  • This Mental Health Awareness Day, we're reflecting on the mind-body connection, and the link between UTI and anxiety.
    We often hear from our community that this link works in both directions. UTIs understandably cause anxiety, and then anxiety can make UTI symptoms worse.
    There are a few things to consider here:
    ➡️ Stress and anxiety can weaken your immune system, making you more susceptible to infections like UTIs.
    ➡️ Anxiety can also more directly contribute to symptoms like bladder irritation, urgency, and pain.
    It can be a vicious cycle, and it's worth addressing anxiety alongside investigations into the root cause of bladder symptoms.
