    Ok I need your help! I have a few different varieties of palm but my arcea for some reason ALWAYS has yellowing tips on the leaves. I water appropriately, I have replaced the soil and washed the roots which are beautiful by the way but for some reason, the darn tips turn yellow on me along with some browning. The plant is beautiful don't get me wrong but I rim the yellow and brown tips over and over and they always come back. HELP!

    Hi Martin, my plant gets new branches and later in a weeks time of opening it gets light green and turns brown and looks ugly to leave it in there. I have repotted but it does not look healthy. It’s about 15 yrs and was given as gift. Don’t know how to bring it back to being green and healthy like before.

    Yes I bought an Areca 18 months ago as my last one died from over pruning, unfortunately I don't think I have cared correctly for my current plant, it still has healthy green leaves but many fronds have wilted and died, I have had to prune a lot off as a result, I am going to change the position to receive morning sunshine and change its soil hopefully this does the trick!

    Many unique points didnt see it in other videos thank u. (Suscribed)
    I recently repotted my palm i removed 2 stems as i felt it was mushy n will kill entire plant but after repot my other stem leavs seem to getting dried/burned not sure what the reason could be.
    1. I did wash it with soap neem oil n bit of baking soda mixed water
    2. Kept the plant roots to air a bit as suggested by someone to kill if there is any fungus (covered in moist paper) for aprox 10hr
    3. Potted it back in

      @@BigBoyPlants uk. I have it the kitchen which a very bright room, but it’s not sitting direct in the sunlight. The kitchen is a lovely warm place. So I thought this would be good. It’s just the watering I’m concerned on because I know it’s fussy when it comes to feeding time .

    • @TheTommyLambert
      @TheTommyLambert 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Megacowmilker353 I live in the UK too and I’m getting one of these for my south facing bedroom. A lot of my larger houseplants prefer to stay on the drier side and I usually stick my finger in the soil and see if the top 2 inches are dry when I pull my finger out. If it is, I give it a little drink! How fast your plant takes up the water is very dependant on so many things including light/heat/size of the plant and pot. But if you see the soil is moist on the surface then don’t water it. My monstera only gets watered about every 3 weeks during spring and summer when it’s warmer and it seems happy with not a weekly drink :) hope this helps!

      @@TheTommyLambert thank you. I really want to look after this plant and make
      Sure it thrives. I think every other day I’ll keep sticking my finger in the soil to see if it’s ok. Thanks again.
