As a T-Bird owner, I am so happy to see a video about it. I always got mad because people didnt show the appreciation for it but thank you for the history lesson and your thoughts!
Fellow t bird owner it's a great unique piece with a tremendous history. That's why I love it. It's just different enough to stand out amongst way to many of the same subs gmtsc etc. Watch people always give it a second look and it's a great conversation starter.
I actually dig the "new turn-o-graph", especially with blue dial and red seconds hand. It's a cool watch and doesn't come with the usual possible vintage-troubles. I don't see how this is any more weird than the old one.
Thank you for bringing this watch up - it's a fantastic looking that I never see any of the other watch channels talk about. The best thing about this watch is because of the deep text in the bezel, it gets that great gold-corrosion patina around the text and grooves, which makes it look amazing. The image that you chose in the beginning of the video is an excellent example of this!!!
interesting timing with this video. Only recently bought my Rolex grail - 1996 14010 Air King black dial - engine turned bezel (other Grail is the Omega Seamaster 300M Professional) and I can relate to this as I know the Air King isn't one of the more popular watches in their range and also think it is hugely undervalued. Took me a while to find it, but it was worth waiting to find the right one as it was in mint condition and picked it up for 4K AUD/2K sterling. I think this video coupled with your last one about waiting for the right watch/the watch you wanted is filled with great advice and insight. I'm a sucker for a blue dial as well (I got the Seamaster with the blue dial) - but after seeing one of the blue dial Rolex date just. I would say if you can get the blue one, it will be worth the wait as they are so striking. Thanks for all your content as it was so helpful with my Rolex purchase. Cheers and fingers crossed for your next purchase.
I know this is an old video and you might not see this but I just got a 16264 Turn-o-Graph steel w/white gold bezel and black dial. I have lusted after this watch for years and I can't stop smiling. I wish you luck in your hunt for a blue dial model.
Huge fan of turn o graph ("TOG"). Currently I have two, one of them is the same exact model as described in this video (from Theo & Harris) with cal 1570. The other one is the 'modern' TOG mid 2000s wit cal 3135, black dial with red date and second hand. Love your videos, man!
Ammar Gill I have two also: 16264 black / white gold / jubilee and 11624 / white dial / red markings / super jubilee.also Sub 5513 to round things out, love them all
Agree turnograph is a cool watch. I do however like the “newer” version that you opine as ugly. I can see why you like the “older/original” better but I like the newer version and I’m hoping it’s gonna be my first rolex
Another great video Adrian. I love listening to people talk so passionately about what they love. For me the grail watch is an Oyster 36mm ref 116000 with the blue explorer style dial. I would just go for a 36mm explorer but I can't deal with the mercedes hands.
Wow.... I just subscribed to your channel yesterday (and today from another pseudo) and what an eye opener on the horological history of the Sub Mariner... I've watch a few of your videos over the past several months and really enjoy your genuine appeal and passion for timepieces. Keep up the great work! Chris - Nashville, TN USA
Great video, thank you. I have a 2010 turnograph on a jubilee bracelet with blue dial that I find myself wearing as often as any other watch in my collection. Love the blue dial with a splash of red and the functional bezel. great looking watch in my opinion.
My dad gave me his 16264 TOG on a jubilee on my wedding day, such a great piece that to this day I have NEVER seen anyone else wearing and I love that. Will give this to my son on his wedding day... that means I need a replacement 😉
The 1625 has always been one of my favorites because the gold engine turned bezel and raised numbers have this lustrous gleam in the light, so great eye candy but at the same time very functional as a timer. I actually use it to time things such as for a parking meter or how long it take me to get from here or there, etc. These models are quite scarce but is THE most functional DJ ever made. I finally found one and restored it and I will not part with it!!! The bezel is not pressed down and turned but simply turns both directions via a tension spring inside a groove in the bezel. Unfortunately the crystal ring (part number 318-1625) is very difficult to find and Rolex doesn’t service this model so if you have one, treat the crystal carefully because you really don’t want to have to replace it! But don’t worry too much, there is an aftermarket replacement part identical to the original. Also, do not over polish the bezel because the bezel insert can separate from the outer ring! The dial is also unique as a standard 1601 pie pan DJ dial will not fit because the 1625 pie pan dial measures 27.5mm and the 1601/3 dials are actually slightly larger at closer to 28mm! That aside, this is one of my all time favorites and I would part with a standard DJ before I would part with a 1625!
To be honest, I never saw a turn-o-graph, but I'll say just looking at the images you have shown I prefer the look over a Datejust and I love the bezel compared to the fluted bezel. I would also agree with you about the blue dial and 2000's version not being pretty. Taking the beautiful original bezel and put the fluted element just ruins it to me. That could be due to me not being a fan of fluted bezels. Thank you for the education and I do like Teddy Baldassarre's videos and their informative nature. Thank you
I have a 116264 and I love it, white gold bezel, bidirectional bezel, anthracite dial with triple red with the date, seconds hand and turn o graph line. Something different in a sea of submariners. Along with the midsize case. You'll be hard pressed to find something as unique
That's a very nice piece you have there......I love the patina. I have an Everose gold and steel turn-o-graph from about 2006 or so and I really like it although it's kind of blingy. Yes, it's called the Thunderbird (which is a native American mythical bird) here in the U.S. due to the connection to the Air Force demonstration team by the same name. I think Rolex will bring it back at some point. The concept of Datejust with a bezel to time an event is a good idea. It seems like early on Rolex took the turn-o-graph in two directions: one became the Sub, and the other became a Datejust option. By the way, over at Jakes Rolex World, Jake has a picture of Apollo 11Command module pilot Michael Collins wearing an original turn-o-graph during his astronaut training.
Adrian, just watched your collaboration with Teddy. Great video between you both, and it flowed perfectly. Kept me fully engaged all the way through. I have to say, the three watches you recommended were spot on. I have tried on the Aqua Terra 38mm at an AD, and found it to suit me perfectly. The 8800 movement is simply phenomenal. Now I just need to save the funds for it. I saw the Blue Sinn 103 limited edition introduced at BaselWorld and lusted for it, but couldn't convince my better half about why I wanted it. Oh well! Ultimately, I hope you find your affordable grail Turn-O-Graph. You have definitely convinced us why it is a great, yet underrated vintage piece.
I recently sold my Thunderbird with a blue face and diamonds at the number markers. I regret selling it everyday. It had the two tone jubilee and was such a fantastic looking time piece.
I have a nice 1978 Rolex 1601 in two-tone with a jubilee bracelet and I know the 1625 is just a 1601 with a different bezel but I can't help myself.... I just love it. The 1625 two-tone will be the next Rolex in the collection. I also have a 16610 and a vintage 1803. So the 1625 will fit very well to my little collection of Rolex watches.
I just bought one last week two tone with the gold dial absolutely in mint condition mfg date 1978. It looks like someone bought it and put it in a safe for all these years I’m very pleased. Thanks for the video best to you
Another interesting video. Noted the T-O-G last year while doing watch research. The newer version's red second hand and date wheel are intriguing, although when paired w/a white gold fluted rotating bezel, it is a head-scratcher. Cheers to you Adrian for the Thunderbird reference, from the home of them here in Nevada. Have seen them perform at a Nellis AFB air show. They are amazing pilots. Great to know re collaboration across the pond w/Teddy, should be some quality content. Watch diplomacy....
This has always been at the back of my mind, but thanks to your video the interest has been renewed. Seems very versatile, the perfect mix of sports and dress. I always find the fluted bezel of the DJ somewhat an aesthetic thing only, with the 1625 the rotating bezel just adds so much functionality over the DJ.
Nice to discover the existence of this Rolex, the name is great, bring me straight to the 50’s with that adventure and discovery feeling... this is why I want to have a Rolex Explorer get a part of that gone period maybe?
There are some classics in watch collecting where you cant go wrong: GMT: 1675 Submariner: 5513 Daydate: 1803 Datejust: 1601 In my opinion these are the watches to get! Although I admire the turn o graph I think the Sub is a way better watch with a bezel. You own a Sub thats why I think a white gold fluted bezel on the 1601 would fit even better in your collection. Rock on!
I love the blue dial Turn-o-graph. I also love the 'value' proposition and history this watch offers. I can see why you love this watch. This should be your next watch. It is cool that you are doing a series with Teddy. I have to add that I had to stop the video to define what Marmite is and why this is a "marmite watch." Thank you for another great video :)
Lovely Adrian. I first seen the turn o graph when scanning eBay some years back. Pretty rare watch, I’ve never seen anyone wearing one and it looks great on the strap works perfect with the champagne dial 10/10!
Interesting take on the newer version. I actually think they're super cool-looking, especially the black version that has a vintage-inspired matte dial. Your argument about Rolex getting away from its T-Bird roots for this model could be made on every single sports model, Submariner, GMT, Daytona, etc .... ALL of the newer Rolexes are are now big and flashy. Nothing is a true tool watch anymore.
Yep, liked the final version quite a bit, especially in silver with the blue dial and oyster bracelet. Just something different. Wish they would do another one in the realm of the Oyster no date 39. Not everything has to be a steel sports model IMHO. One of my grails would be a mint two tone Zephyr.
Good video and interesting discussion Jack. The vintage Rolex's are still a great value.in 36mm if you can find them and Theo and Harris seem to get a few of these pieces and specialize in this area so they are a great place to check out. I recall they had the turnograph for sale on their website. I've also seen the Turnograph with silver or white dial and the bezel is also same color ,perhaps in aluminum or silver? Personally, I love the Datejust and last year purchased a Datejust 41 for my 23rd Wedding Anniversary. It's a solid piece, however, for me, the sweet spot is 40mm. or the 39mm Oyster Perpetual. But don't get me wrong, loving my new Datejust 41. If you keep looking for the Turnograph you want, it will eventually pop up when you least expect it. Best of luck and keep these great watch vids coming.
Thanks for the history on this Adrian. Great video. I’ve so much to say. Will condense my points... 1) like the concept of a rot. bezel on a DJ 2) not sure if it’ll change my view on a DJ 1601 - too much bling over the DJ? 3) Bought one grail recently, 45yo Omega Seamaster Big Blue 120. Want white gold bezel 1601 - understated. 4) man, TOG too expensive in the UK! 5) the recent ones, while ugly, may be more appreciated in the future if they were slow sellers? Look at the Daytona’s... 6) interested in your UK customs duties & VAT comments. Maybe worth a future video? Keep up the good work!
Hey Adrian (Mr. @Bark&Jack). I LOVE the look of the white dial and the red pop of date and second hand. With the perfect cherry on top Fluted Timer/GMT functionality, makes it super unique. Am I missing anything ? Will it go down in value as it's high 6k$ range right now. BTW I bought Explorer MK2 😆 thanks/blame goes to you
I'm that one weirdo that actually prefers the re-release fluted bezel over the original engine turned bezel. I wasn't a fan of the fluted bezel until I saw them in real life and how they catch lights. I still hate them in photos, but love them whenever I see them in person. I'll probably never own one as it is a little too blingy for me, but absolutely love seeing one on people.
I bought a 1984 Turn-O-Graph in steel with the gold bezel (Ref: 16253). It looks exactly like the one from Theo & Harris except that mine has a gold dial. I was also looking for the blue dial version but ended up getting this one. I'm still not sure whether I love it or hate it!
Finally someone's talking about the "vintage" Rolex Turn-o-graph! Gorgeous watch. It feels good to wear a model that nearly nobody else has. It is possible to find blue dials in the 16263 reference, blue-gold two-tone version (same colors as the American navy thunderbirds). I got one, I love it. I knew I had to pull the trigger very fast. I agree Rolex completely lost it with the modern version of the turn-o-graph...
BobGolob Totally agree. I have an old turnograph from 1966, gorgeous two-tone - steel with a warm gold bezel (like Christians photo). The dial is black. The black + gold plays very well with a matching vintage strap. Love it. I cannot understand why they are so little known. They are absolute gems. And the bezel is just so useful.
Great video. I own a 2002 Y series 16263. It is a very polarizing watch but I love it. I took it off the jubilee and am trying different olive and mud color straps. The 18 kt bezel is a bit of a beacon so trying to dress it down.
Yes, blue dials! You either love it or hate it. Some modern watches with blue dials have these amazing changing blue colors depending on the light hitting the dial. Nice video as always. Cheers
WatchBox has a killer turn-o-graph in 2-tone steel and yellow gold and a gorgeous blue dial for sale on their site right now. Looks to be late 90’s, probably with the 3135. Jump on it!
Lovely little watch & a worthy grail, good luck with the hunt. Nearly purchased one myself back in the day but went for a Datejust instead. Thankfully no regrets so I obviously made the right call.
The final version of the turnograph looks like a modern datejust with numbers on the fluted bezel. It’s a matter of taste. I hated it at first, but it’s sort of grown on me, because I found out that those versions have the “super”jubilee bracelet with solid end links and center links …. A huge improvement over the older bracelet, which stretches like crazy over time. I also like the red date and the red lettered Turnograph on the dial. so if you can get past the fluted bezel, the Japanese version which has green lettering, and a green date is the best one of them. Otherwise the older ones are much cooler I especially like stainless steel with white gold bezel, and Jubilee bracelet and blue dial. In addition the old two-tone bracelets with a yellow gold bezel and Jubilee bracelet and champagne dial. The pink gold version of this is also great with almost any dial that works with the pink gold. OK you can tell. I’m kind of obsessed about this particular model as well.
I agree with you. I plan on getting the 16264 turn o graph which is the model just after your featured one. It’s just a little more modern. The sub is just too heavy and chunky on my wrist and I like smaller watches also 36-38mm is my sweet spot.
Let’s not forget the Turn-O-Graph 6202 predated the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. Blancpain pretty clearly copied Rolex in both form and function in the development of that watch, it’s hard to argue otherwise. Sure, the Fifty Fathoms beat the Submariner to the market...by a few months. But clearly the Sub had already been in development at that point. More importantly- Rolex had developed every part of the modern dive watch for decades leading to the FF and the Sub. From the Oyster case to the rotating bezel, every single element was designed by Rolex. Blancpain lifted the whole design. The idea that the Fifty Fathoms inspired the Sub is laughably false.
Educational for me......had no idea it was a precursor to the submariner, I understand why you covet this......and blue dials are so on point at the mo.😀👍
That original Turn-O-Graph (the black dial) is nice. As for my Grail, lol, a Tudor Black Bay GMT with a flat sapphire, the Pelagos strap (all in stainless steel) and lumed markers on the bezel.
Love the Turnograph 1625 or 16250 (quickset). Very interesting reference indeed. In the version that you like (two-tone / blue dial), it's definitely veering more towards the dress watch than the tool watch. Also wondering if that particular version is not going to be too "loud" for the neighborhood of London you live in, considering your experience with the 5513. Maybe stick with a white gold bezel instead of TT? As for the "modern" 116264, one of my friends has it on oyster bracelet and black dial, and it's actually a really cool watch. I would have no problem wearing this, though I prefer the blue dial version.
i do like the turn o graph not the final version i would like the one blue dial white gold bezel not as big as a sub so fits my wrist a bit better love the channel
Shhhhh! Stop talking about it, I haven't saved for one yet and don't want them to get more expensive. lol. Loved your take on the watch and learning a bit of history on the turnograph. Super cool the stuff I learn from you, thanks for that.
Love the Turn-o-graph. If I were to buy a Rolex I would also get a 1625. And I also love the "dainty" lugs on vintage Rolexes. They were so much more graceful looking! Any new Rolex with an Oyster style case today looks like a clunky square watch with blocky shoulders. Why, Rolex, why?
It IS a cool and unique Rolex model. Grail watches for me? From Rolex, I'd really want a white dial 39 OP. I really like that watch, it is also. An underdog in the Rolex catalog, and it is perhaps the most perfect modern version to my father's vintage 6426 OP. From Omega, I'd love the 60th anniversary of the '57 Speedmaster. It is just cool "modern vintage" and my favorite version of the Speedmaster. Lastly, for the 3rd grail watch, I'd really want a cool and unique diver. So, I still have my heart set on a Triton Subphotique with Atlantic Blue Dial.. Although I believe there is an Matte olive green dial which looks pretty kick ass, as well. Sure, they are pricey for an ETA movement, but I really like the unique bullhead design and flat angles of the case. A very cool 1960's retro design. I feel if I had one, for some reason I should like t ok have that while driving a vintage Lotus Esprit.. Something like the one used in 007 "The Spy Who Loved Me" that can turn into a sub. I think the flat angles of the Esprit match the watch and they are roughly from. Same time period... Close enough.
Haha. I never believe people when they say they have 1 grail watch. I’m glad you were honest. I really like the ‘57 trio that omega launched. The Speedmaster is the best for sure. Get the Lotus Esprit. That would be awesome.
@@BarkandJack lol. Yes, if you're a true enthused watch collector there's almost no way that you can have just one Grail watch. And as such, it's also highly unlikely that you can only have a one watch collection. Haha, the Lotus perhaps in due time, one step at a time, the watches should come first. Have a good one, love your content, cheers.
Erm actually the first Rolex with a rotating bezel was the Zerographe from 1937, 15 years before the turnograph, admittedly the bezel is somewhat different in appearance
That’s kind of true, but the Zerographe wasn’t released to the public, so it was preproduction, which is why there’s very little knowledge about it, and it’s thought only 12 were made. I should have made that clear in the video.
Saw you with Teddy and enjoying your style and content. Just last week while at the Los Angeles Jewelry Zone, saw a clean 1625 (white dial) for $2.4k. I'm a DJ vintage fan, 16013 owner, but was unaware of the 1625. Just subed. Regards, JP
In 2021, all Rolex watches skyrocket. This rare model all the more will probably go even higher. Such an important model, Rolex should not kill it off.
I do like the Turnograph also, more so than almost any Datejust although I’m partial to some of the very understated early ones, especially no cyclops ones. That being said, after seeing your last video, I’ve made my mind up to go for a Omega FOIS and save the extra I was going to use for an Explorer 1 for a vintage Longines (or Omega) with small seconds.
Imma keep it real chief, this is the non diver’s, dressier, and pretty opposite of diving under version of the Submariner, I actually really like it, it’s the Seiko SKX of the luxury world.
Thunderbirds is the best show in the world. Maybe the crew wore the watch. With the exception of the 6202 | 1953 god of my waters, the Turn-O-Graph is not part of my grail but I get your vibe :)
As a T-Bird owner, I am so happy to see a video about it. I always got mad because people didnt show the appreciation for it but thank you for the history lesson and your thoughts!
Congrats on having an awesome watch. Thanks for watching.
Fellow t bird owner it's a great unique piece with a tremendous history. That's why I love it. It's just different enough to stand out amongst way to many of the same subs gmtsc etc. Watch people always give it a second look and it's a great conversation starter.
I absolutely love the newest version in white or black. In real life it’s superb
Close to a perfect Sunday: A cup of tea (already had too much coffee) and a new video from you about a really interesting watch. Thank you!
Thanks for watching Maximilian. You have an awesome name!
I actually dig the "new turn-o-graph", especially with blue dial and red seconds hand. It's a cool watch and doesn't come with the usual possible vintage-troubles. I don't see how this is any more weird than the old one.

I’ve never fancied this model, however I never knew the history. I’ll look at them in a different light now. Thanks for the insight. Great video.
Completely agree on the turn-o-graph. It's a very interesting piece that's got a cool story
theo and harris, teddy, bark and jack are the best watch channels on YT
Thanks buddy.
Soy
That blue with the patina gold and leather strap is an absolute amazing combo! 👍🏼
Nice to see that you finally caught up with this gem, Bravo!
I'm looking at the turn o graph from 2006. Grey slate dial oyster braclet. Lovely looking piece. I think they will be the next big thing to take off.
interesting timing with this video. Only recently bought my Rolex grail - 1996 14010 Air King black dial - engine turned bezel (other Grail is the Omega Seamaster 300M Professional) and I can relate to this as I know the Air King isn't one of the more popular watches in their range and also think it is hugely undervalued. Congrats. It’s such a cool watch!
I had no idea this watch even existed, thanks for the wonderful history lesson! You should definitely have picked that watch up!
The white dial st/steel version from mid 2000 actually looks decent!

Man, this Turno-Rolex would make way more sense in your collection than the Black Bay.
Another great video Adrian. I love listening to people talk so passionately about what they love. For me the grail watch is an Oyster 36mm ref 116000 with the blue explorer style dial. I would just go for a 36mm explorer but I can't deal with the mercedes hands.

Love the latest turnograph. It's like a datejust+ . Great bracelet, price is still not inflated.
Just got a 1959 Turn o Graph. Thanks for all the insight. I agree with all of your points.

Thanks buddy. Glad you liked it. 👍🏻
Bought a two tone with champagne dial and Roman numerals. My 5th Rolex in my collection.Love it.
Nice to discover the existence of this Rolex, the name is great, bring me straight to the 50’s with that adventure and discovery feeling... this is why I want to have a Rolex Explorer get a part of that gone period maybe?
There are some classics in watch collecting where you cant go wrong:
GMT: 1675
Submariner: 5513
Daydate: 1803
Datejust: 1601
In my opinion these are the watches to get! Although I admire the turn o graph I think the Sub is a way better watch with a bezel. You own a Sub thats why I think a white gold fluted bezel on the 1601 would fit even better in your collection. Rock on!
Great video I had no idea about that watch. I have to agree that blue dial is sweet. Excellent work.
Thanks buddy. Glad you like it.
Excellent video. Your channel is one of the best out there. Hold out for the blue dial. You know it will be worth. Cheers from the States.
Thanks Casey, I’m so glad you like the channel, especially as you’re in the States. 🍻
@@BarkandJack You're welcome, Adrian. Woke up, made coffee and watched your latest video. Nice start to a Sunday morning. Keep up the stellar work.
8:01 I actually really like that! Never knew about that reference before.
...It's worth noting that Tudor made a Turn-O-Graph, too.
I love the 1625. It is my favorite datejust model.
Thanks for the history on this Adrian. Great video. I’ve so much to say. Will condense my points...
1) like the concept of a rot. bezel on a DJ
2) not sure if it’ll change my view on a DJ 1601 - too much bling over the DJ?
3) Bought one grail recently, 45yo Omega Seamaster Big Blue 120. Want white gold bezel 1601 - understated.
4) man, TOG too expensive in the UK!
5) the recent ones, while ugly, may be more appreciated in the future if they were slow sellers? Look at the Daytona’s...
6) interested in your UK customs duties & VAT comments. Maybe worth a future video?
Keep up the good work!
That bezel is awesome and unique!!!
Nice episode!!!! Love that watcha and yes I have never seen one with blue dial
I’m with you on the thunder bird thing, when I hear thunder birds I think of the Gerry Anderson, thunder birds are go!
You really should try the 2000s turn-o-graph it looks great on the wrist but not so great as a pucture
I love the 1960's DJ Turn o Graph's.
I have a 1987 DJ TOG with the blue dial, I really like it.
Cheers
Not a fan of the newest one but love the middle gen with the large bezel numbers.
Really love your channel man
I agree with you.
I’ve fallen in love with the older 1625 blue dial! It’s gone straight to the top of my wish list. If you were I, where would you start your search?
Just bought one in excellent condition with box & papers, beautiful watch
i do like the turn o graph not the final version i would like the one blue dial white gold bezel not as big as a sub so fits my wrist a bit better love the channel
I have one with a blue dial, a true thing of beauty!
Adrian, you’re grail blue dial, two tone Turn-O-Graph just popped up on Touch Of Modern.
Shhhhh! Stop talking about it, I haven't saved for one yet and don't want them to get more expensive. lol. Loved your take on the watch and learning a bit of history on the turnograph. Super cool the stuff I learn from you, thanks for that.
Import tax on a watch from USA is 20%. I love the look of the newer version.
One of my favorite watches ever. Hard to find though.
Not aware of this watch so thanks for the heads up!
Very interesting video Adrian. I knew very little about the turnograph .
I love the grey dial version with the roulette date. The actor Tom Hardy wears one sometimes.
1953 Turn-o-graph - superb. My grail: 5513 Sub - relatively obtainable compared to MilSub.
5513s are crazy money, especially the milsubs.
I've ALWAYS liked the "Thunderbird" , but then again I like the oddball. BTW, Mike Collins (Apollo astronaut) worn one of these.
That watch reminded me of a Christopher ward limited edition trident diver... obviously not Rolex but after the recent discussions I'm very tempted.
Hi Jack, what is exactly is the import tax now for pre owned watches sent to the UK? Thanks!
I have a blue dial Milgauss if you're interested in looking at and reviewing it. I live in Kent, so not too far.
Rhodium T-Bird is awesome and very very hard to find. Good luck!
Wow... Super chuffed you like this watch, I've always liked this one more so than any other vintage rolex
I can’t wait for the collab with Teddy!
Great review. This watch is truly good looking!
Thunderbirds is the best show in the world. Maybe the crew wore the watch. With the exception of the 6202 | 1953 god of my waters, the Turn-O-Graph is not part of my grail but I get your vibe :)
