What the hell was wrong with people in 1966 and 1967 that anyone would not buy this instead of anything GM or especially Ford !! This car is the ultimate beautiful machine, and one that stands out anywhere it goes!! Thanks for doing it proud!! ( my 70 Roadrunner had Hijackers and Striders on the front.. cornered like a slot car)!
I think you’re referring to the 1968-1969 Fairlane/Torino fastbacks. The 1968 Charger was a complete redesign. No fastback Chargers for 1968-1969. 1969 Daytonas were the only exception.
That Charger emblem across the taillights is just mint. Looking at the fastback makes me remember how hyped everyone was for this car @ Daytona that year. They even did a side by side comparison mid race of the street version and racing version. I'm sure it was pushed for by the Chrysler Corp.
🤗 THANKS FOR SHARING RICK’s 🥶 CHARGER, I REMEMBER WHEN THEY CAME OUT, I ❤LOVED FASTBACKS,HIDDEN HEADLIGHTS AND THE REAR TAILLIGHTS AND THE INTERIOR AND THE COLORS AND THAT HE DRIVES IT 👍💯
I have a friend of mine that ordered a 66 Charger, 383, auto, white with a red interior. He is the only owner all these years later. He bought it from Subway motors in Nebr. I had a white one with red interior a few years later. He kept his and I wish I had kept mine! Great cars!
oo hoo yesss, love that stance, jacked up ,fat tires in back & raised white letters, straight outta the Hot Wheels race case to actual size , Awesome 🛞🏁🔥
I grew up in Decatur. That show has grown from the first one! The cut on dotted line Vega should still be going every year! Check it out next year. That car has been awesome for 30 years!
A friend of my older brother owned two of these in a row in the early seventies. The first was red with a black interior and a 318. The second was the opposite color combination, black with a red interior and a 383, both had automatics. The red one was slightly cleaner, but both were in nice condition. The black 383 Charger was the first really fast car that I was ever in, it left a lasting impression. He and his new wife had their first baby on the way, and the first energy crisis hit. They panicked (like many) and traded in the Charger for a 1966 Corvair at a local car lot. That lot was buried in clean muscle cars and luxury cars for a while that year. Fifty-one years ago, wow.
Holy cow. He must keep it in a vacuum chamber. :-) If I was a filmmaker, I would offer this man LOTS of money to use it in a movie. Magnificent. Many red cars there.
slept in the back of a red 66 or 67 at twin harbors state park near westport WA back in the early 70s. plenty of room for 2 with the back seats folded down. not many years later almost bought another red charger in Lacey Wa -near Olympia. but the tranny was toast-slipping etc. one of my favorite mopars still.
My younger kid brother, had a 66, kind of a gold color with white interior .... 383ci automatic. That thing was FAST. He was second owner, buying it in 1970 ... and became a street racer, here in Phoenix, and I don't know if he ever lost a race. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with epilepsy ... having a seizure while driving, and took out a concrete bus bench with that car. Two hours later the bench would have been filled and surrounded by high school kids going home from school ... no one there, just the bench, and about 10' of chain link fence.
The 6667 Dodge chargers if you're going to get into the charger movement is the way to go they're fairly cheap and to me they're a beautiful looking car when they're finished. Love the interior on the 66 and 67 the fastback roofline you can't go wrong
Love the car, but one thing i don't like is the fact that thing is riding so high, it's almost like it's on a 4X4 truck chassis. I understand that high-jackers was something you'd do in the day, but for this car it just looks odd. But apart from that, absolutely gorgeous car, my family owns a '69 Plymouth Roadrunner, so I have a deep love for these B body Mopars!
My friend is a mechanic at a Dodge dealership. He says no one working there owns a Chrysler product, with the exception of a gut that has a '64 Cuda. If Chrysler employess won't drive a Chrysler, I damn sure wont!!
Day 1 would look a MILLION times better!!!!! Correct 14’’ steel rims with original wheel covers and to top it all off, a set of new reproduction bias ply redline tires! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍💥💥💥
That's the nicest 66 67 Charger I've ever seen. Love the day 2 stance!
Absolutely beautiful car.
Just love the old Mopars. Beautiful ride.
One of my absolute favorite cars, I love it. 😎🇺🇸
I LOVE THAT CAR!!!!!
That paint is like a mirror. Best in Show quality
Nothing says Americana like muscle cars, and only MCCTV brings it every week. My go-to channel!
Actually not a lot of Muscle Cars presented by Dennis. Nice mix.
@@dukeallen432 True that!
Piece of art.
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a Mopar man but that body was the best of any manufacturer in the 60s
You know Dodge borrowed this (sarcasm) body style (rear window and back) from the 1965 AMC Marlin
Good find 'Stache!!
Sweet car!
Nice to see one that's not 6 inches off the ground
That's My New Favorite Car!
Thanks For Showcasing The, .....1967 Charger 440
I have a 1967 Dodge Charger too.
Jealous
This is by far my favorite Charger body style. I would rather have a 66-67 than any other
Hellzz yeah some Detroit Muscle on a Saturday morning, it just doesn't get more American than that....
LETS GOOO
except for the tires.....
@clc2328 yeeaahhhh I wasn't going to mention that hahaha Hahaha
One SWEET Charger! I always thought this was the most stylish muscle car of the era..very simple in design! Boss!
My favourite model for Dodge
Beautiful!
My favorite style of Charger! That is a beaut! 👍
Would love to see this sitting next to '67 Ford Torino. THAT would be a cool comparison video.

@@cobracharmer6178 I'd rather see a year-to-year comparison. But yes, it was a Torino fastback.
Maybe a Cyclone or a Talledega

Wow what a gorgeous and great looking car 💯💯👍👍
It's really a great design, i like how it sits up alittle higher. The rear view is so cool i could stare at this car for a while
Now, that's a beautiful Charger ❤
I don’t remember them that clean back in the day, absolutely stunning ride. This man spends a lot of time keeping this in excellent condition
🤗 THANKS FOR SHARING RICK’s 🥶 CHARGER, I REMEMBER WHEN THEY CAME OUT, I ❤LOVED FASTBACKS,HIDDEN HEADLIGHTS AND THE REAR TAILLIGHTS AND THE INTERIOR AND THE COLORS AND THAT HE DRIVES IT 👍💯
That would be my absolute dream car. The first gen body and interior along with the manual tranny are the way I would want it.
Beautiful car. Well done.
Great looking car
WOW ! I always loved the 66 67 Charger, but this is done with so much taste , amazing !
Stunning!!
Tough looking Charger, wheels, tires and stance make the car.
Brings back some great memories.
The Cragars are a nice touch
My parents bought one brand new in 66,red with white interior, 383,auto. Traded it in 68 for a new Charger 383,auto.
Your parents have great taste in Cars.
Watching from the State of Rhode Island-mm-yum, yum.
I was just thinking today i miss the old jacked up cars.....I had Hijackers on my 70 Dart.
Amazingly Beautiful Charger !!

I always liked the fastback chargers, I even like the 72 body style.
66 Charger ! Best looking Charger of them all !~!!!
I love how the rear is jacked up. Great old school stance
oo hoo yesss, love that stance, jacked up ,fat tires in back & raised white letters, straight outta the Hot Wheels race case to actual size , Awesome 🛞🏁🔥
They will never make them like they used to!
Just…BAD-ASS IN RED!!! 😎🔥🤟🏾🔥😆
Too bad you couldn’t show the instrument cluster lights after dark. The luminescent lighting is spectacular!
Not a MOPAR guy but that Charger is simply School Cool
IKr
MOPAR or no car!!
Wow what a beaut! They surely dont make car like this anymore.
In '73, my high school ride was a red '66. 318, Torqueflite, such a great car.
I grew up in Decatur. That show has grown from the first one! The cut on dotted line Vega should still be going every year! Check it out next year. That car has been awesome for 30 years!

I’d give a nut for that 67. Absolutely beautiful!
Really makes you wonder how the auto industry went so wrong. That Charger is beautiful.
Nice car I remember back in the days a good friend of us got one like it , but a 66 Charger and we ride whit him , very impressive car
What a beautiful car!
😢😢😢 I miss my 67
My 72 Charger has a 67 440 Magnum currently
Raised hot rods can blast down dirt roads. Hop a curb if need be.
Great stance, wheels and limited mods. Beautiful car.
Awesome! Like 383 A-bodys Chrome covers were standard!
Oh the memories!❤
Holy cow. He must keep it in a vacuum chamber. :-) If I was a filmmaker, I would offer this man LOTS of money to use it in a movie. Magnificent. Many red cars there.
looks like a jazzed up UK Ford Capri in a way
Ive never much cared for red cars but i wouldnt change a thing on that charger. Thats just badass.

Thanks, interesting peek, @Charger…In, my Brother’s 1968 Red Charger (Auto/383) is His “pride & joy”…ps; And same Stance, etc.
I'm not a fan of most Mopars, but the '66 and '67 Chargers were awesome cars! Also cool were the early Barracudas.
Awesome.

My dad had a 66 growing up and it was so Kool. Unfortunately a guy off his meds drove his truck into it and totaled it sitting in front of our house.
Sweetest! 😮
Awesome!
I'm in love
Beautiful 👍
SWEET !
America 🏁
all the ones i saw as a kid (70's,80's) had sequenced tail lights

High-jackers were the thing when that car came out. Ya kinda had to be there. ✌️
@@MyClassicCarTV it doesn't mean they were a good thing...
I’m not saying it was either good or bad. It’s just what was.
That fastback style was stolen from the 65 Rambler Marlon.
Check it out .
Steve Grayson won a few races in one of these.

Oh My... Where's my drool rag?
They made some nice lookin cars back then ... wow !
Is this in Illinois?
Yup. Springfield

Yeah, but that was the style back then. That’s what we did. I can relate.
Beautiful car - too bad the air cleaner is not correct for 67, but an easy correction to make.
Is it a 4 wheel drive?it’s so high
That was the style in 70s Hijackers
SITTING TOO HIGH , NEEDS ALITTLE LOWER STANCE , VERY NICE LOOKING RIDE
Wrong
I want won ❤❤❤❤
Perhaps an English class first? Lol
why is it jacked up? Is it 4 wheel drive?
That’s what we did back then. Just like nowadays we slam em. That will eventually go out of style too. That’s fashion for ya. 🤷♂️
Isn’t that a 66 Charger? I used to have one when in my teens, 440
First
My how civilisation has fallen.
Goes to the effort to put a "Mopar" battery under the hood yet slaps on a set of Korean tires.....this car deserves American tires
Meh Goodyears are overpriced junk....I would go with BFs or Coopers
Excellent, except the horrible tires.
Bingo.....Hankook....really? At least Douglas is American
Too bad this year charger did not turn into a collectable like the 68,69,70 year
4:42
Too bad the tailpipe tips are not correct.
Sits high enough to be 4wd 😂
