Cook top leveling strips…we use paint stirrers. Thin enough to stack if need be, lightweight and easy to replace if need be. Enjoyed seeing your great ideas! Thank you.
Hey Tim, great hacks, especially the affordable Leveling Blocks. The only problem is, burning anything (especially Pressure Treated Lumber) on a Construction site is illegal anymore...at least it is in Wa. State. It all goes into a Recycle dumpster now. My suggestion would be to check the Big Box Stores, they usually have a cart full of "Boat Lumber" {twisted beyond usefulness} at a greatly discounted price.
I love the velcro stool holder. What do you use to bring your step stool in the van from inside? I am currently using a wooden back scratcher in my minivan. Thanks, Iris and Little One 👋🐾
That's a good idea, we'll give that a try with our wooden back scratcher! Usually, we just put it back in the van from outside and then get in one of the front doors when we're driving away. Thanks for the comment!
Nice hacks! We are in the process of building our van. I’ve watched a lot of videos on how to do stuff but I’ve never seen one that talks about storing items so don’t rattle and drive you crazy as you’re cruising down the road.
I store my little folding stool between my drivers seat and the E-Brake. Its a perfect spot for it where it's skinny enough to slide in and out without putting pressure on the e-break, but tight enough were it doesnt go anywhere while driving! Also, great video! love the hook idea. I still need to finish out my back doors and now im trying to figure out how to incorporate this idea lol!
That's a good idea for where to stow that thing. It wouldn't work for us because our seats swivel and it would get in the way of that, but hey whatever works, huh? Thanks for your comment and good luck finishing out the back of your rig!
Useful tips, but a few of them are misleading, or there’s simply a better way. The torpedo level could be replaced with a cross level, or a ball level . Then you don’t have to manually spin it around etc while you’re trying to park. You should NOT drink water out of random fountains! Water filters do not remove chemicals. If the fountain is over chlorinated (which it likely is) then you’re getting a gut full of toxic chemicals. It’s also unknown if the water is extremely acidic from inexperienced pool guys or fountain maintenance techs adjusting the PH. If you’re pregnant, and the PH is extremely acidic it could harm your unborn child.
I love your tips my friend, but that slamming noise is a little too shocking! I have a hearing issue and dang, if I want to hear your voice, I jump out of my skin every time that *_SLAM!_* happens! Could you adjust it please - that would be greatly appreciated!
Oh I am so sorry! I will certainly adjust that down in the future. Too late on this one as it’s already published but I will definitely keep that in mind from here on out. Thank you for letting me know!!!
@@goldeneddie Believe it or not, audio (not video) is one of the more challenging things to get right when making videos like this. (and I'm learning that audio levels should never be edited with headphones on - they're way too forgiving and don't let you dial in acceptable levels) So I don't use headphones for the final edit any more. But I really appreciate your feedback so I can make adjustments, rather than having you just click thumbs down and leaving. This way I can improve which is good for both of us. Thank you again! 🥰
@@TimAndShannonLTD Well, I was a little hesitant, because I didn't want to offend, but I was pretty sure you'd have a healthy response to some genuine feedback - and you proved my positive expectations right! I have noticed the issue on other videos when it comes to 'equalising' the volume, so I appreciate your technical efforts as well as your great content. I love seeing people applying their minds. Some clever solutions.
Thanks - so good to hear that and glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate your comment! 😀

Hi Ken! Ok good to know (yeah I guess it’s been a while since I’ve seen a burning scrap pile). Thanks for the alternate suggestion!
THANK you for sharing your creative ideas ! And enjoy the blessings of having a brother who is also creative.
Thank you! 😊
Getting ready to start van life, glad these videos are here so I don't feel so uneasy. thnx
Thanks for the feedback and good luck with your new adventure - You got this! 👍
I am going to use your back window hook idea for the dog harnesses!
Glad to hear it!
I would put isolation there and hooks on that. I live in Sweden and it’s cold, but it isolate from heat to. Great video, thanks!

Great ideas! I just subscribed. Thank you!
Welcome - Thanks for the Sub and glad you enjoyed this!
Just an idea for the step. You could install a truck step on the side of the van. Then you wouldn’t need that folding step stool. 12:23
Yep, that would work too! Thanks -
Can’t wait to check our sprinter doors for that hidden compartment! I’ve seen it but never opened it, fun! These were great tips. Thanks for sharing
So glad this was helpful to you - thanks for letting us know!
We had running boards installed on our sprinter van. They are great!
Cool!
Paint stirrers come to Mind for stove leveling!
Great idea, thanks for sharing!
Most people add a long cord to their footstool to pull it in after they have entered

We use a folding windscreen for the stove to level our stove.
Cool! Yeah probably lots of different things could work, huh?
@@TimAndShannonLTD dual use!

Thanks!!
Very nice hacks. Have you found a 2-step stool? I’m old with old knees!
Hmmmm, hasn’t been on our radar but I’ll bet you could find one on Amazon.
I bought a horse mounting 2 step stool. Saw it on Cheap RV Living, Bob Wells had one for his Ambulance Van. Works great! Amazon.
Missed opportunity….. put a hole in each of those over door braces and add S hooks… another two hooks to store things.
Yeah good idea - didn't think of that!
I’d put something over the clothes that are hanging on the back door. Just a garbage bag will do to protect the clothes on the back door.
Good idea - that stuff gets wet sometimes. Thanks for the tip!
Just get paint sticks for leveling.
Yep - those would work as well!
Its the little things
Yes it is! 👍
How reliable ar 2017 sprinter vans ?
I don't really know Tony, ours is a 2018 and it's been super reliable. I assume the same is probably true for the 2017.

Thank you for your input on this!
You cld also have mounted the hooks upside down to utilize the two huge flat hooks on either end.
Great ideas!
😃🎉👍🏼
Great idea! Never thought of that. Just might have to try it! 👍
