I've heard a lot of people hate on Avast and I do not understand why. It's a free antivirus that gives good protection. You can customize it down to the letter. It has it's own built in gaming mode and passive mode, you can also disable it in seconds like this video shows. It does not come preinstalled on any machine I have ever used, and finally, if you don't like it, just uninstall it, it literally takes less than 30 seconds to remove it from your machine. It's a completely optional program. My last computer came with Norton, it costed me $95 for a year of the service, it was massively invasive, it consumed a large amount of my machines resources, so I just took the hit and removed it, which required me to download a removal tool, because Norton hides deep within your machine, so I downloaded free avast and it works much better and uses less than half the resources Norton used. But the main thing I don't get, is if you don't like Avast, why not just uninstall it, no one is forcing you...What am I missing here, why all the hate?
