Thanks for the in depth video.
I am looking to use this as a way to open a gate without having the gate wiring outside the property where it can be tampered with as it would be with a DS-KV8113.
Can this controller be trigger through the Hik-Connect app to open the gate aswell as by card reader. Ie if I use DS-KV8113 as a video doorbell can I unlock the gate via the app but have the gate wired via this controller instead the the DS-KV8113?

Hi Kevin,
If you're using video intercom and don't want to use on-board device relay, you can choose to adopt a secure module into the system. Therefore the door station sends the command to the secure module via RS485 (installed on the secure side which is wired to the gate system) to open the gate.

Can we use this controller with a Video intercom ? I ask because I would prefer to control the door lock from a secured tech room instead of directly wiring it to the outside unit.
