    For all you guitar players , check out his capo position at 18 .31 with the open E string .Give it a try its awesome you get a whole new soundscape for E . I love when you learn something like this that has been around for years and you have probably seen and heard it a million times but the time wasnt right to receive the lesson .Thanks Steves for your sharing

      Watch when he uses 2 capos. One raises the tone the other gets you the open base note when playing a D shape.

      I recently saw that on a lot of his solo videos, i am new to Steve, but his already a freakin' legend in mi books. Do you reckon he has the low E dropped to D while havin' a capo on those five strings? Cheers!

      @brazenlilhussy5975 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@julianburgundyfrancis9939 Howya julian, yeah I heard him explaining it as he has the top E tuned to D while the capo just covers the other 5 strings..he plays Guy Clark's 'Dublin blues' that way. Hope that helps man, it does give you a crisp sound.

    Just starting this one. I know like one thing about Earle; he wrote this deep latter day Joan Baez song that I like called "God is God", that I came across like 10 years ago when there was this great folk station on satellite radio, during that minute where they had stations programmed by music fans instead of suits, and I would actually learn stuff. I cancelled it eventually b/c it became as lame as terrestrial radio, just a few more lame flavors.

      You were probably listening to XM back when it was programmed by Jessie. They had more than 5k songs in their playlist. First thing they did after the merger was fire all the DJ's and cut the playlist to 500 songs. Truth. The good news is that Jessie is programming a station for Middle Tennessee State University now that plays great music that you can stream for free. Dont have to pay shit to anybody for crappy suit music played over and over. Check her out. You will like it.
