Thank you so much! This particular Les Paul has the Peter Green out of phase mod in the pickups, and I have to say I was really happy with the tone I was able to dial in there 😁
What at 16:30 you introduce as the MAJOR pentatonic is in fact (I believe) position 3 of the MINOR pentatonic, isn't it? Thanks for an interesting lesson anyway ;-) Cheers, Hermann
Great spot Hermann! 😁 I did notice the mistake when putting the video together and put a little message in the top left of the video, but I think it might be too small to really catch the eye 😅 Thanks for the feedback and I hope you're getting on well with the B.B. King Box! 🙌
The box is actually a mix of notes from the major and minor pentatonic scales. Some of the notes are just found in the minor pentatonic, others in just the major pentatonic, and a number of the notes are shared and appear in both scales. The examples in this lesson are all in the key of G, but this is a moveable shape so the same would apply in the keys of A, E and D etc. I hope that helps! 🙌
Good lesson, if you want to learn to talk people into a stupor. Neil De Grasse Tyson explains the universe in less time. It’s a fucking pentatonic box, mate… just play it a couple of times. Thank you.
Never gets old -- B.B. will live on forever! Thanks for sharing and explaining it really clearly.
My pleasure - and I certainly do hope the main man B.B. does live on - such a legend! 😁
Jusr love that mellow sound….and a true blues vibe!
