    1:23 Trap setup
    5:57 pawn captures pawn
    10:24 knight captures pawn
    11:18 where the trap could break down with black response of D5 instead of xd4 (i.e. engine move)

    This is my first time seeing how a checkmate is actually executed without having to capture most of the opponent's pieces. That actually blew my mind. I don't think I'm sleeping for a few hours after then.

    Could you make a video about Modern defense? As I remember, there were several games where Magnus Carlsen actually faced that defense and played it from both sides of the board. Would be interesting to hear your analysis

  • @charlesvattimo4674
    @charlesvattimo4674 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seems like the optimal decision for the defender here is to push forward with their knight, proposing a mutual knight trade.
    It’d be an error for white to immediately capture in this situation, though if black initiates the trade that’ll leave white with a pawn out in the open after taking black’s pawn, and doubled pawns on the light bishop file.
    I wonder how that would continue to play out?
