  • I have been doing a few videos about plasma cutters, so it’s about time that I teach you how to change your yeswelder welding helmet cover lenses if you own a helmet like mine. How to change welding helmet cover lenses may vary from one helmet to another. Some of the cheaper welding helmet models only need the push and clip method but as with my yeswelder lyg-q800d, this requires a bit of disassembling including the auto-darkening filter lens inside the helmet.
To sum it up, this video is all about detailing changing the yeswelder helmet cover lenses because even I got a little confused when I first handled this new helmet because there are a lot of clips that hold everything in place. And I also have to remind you that some of the plastic clips that hold the lenses can be small, fragile and springy.
Changing the yeswelder lyg-q800d lenses may be necessary whenever your lens gets blurry due to overuse, age, or handling. It's better to have extra lenses on hand ready. All though when you order your unit, it comes with 2 plastic front lens filters.
As I mentioned, how to change welding helmet cover lenses can be quite easy especially if your helmet has the simple pull and push installation requirements. However, it’s a different story when changing the internal lens, particularly with the yeswelder lyg-800d. Because as you will see in this video, it requires that you’ll need to disassemble the whole set of the filter lens as you cannot just pull out the old lens because of the narrow space inside the helmet.
As such, you have to carefully pull out the plastic holders from their sockets to free the whole unit, but be aware that the internal filter replacement lenses are also fragile that they may break with careless installation. But when it comes to yeswelder welding helmet cover lenses replacement, It's quite simple to replace them you just need to take your time. Careful observation of how the plastic cover lens is being held in place can give you an idea on how to change welding helmet cover lenses.
