific job. Just one comment. The board is setup wrong. The double corner is on the right. That way the Queens will be on the correct square (their own color).
Beautiful job. Just for general knowledge. To set pieces correctly, White (clear color) square must always be to the right hand and Queen color must match square color.
yeah he easily could have glued on a diffuser over the led's or under the base of the glass. Also many led's strips can be under volted to lower their brightness. He clearly isn't familiar with what he had made lol you can tell by the way he pours the resin. Still turned out pretty nice but I would've made the wood show through as apposed to burying it in resin to give some texture to the surface. He also could've made the galaxy swirl a lot better in my opinion, layering resin and creating depth can go a long way to make something really simple look amazing
The board is set up wrong. Assuming the epoxy squares were intended to be the light colored squares, the board must first be rotated 90 degrees and then the pieces placed, observing the rule that the queen takes her own color. If on the other hand the oak squares were intended to be the light colored squares, then the kings and the queens need to exchange positions and everything is right. But it sure is a good looking chess set.
I don't give a rat's ass about chess. I just saw a beautiful piece of art that this guy spent a lot of time on just for you to whine about it being set up "wrong." Go cry about something that matters.

Stunning. One of my favourites.
My 6 year old son has asked me to make it for him lol. I love that he has so much faith in my abilities….
Thank you so much
To your 6 year old, you are the smartest person on the planet. When your 6 year old grows up, he'll have a 6 year old looking at him the same way with no clue what to do :D
Very cool. An underwater one would be neat.
I think this is awesome. Only thought would be to do the squares in a rough stone to be meteorites or comets but the epoxy, planets and lights are amazing. Great job and skill.
Thank you
You know what would be awesome? If you made the chess pieces as planets.
For Example:
Star as King (Sun)
Gas Giants as Queens (Jupiter & Neptune)
Ringed Planets as Bishops (Saturn & Uranus)
Rocky Planets as Knights (Earth & Venus)
Small Planets as Rooks (Mercury & Mars)
Asteroids as Pawns
Then, do exoplanets of the same quality for the opposite side.
Neptune is technically an ice giant and while invisible Jupiter does have rings.
What would the other sides pawns be?
No, dwarf planets as pawns.
Nice idea! I was thinking of him putting those space suit helmets on the piece's "heads"
All these comments about the board being set up wrong…who cares? The focus is the board itself, it’s awesome! Great job!
Thank you so much
Its not the board only the pieces lol... but still a rare skill better than what most of the negative commentator can ever achieve on a chess board
She really put these haters in their place. I bet they haven’t even looked at TH-cam again due to shame. 🥸
❤Simply Amazing!!!!
Thank you for sharing the beautiful work you do.❤
Definitely dope asf😍😍
I would add a defuser over the led strip to give it a softer glow. I think the bright leds attract too much intension away from the broad.
can't you just shut up and appreciate this great piece of work?!
Im sure you can adjust the brightness on the app.

This is one of the coolest chess boards ive seenmade absolutely fantastic
Thank you so much
Truly beautiful. It was brilliant to add some resin then add a few more planets for a better "depth" effect. This was a pleasure to watch.
great project. I bet if you put some kind of diffuser over those lights it will look even better.
Wow! Absolutely outstanding!

Amazing work. Beautiful chess board.

Very cool idea! 😯
Beautiful job. Just for general knowledge. To set pieces correctly, White (clear color) square must always be to the right hand and Queen color must match square color.
No one cares, it was set up for a demo shot to show how the board looks.
Who cares? It's a piece of art, and for him, probably something he sold.
Holy shit, this is something I need in my life immediately. This is bad ass.
This is stunning! Great job! 😊
I'm into space and chess. This looks wonderful!
FA-VO-LO-SO!!!

Singlehandedly keeping the epoxy resin industry in business.

White led looks beest
Looks nice. Would there some way to add a diffuser(?) for the lights to hide the individual LEDs?
yeah he easily could have glued on a diffuser over the led's or under the base of the glass. Also many led's strips can be under volted to lower their brightness. White Queen on white and black queen on black
Was looking to see if someone else noticed this lol
