Magnifying Lenses for Welding - Are You Half Blind Like Me

Like me, many of us are wearing glasses especially when we’re getting old (and doesn't it suck LOL). But the problem is, if we have a welding hobby, our glasses do not fit well inside our welding helmets because most welding helmets are not designed to accommodate an extra layer of materials over our eyes. Also, wearing eyeglasses inside welding helmets may cause reflections due to the absorption of light by our eyeglasses.
So are there any welding helmet magnifying glasses that we can buy and install into our welding helmets but can have the same vision as our prescription reading glasses? Actually, I have discovered that you can buy magnifying cheater lenses online and you can have the option of choosing the strength you require. These magnifying cheater lenses can serve as the welding glasses for your welding helmet that you can stick inside the welding helmet and make things bigger for your vision. And for your info, these are being used not only by those who need reading glasses but also by people with normal vision because these lenses can magnify objects for example when you want to see in detail what’s happening in a weld pool.
How to install welding helmet magnifying lenses can be easy if your welding helmet has a slot and clips that you can slip and secure the lenses. And because the slots of these helmets are wide, you can adjust the position of these magnifying cheater lens up and down based on your visual comfort.
But how to install welding helmet magnifying lenses if you’re using cheaper helmets that don’t have slots for magnifying welding glasses? Don’t worry because this video is all about this.
