Very nice MPV. I'm using the 2009 model, running at 2.0 tdci engine with 330.000 km's on it. Drives like new, want to keep it till 500.000 km : )

We've just got a used Jan-2018 Titanium X. Doesn't have the electric back row, has straps to pull that work very easily and the infotainment system is different, doesn't have the 3-pin mains socket, nor window blinds. The review model must be Titanium X plus additional extras. But we love it, done 2,000 miles, some in very hot weather M25 traffic jams, in 4 weeks with various all-adults passenger mixes and loads including clothes, bicycles, chickens, heavy duty tools. It suits our use almost perfectly

Thank you Mat for a typically excellent review of this beast of a car. Its a first class way to move 7 people in comfort, but they can't bring any luggage though.
yes we could when i was 7 years young my parents had this car because they have 4 children inclouding me (total 6)
we did go to skieeng resorts with this thing worked really well do have to note that 4 chidren dont take up much space so where we had legroom we put bags of clothing and stuff

Hope I'm not being stupid here, but are those head restraints in the back not awful low? Even if you could lift them up would they still not be too low to protect anyone?

+Grant Kidd Got a 2010 Galaxy and the restraints are set low when not in use to improve rear visibility. They do however extend considerably. I'm 6ft 4 and they're fine for me.

Very similar to the vw Sharan which has a deeper boot and provides a quality ride on highways with a 1.4L engine with a powerful enough A/c to cool a family of 7 members, giving around 40-50 mpg on motor ways Vs 33 mpg urban
Very good MVP, the only problem is the boots space, Seat Alhambra got more with the 7 seats up

Living in the Milky Way galaxy, driving a Ford Galaxy, texting on his Samsung Galaxy, transporting a Galaxy dishwasher.
I think you can move the back seats forward so you have more boot space that's enough for seven average adults and four or five average luggage in the boot

This interior looks very nice indeed. Too bad those who'd rather have a Mondeo aren't quite treated to the same level of sophistication. Oh, and material quality isn't up to scratch, on both models...

Only if you can, you should do a review of japanese grey-imports mpv such as toyota vellfire. They have loads of space in the back, complete with first class ottoman seats.

Seems like a ford edge with 7 seats and larger with the fusion grill u got a galaxy
You will notice ALL powered tailgates are slow, the reason is to stop you trapping your child in the door, or even yourself. Its all down to our compensation culture
THERE IS ALSO SPACE FOR THE DRIVERS NUTS!!! Weird. Anyway the galaxy is the best people carrier.The only MPV that could hold a candle to it is the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso.

Still No sliding doors the electric ones on VW sharan/seat Alhambra are a boon in tight British supermarket parking spaces
I have electric Alhambra doors and they are slow and annoying.

It's so you can still see out of the back window when there's nobody in the car you don't want loads of headrests blocking the view.

Good family car,though my favourite is still the dodge grand caravan
Today was the second time I had the opportunity to test drive this car. (150hp/ Manual Gear/ 18 inch wheels) Unfortunately as it stands today this vehicle is still miles away from the "pleasure" one can have driving a VW Sharan. The galaxy is quite noisy and quality appears poor. User interface is also (sync3) not the best .....
sliding doors is a great plus to the sharan too i have to say

These are very expensive and does not seem to have petrol engines alot. At least here in finland where diesel engine Costs you 700€ extra taxes/year it is a problem
