    We’re going to Utah and Colorado in June. Didn’t know you were going until seeing this. Currently I have the RotoPax on the roof but I don’t like that setup because of the amount of room it takes up. This looks like a better option.

    Agreed on the Rotopak keys. I emailed them asking if they can be coded/sorted the same and it's not an option. Boo. On arrival there's nothing to mention which key it is on the package. Can only do it by sight.

    Thanks again for all of the informative information. Sometimes you don't think about all of the little things that are required. I do have a question though. Where did the name Coddiewomple Overland come from. Thanks.

      Thanks for watching! The definition of Coddiwomple is to wonder amlisly towards an unknown destination.

    That moment when the drill bit goes through the fiberglass 😬😬... seriously though, great install tutorial! We don't have a Jeep, but I've been thinking about how to mount rotopax on our trucks rtt rack. 🤙-Josh

    So those bottom brackets don’t bolt under the hard top with the bolts that hold the hard top on? They just float there?

    Glad you did this one. I've been thinking about installing them. How easy would it be to take the trail tax system on and off to use only when needed?

    • @CoddiwompleOverland
      @CoddiwompleOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not difficult at all. The Trailrax looks pretty good without the rotopax too

      I think the four pax setup is best...I have a water, fuel and storage...so just need to add another fuel

    couldn't you just scoot the rear bracket over to the other mounting holes?

    • @CoddiwompleOverland
      @CoddiwompleOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, because they would not be in the correct location.

    I have that same roof rack. How did you mount the RTT? Did you use a special bracket? Or screws?

    What is the size of the mounting plate?

      We are traveling at the moment and I am not home with the jeep to be able to measure it.

    Love the channel. Are you running 37s? Is this a rubicon? If not, curious what you’ve done to front end to handle 37s. Everyone tells me not to go bigger than 35s. I have a Dana 30 on the front of my JK

      @CoddiwompleOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! It s not a Rubicon however it has a D44 front out of a Rubicon. I would at least upgrade the axles in you D30 to go to 37's. Mike and Loras sliver Jeep ah a D30 with upgraded axles and has no problems.

      Check out bf Goodrich 37’s. In a C rating. They are light and on a JL no issue.
