To answer what happened around 15:09 , the mech can still be destroyed before it explodes.
So better keep it relatively healthy before ejecting to secure the explosion before the plants destroy it.
The best part about that is Wolfy explained this himself in a clip video in the past 😂

It’s great to see you back on garden warfare 2 even if it was only for one episode lol. This genuinely gave me a wave of nostalgia to a few months ago and I’m here for it.

I've been a garden warfare fan for 9 years and was only able to play the game myself recently due to me being from a 3rd world country and not owning a console or a good pc so wathcing this now feels kinda emotional if you know what I mean lol
