Soul Land 1 is the best bc the rest of Soul Land are about family politics which are not my favorite. He Tang san combined his daughter soul with a soul beast & it is a rank second as the important beast after its Dragon God (basically Tang San killed all Soul Beast future after SL2! - a beast! He forgot his mother & wife are from Soul Beast lineage).

(I guess we all agree that our Huo Yuhao is the best example for this.
His mother was a maid in the duke's mansion and even when she was her consort no one treated her well. Later she dies of the injuries given to her leaving her son all alone.
He wasn't very talented back then, born with 1 innate soul power, a martial soul for which rings were difficult to obtain......but he never complained......kept working hard.......no matter how much difficulties he had to face he used it as way to become stronger......he used all the negative thing to his favour and made it positive.......From NOTHING he became EVERYTHING but still remained kind and helping.
So you see heroes are not born THEY ARE MADE . Just think of yourself as the hero, the protagonist of your story....it Will definitely give you all the motivation you need.)

I always felt like this was a reference to Tang San. This song is afterall Huo Yuhao's character song. He was told of Tang San's history to godhood by his mum and this was his motivation to succeed and reach the same heights. In Douluo Dalu 2, Tang San is like the hidden background character. Yuhao takes his life experiences as a lesson that even the weakest (blue silver grass owner) can become the stongest (sea/Asura god)
If he can do it, why can't Yuhao. That's why, for Yuhao, Tang San is that figure in his heart that he looks up to and wants to follow. That's why he never gives up even though he is the weakest. It's because Tang San before him already proved that even with the weakest spirit essence, with hard work, one can become strong. So, Yuhao believes in that and strives hard too.
Yea that can definitely be another way of interpreting this line.
His mother did tell him about tang san's story and most of the children there grew up listening to that. But according to what I've read in the novel major part of his motivation to become stronger was to bring justice to her mother.
And since the line says 'Emerged from ordinary and calm' so it reminds me much more of yuhao than tang san. As tang san was very much talented from birth, even if his martial soul was bluesilver grass but atleast it was the king of that.

@@aleenas4381 To bring justice to his mother, he has to follow Tang San's footsteps. He didn't believe he could do it until he met skyworm who merged with him with the condition of making him a god. This has been his goal from the start. His father is a military official and a titled douluo and family is closely linked to the country. If he wants to bring justice to his mum, he needs power rivaling a country or above that. This is 2hy he wants to be a god so that he has power above everyone else and noone dares to stop him from seeking justice. At the beginning of the novel Yuhao wanted revenge more than justice and fot this too, he needs power.
I said this mainly because it is his character song so it gives insight into his beliefs. He hasn't become strong yet. He isn't a legend yet. So, this phrase is more about him looking up to the original Shrek 7 Monsters. It hints at the path he wants to take and will take.
The nice thing about douluo songs is that it always gives you hints about events without being too obvious about it. On SL 1 some of the songs/scenes hinted at Tang San becoming seagod.
Emerged from ordinary reminded me of Tang San more than Yuhao. Yuhao's spirit essence is his eyes which is better than blue silver grass. His first ring is a million year ring which gives him 2 sets of skills. His start off is higher than Tang San. Tang San until rank 50 had no choice but to heavily rely on Tang Sect techniques. Yuhao gets a lot of benefits through chance encounter while Tang San had to put more efforts into getting things. Yuhao keeps getting hidden buffs throughout the story. The reason he looks weak is because he doesn't want to reveal his skills necessarily.
Yuhao has fate on his side to ascend. Tang San goes against fate like the other characters of the authors novels. Not saying he doesn't work hard, but where Tang San started from scratch, he started with superpowers helping him (Shrek academy as number 1 academy, Tang Sect whose skills are still considered the best although the sect deteriorated.) compared to Yuhao, Tang San and Co had to create the Tang Sect from scratch and turn Shrek academy into what it is today. The fact they started from nothing and gained everything is the reason the wolrd looks up to them and thats why Yuhao is no different.
Well, that's just mu thoughts. I just wanted to explain why I came to this conclusion with that verse.

He believed that only after getting revenge he could bring justice. Now that's a different thing that later in the story his revengeful nature decreases little by little.
But I would prefer saying that his major motivation of becoming stronger came from his mother. Shrek 7 were just a little part of that. Like if 80% was his mother then 20% was tang san. And to defeat his father he never needed to become a God, cuz above 94 or 95 level also he could defeat him.
He wanted to become God as he promised his spirits that he Will take them to god realm so that they can be back in their original form and also to find reunite with tang wutong he wanted to become a God more quickly that's y he immediately went to challenge Di Tian as he had to defeat him which was a part of his test
