seth should just tell crim what hes playing so he knows what everyone else is going to copy
Agreed. Because everyone was running Seth’s Necro deck in this video and Crim was way too surprised for the wrong reasons.
@@matthiascronqvist13 "Everyone" *Only the first two games. Not to mention that the Necro deck was known before Seth played it and Crim would have recorded this before Seth's deck went up.
@matthiascronqvist13 except I watched Crim play this on stream nearly a week ago, before Seth posted the necro video
@@mcintyre0591 Also, Seth came accross almost the exact same Necro deck he then played while he played his burn deck in timeless
I remember when I used to work in a card shop, we watched Seth just to see what jank cards were about to spike in price, heh
"Stalactating Stalker" made me look back at my other screen
I would add one copy at minimum of Idyllic Tutor; seems really sensible and useful to fetch your essential lock pieces. Fatal Push is the likely subtraction in its place.
That last game... some players don't know when to quit.
I mean if the opponent had gone all in on mill, they would have had a chance, but after leyline of sanctity dropped, they should've conceded.
For a long time, I didn't even bother adding an Approach into my solemnity/exalted deck until one of my opponents played me for 5-6 hours before finally conceding. People really do underestimate the patience of people who play prison decks and think they can win the waiting game.
Overloaded cyclonic rift would win there, but didn't look like it was I'm the deck
At some point they just continued playing out of spite. That’s fine though, if someone wants to marinate in their own salt, go for it.
When playing prison decks both players are locked though.
"always have a backup plan"!
Timeless has the best mana of any format on the client, so maybe it'd be worthwhile to splash green for Sterling Grove. It's an excellent card for any enchantment shell and a straight upgrade to Greater Auramancy.
There are decks that make the opponent not able to play Magic. But this is next level, this deck allows the opponent to play all the magic they want, goldfishing forever. :D
I've been running variations of Unlife decks since it became available on mtga, absolutely one of my favorite cards
Unlife almost feels neccesary with how prevalant Sheoldred and "Fuck your Life directly." effects are. Only real way to not lose constantly.
13:40 I think the opponent scooped because they didn't bargain the beseech.
I would be disappointed if I played Crim and didn’t earn a crowd surf of the Karn
7:36 I'm sorry, STALACTATING Stalker?!
I wish that this video had at least triple the games. This was maybe the happiest I've ever seen Crim playing Magic.
He seemed a lot happier and more relaxed than normal. On the other hand, some people do seem to be here to watch him suffer.
Those slow, impotent attacks in the last game were great!
Solemnity causing Bowmasters to generate a 0/0 Army is so funny.
They never expect the self-poison
The fact that they wouldn't stop attacking and that Arena slows the damage down when it's being prevented is just icing on the cake here.
Yoooo that Gengar drip
Is there a mill yourself wincon like Thassa's Oracle or Labratory Maniac in Timeless? Maybe the last opponent could have gone for something like that.
This deck should definitely be running a couple of copies of Beseech to swap redundant enchantments for relevant stax pieces or the missing combo piece
Damn the gengar hoodie hit different!
Why is Crim so cute in the gengar hoodie D:
If they discarded a permanent with the thoughtseize it would trigger descend
What's worse than a stalker?
A stalactating one.
Crim time to get an Oddish hoodie since you got da Gengar!
Love the Barney onesie :) it is just what the TH-cam algorithm loves! /j
omg i love the costume so much
I got stomped by someone doing this exact thing. I’d never seen it before plus my only deck in timeless right now is mono black, is there any way to even beat this??! Any advice is appreciated.
Maybe blast zone
Your best bet in black is hand attack and hope they don’t have the Leyline of Sanctity. If they have that then just try to race. You could play enchantment removal like Feed the Swarm or Invoke Despair, but neither are that good in Timeless.
Overall my advice would be to hope to not face it, it’s a pretty bad matchup.
@@enmanuelrondon9700 that works. As does Ugin, the Spirit Dragon (and also Karn's Sylex but the coming into play tapped part means it will probably get blown up before you can use it).
@@poiri As bad as they feel in Timeless, you don't really have any other options as a black deck. If you're splashing green in your Necropotence deck, Tear Asunder is probably your best bet
And if you can splash blue, Filter Out is a 3-mana bounce all of their combo pieces. But otherwise, maybe Liliana of the Veil to hit their hand if they've got the Leyline?
Another day another request for skeleton tribal in historic(skelly swarming(
Tendrils of agony vs Phyrexian unlife just ends up gaining the opp a bunch of life
I saw this deck a lot during the free no ban list event. Hit them with the double petty theft while they were at 0 to win
I gotta say. I love the Gangar hoodie.
Best Timeless shenanigans 😂😂😂😂!
What's a Dodge Thoughtseize? Most be some sick car
Man that's one smart Gengar
one of these days i hope we get a video where crim and seth reccord at the same time and bump into eachother, same game in 2 videos.
The legendary double self thoughtsneeze, I could taste the salt from all the way over here
I wonder if this deck is worth the wildcards. Looks fun but not competitive.
nice fit
Since crim is just playing against seths deck, he should make decks to combat seths. And create a weird meta of people copying these decks, lol.
Ugin the spirit dragon would have been good
Barnie playing magic wasn’t on my 2024 bingo card.
You are so cute with your hoodie I can’t
It’s so disappointing how non unique so many decks are in timeless. I just wish people really took a risk and brewed a deck without spamming all of the op cards.
You've just described every format, not just Timeless.
Arena's economic model means all cards of the same rarity effectively cost the same. It encourages maximizing the value of wild cards by getting the best possible deck and just playing that.
@@funkydiscogod I find it even more disappointing in timeless though, the sheer number of cards you can play with makes the uniformity that much more sad.
@@Tinnituss i mean people aren't going to spend a rare wildcard on a war of the spark bulk rare when they could spend it on bowmasters or a fetchland if they're all essentially the same price. vintage and legacy are the same way; massive card pool, but only the best see play
@@fiercedeitylink2019 yes, but is that how it should be? It just makes it so much more boring when you try and play with a home brewed deck and it’s just “oh boy another red black bowmasters ragavan deck”
Arena players are so boring and unoriginal. All the decks are the same. Really hits home how special MTG was back in the day when you could only buy boosters from your local card shop and your friends would come over to show off the wacky new decks they threw together
so arena isnt kitchen table jank. this is true but u can still play the good old way if you just get some willing friends
@@alaraplatt8104 Yeah I still get together with the boys every now and then, but between jobs and kids, it's not as often as I would like.
i mean stores definitely sold singles all the way back in 1993
@@fiercedeitylink2019 Maybe your stores. the population of the town I grew up in was sub 3k so yeah, no dedicated nerd shops
@@nec4480 well yeah, but the majority of shops sold singles. your experience was not the norm, so don't try and pass it off as such
