@@aisir3725 Shock Army might be meh there's other doctrines that come with Shock Troops like Shock Rifle Frontline Tactics. IMHO shock troops themselves as a unit are expensive but well worth it since they're pretty damage spongey because of their armor value + their PPSH's will rapidly shred through infantry although you need to spend a lot of your focus on microing the shock troops up close since they do more damage the closer you get. They also start with frag and smoke grenades which give them limited counterplay to MG nests. The frag grenade itself has a short timer and subtle + fast wind-up animation compared to molotovs. Basically vs Infantry Shocks are extremely effective but MG nests can easily suppress them and they're pretty much helpless against vehicles.
@@bcordone ikr shock troops are awesome, my favourite part is rushing through a smoke that germans popped they never expect this for some reason, but i like shock army because of awesome mortar and assault package moves conscripts in s tier for even more flexibility and mass suppression comes in handy in late game
Great video. I used the maxim build since I'm an "old school" player who took a break from the game. Something I'd recommend is using attack move with your machine guns while your conscripts are forward so they'll auto deploy when the conscripts see the enemy. Attack move in general is good for support weapons of you're trying to cover multiple avenues of approach because they'll stay in the "ready to deploy" animation until they see an enemy.
Hans, thanks for the break down of Soviets, and honestly the best thing about this video was you breaking down a real game, i learned so much from what you were saying about this and that, i'm currently a level 7 player with most armies and would love to get over that hump, would love for you to break my game play lol. but anyways, i would suggest you do more videos where you break down the game play in the future, just pick better players lol. thanks again. please keep training us! lol

And shocks have enough defense that even g43 pgrens/stromies behind heavy cover with full range vision loose to them while they charge in.

The reason he uses the T-70 is in my theory morale. Maybye if he keeps rushing and crushing those squads the OKW will somehow be scared of them. When he saw pumas maybye he thought is tactic was working

SU76 really needs a revamp or change. I haven't built one or seen them very much in play shortly after the munitions barrage nerf. I'd like to see its anti-vehicle capabilities toned down, range increased to make it a more true mobile indirect arty piece, It just fits the soviet faction better. It's not too crazy or historically inaccurate.
This was a great video mate, stream followers are a little distracting it makes too much noise btw! But watched all learned a lot, and you narrating the game was really fun im gonna look for more stuff. They seemed even worse than me but probabaly watching from birds eye its easy to judge, but seeing without fog helpmed me a lot i gotta tell!
The static arty actually helped me hold the line for like a good long while by slapping capture areas with shells, I had like 2 on the range so I just slapped infantry, we ended the game on a stalemate.
This is so useful! I've been playing as OKW but my friends who got in on the free weekend prefer the allied teams so I'm going to use the Soviets as my secondary team for now. When are you going to release a OKW bootcamp?
I think Artjem was just role-playing soviets i.e. making and losing lots of infantry and tanks, thats why he wouldnt make them retreat or do stupid rushes, sounds like something that Soviets would do in 1941 before they pulled out old commander from gulags

I was cringing incredibly hard with those penals getting suprressed and wipe unnecessarily and with the persistent T-70 blob once he saw the puma. Jesus, keep one to clear out an MG and tech up.

i just wanna win against my assault grenadier spamming friend i swear its so damn annoying he just spams AG's, and PaK guns, and once he has enough fuel he spams Tigers, not using any tactics, and never pushing, always waits for me to push with as example, a penal with flamethrower with a M3, and 2 other penals without flamethrower ye im using a mod that lets me upgrade them with flamethrowers. But its so damn annoying those assault grenadiers just instantly kill my troops because of the quantity he has them in. Please give me some tips on how to counter this.
he doesnt defend it, he just moves 2 spots, with all his units, and once i get to the wrong v point i see all his troops on one spot just camping there its just annoying
soviet is impossible to use against expert AI german, to heal you have to fall back all the way while german can just build bunker anywhere to heal and reinforce....its not possible to hold terrority, the moment i get my AT gun up, expert AI be rushing me with panthers already, then next thing you know is they raining rockets at your base and have tanks patrolling the entire map, then GG.

Old but the T-70 is useful for range if u can keep it alive late game.
He kinda forced that Raketenwerfer spam, which only worked for OKW like once in the match

Wait so in theory you can have something like shock troops or penals composed entirely out of conscripts?

They don't get armor though, but they're like cheaper ppsh conscripts

Depends on if you’re playing 1vs1/2vs2 or 3vs3/4vs4. The shock troop+incendiary+IS-2 is currently good in all modes at the moment.

If you have a Penal batallion squad with 3 man penals and 3 man conscripts will the passive ability work as if they lost 3 penals?
Also, will the whole squad receive the bonus or only the penal batallion models?
That’s a good question I imagine the whole squad would receive the buff. I think it’s just the armor values are different.
