    These cards are amazing and beautiful. Here in the Northeast USA, (August 5, 2022) when I am seeing this for the first time, there are many wildflowers in bloom. I can go outdoors and gather, dry and be prepared to make some special people some very special cards. Thank you so much for sharing this video with us! I am most grateful. Hmmm, amazing the thoughts of making this style of card now...wow! Blessings to you!

    Your flowers were lovely and made your cards extra special. I have ordered some Wise Dry for the first week of April so I can dry some of the early spring flowers. I've never used it before, so I'm very grateful to you for this tutorial. Thanks to you, I will know just what to do!

      Thank you so much Linny. I do like making resin cards with flowers because the beauty of the flowers means the cards still look good even if I choose the wrong colour for the resin lol.

    And once again an amazing video. I’ve used drying crystal for years to make cards, pictures and even mix them with other items. Since I’m fairly new to resin I can’t wait to try. Keep up the great work!

    I've recently dried flowers. My problem was that it was unexpected, so by the time I had received my silica gel, the flowers had already wilted quite a bit. The flowers were from my sister's funeral. I will probably buy more flowers to dry while they're still fresh so that I can make the things I want to make for family and friends, and they'll turn out much better than the flattened roses and other flowers. For now, I am using just the petals. Some I've put into pendant blanks, others I put into heart molds, and I've even crushed petals and mixed them with white colored resin & put in heart molds and pendants. I like the purple, pink & red poking up through the resin. I'll have to see what other colors look good. I really appreciate this video, because it gives me another idea of what to do with the flowers. Thank you so much for what you do!

      Thank you Margaret. A similar thing happened to me. My friend wanted me to use her bridal flowers but by the time she got them to me most of them were dead. I like your ideas for using the petals, I bet they looked lovely x

    Those are so pretty, Louise! I've never made cards or dried flowers, but I did purchase a large (to me!) container of flower drying silica. I wanted to dry flowers for using in my resin pieces...buying dried flowers is crazy expensive! I do believe I may be picking up a new hobby...oh, dear! 😄🙄 running out of hobby storage space!

    • @LouiseSingletonCreations
      @LouiseSingletonCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, I’m glad you like them. I agree, dried flowers are super expensive. The silica gel crystals I used are quite expensive as a initial purchase too but you can use them over and over because they can be dried out in the oven, I love the stuff!

    • @fairyspunfibers9098
      @fairyspunfibers9098 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Buying the crystals would totally be worth the initial layout of money! That's really the only sane way to get large quantities of dried flowers, imo! 😊
