    And completing the praising for Adam, the huge amount of work he had to make this room just for us, so he can entertain us everyday with these videos. Very well done 👍🏻. I just can’t miss one. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹

    Test room and testing really taking shape. Another idea that I can throw out... What about using a 12 inch high plank and splitting the area into three "rooms" to see how the mapping will also be done, e.g. split the carpet area into "rooms" witth "doors" and maybe the rest too. That way you can also test navigation by making the dooways a little complicated and test the ability of the robot to find its way around after the map was created. It is difficult to describe exactly what I mean, but I think you will get the idea. Thanks for the hard work Adam!

      That’s a pretty good idea then I could get rid of most of the thresholds

    Those additions are nice idea, the newer robots with front camera's should see and avoid those obsticals.

    Please do a section of embedded sand in the carpet and weigh it first. That’s where Roombas shine.

    I’ve been hearing a lot about robot vacuums scratching engineered hardwood floors. I’ve seen a few people do a test over plexiglass and see if it’s scratched at all. I sure wish you would add that to your testing room. I’m still trying to decide what vacuum to buy but if I buy one and it scratches my brand new floors I will be devastated. So that’s a big huge factor for me I can’t be the only one.

    Awesome! Now we really can tell robot to robot what to expect. Add total time to complete the run battery life left and hair. The tassels rug might need to be free from the 2x4 it might be holding it down and keeping it from being pulled around last post the results on the final screens of the video debris pick up 6 oz cleaning time 20 mins battery 35% jelly beans picked up 4 avoid poop 💩 no drag 👟 yes black carpet cleaning 👍

  • @ricke95126
    @ricke95126 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Also, put debris around the chair legs and check to see if they clean around the legs. Are you mapping the rooms? It helps navigation robots remember where obstructions are and speed. Use the bot to be tested to clean during mapping run before Dyson clean up then test it?

  • @xeon2k8
    @xeon2k8 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Really nice that you are measuring the debris now, the "eye-balling" was nice but the more robots you are getting i think it will pay off in the future to have documented how much better did each one in a more precise manner.
    I would add that if you would have divisions between each type of floor you could do per-floor-type performance and measure how much the robot picked up on each floor type. Though i ack that implies modifying the testing floor plan.

    @adam Your test bed is the absolute best, You've put a lot of thought and time into it I can see you getting a lot of sponsors. Can we see some mops in action?

      Hi Adam your test bed is awesome 1 suggestion is if you could put in some removable 4 inch skirting boards with doorways in certain zones to simulate different rooms that way you can comment on navigation and map making?

    You forgot to subtract the weight of the paper plate and I would recommend using grams not ounces. The imperial system is a joke, most people in the US use the metric system when using a kitchen scale.

    • @AdamsReviews
      @AdamsReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are right. The bowl weight is .4oz so in reality the 981 picked up 6 oz of the 7.6oz of material. Thanks
