Kids & Diabetes in Schools: Kick-off event in Thailand in 2024

A global initiative for 10 years with worldwide implementation, the Kids & Diabetes in Schools (KiDS) has been launched in Thailand in June 2024 by Sanofi Thailand, in close collaboration with the Diabetes Association of Thailand and the Medical Services Department of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration with support of the Diabetes Community in Thailand.
The objectives are to foster safe and friendly environment for kids and young adults living with type 1 diabetes and to promote healthy lifestyle for kids in Thailand.
The activities consist of
1. A full day workshop of 60+ participants from multidisciplinary fields ranging from teachers, nurse educators, parents and caregivers and people living with diabetes
2. A press conference gathering 30 journalists who amplify knowledge further with 56 publications offline and online.
3. A landing page is also created www.t2dminsulin.com/Kids to share knowledge and results of the brainstorming session for further actions.
4. KiDS education tools, developed by International Diabetes Federation (IDF) were also distributed to participating schools.
