    Thanks for the very interesting video. It's nice to hear opinions from the perspective of street photography as that's an area quite unfamiliar to me (mostly into city & land-scapes), but certainly many of the places you mentioned can satisfy both appetites! From your list, I've shot in Vienna, Budapest & Bratislava and loved all 3. Completely agree with other's comments that Bratislava is somewhat of an overlooked gem. I stayed 2 nights there between Prague & Vienna about 8 years ago and was so glad I did (several travel "experts" recommended skipping it but glad i ignored their advice lol). Easily walkable and a large number of very interesting things to shoot for such a small city!
    I would say my top 2 all-time cities for photography are Prague & Stockholm. I love shooting around water so Stockholm is really a no-brainer for that. Prague also has the river running through it's center, which makes for some great city-water scapes, but also have a ton of great opportunities away from the water. There's just something magical about that place!

    Great video! Have you ever thought about making a “what film gear to pack for travel” video? Would be interesting to see what film/cameras you’d bring

    Hey if you like the cold add Canada to your travel list!! :) Would def be interested in hearing more about your experiences travelling alone as a woman. I had friends move to Edinburgh and I want to visit SO BAD! Hopefully soon. Thanks for the video!

      No problem, and for sure! I'm actually thinking about making a separate account or maybe even a tik tok account, to talk about travel including my experiences as a woman 😁

    What a list! I'm a sucker for Lisbon, but all the rest are ok too, haha. Subscribed :)

    And also in Olso there’s the more modern sculpture at Ekebergparken - amazing collection in a landscape that really complements the work. I’ve only been to Scandinavia in the summer, on my bucket list is to go back in the winter. Loved the photo tour Madison - haven’t been to all those places but I have a special memory of Barcelona - we got our plane tickets pickpocketed and had to stay a bit longer :) . And while we were there I realized, lying on our hotel bed, reading “Homage to Catalonia” that the tower out the window was the one George Orwell was being shot at from. And also also - I think the first and only time I used Ektachrome 160T was in the La Boqueria market; some of my best photos. Did I mention the James Brown concert? Such a cool place.

      Wow that's an incredible roller coaster of a trip to Barcelona! I can't wait to return, and I had no idea about that tower!

    Such an interesting selection!! I'm from Paris and I live in Amsterdam, so even though I'm probably biased I'd definitely add these to the list haha, just because I think they both offer beautiful places and atmospheres to capture! Also love the feeling of Glasgow and its very diverse architecture for photography. But I think putting London as #1 definitely makes sense.

      Awesome, I will add those to my list! My friends just moved to Glasgow, cant wait to visit 😁

    Great video! Bratislava is definitely a way underrated spot. Cool to see it on your list! Berlin and Moscow definitely good places for film photography as well. Berlin his endless subjects and a great film community, while Moscow has even more subjects plus cheap Soviet cameras to buy😉

      For sure I want to return to Berlin, I haven't been since I was a kid and I wasn't into photography at that point (and couldn't experience the night life)

    Fun stuff, thanks for this informative video. I had never seen that photo in Bratislava. I've been to four on your list, London, Edinburgh, Vienna, Oslo. You didn't mention the Vigeland sculpture park in Oslo, it's quite impressive! I know Stockholm better, a very photogenic city built on lots of little connected islands, and has its own great sculpture park, Millesgarden. The northern cities have all those copper-topped, verdigris roofs that are fun to shoot. Even after COVID I don't expect to travel much, unless they can improve the really nastly climate change impact of jets. Keep up the channel, cheers from Montreal!

    I am so ready to get back to Europe. March of 2020 I was in London and lucky enough to be part of a photo workshop. It was wonderful and I fell in love with Shoredich where I was staying. Hopefully in August I'll be visiting either Germany or Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

    I loved my time in Europe back in 2015 for the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. My favourite locations to photograph in Europe included: Arras and Vimy in France, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Arnhem in the Netherlands. Antwerp and Bruges in Belgium. And of course the Waterloo battlefield (plus it was fun to be out in the field with a musket as part of the battle demonstrations).

      I love Arras too! Went there at the beginning of 2020! And some other very good recommendations, really want to visit Rotterdam and Antwerp!

    Delta 3200 looks stunning! Did you let it go through the xray or did you ask them to hand inspect?

    • @MadisonBPhotography
      @MadisonBPhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It went through the x Ray! But this was a few years ago, I think the scanners have changed since 🤔

    I live in Helsinki (Finland) and I highly recommend coming to the nordics in summer. As in winter there’s less daylight, in summer there’s sunlight from 5am to 11pm, so no need for black and white 3200.

    Really relieved not seeing Paris in the list. 😅
    Been a Londoner as well. This city made me pick up a camera again after I didn’t shoot anything for a few years. Loved the area where I lived: Isle of dogs and Greenwich and going from one to the other with the tunnel under the Thames. Loved taking boats to go into town as well. Best way to get to know the city and get a different view of it. Best years of my life were spent in London (can’t say the same about Paris).

    Unfortunately, I haven't traveled that much myself, but Weimar and Hamburg in Germany, Vienna, London, Florence (super touristy) and Copenhagen are places I have enjoyed taking photos. I'd also love to visit Amsterdam, Berlin and Dublin. But, first up is another one day trip to Copenhagen and after that probably Aarhus (in Denmark) as it is only a train ride away.

    • @MadisonBPhotography
      @MadisonBPhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love Copenhagen and would love to go back, if I do i'll visit Aarhus!

    • @NPJensen
      @NPJensen 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MadisonBPhotography Aarhus is a bit far away from Copenhagen in Danish terms anyway. It's about a 3 hours train ride from Copenhagen to Aarhus. I just happen to live in the middle between those two cities. I'd suggest Aarhus could be worth a trip of it's own some day.

    Berlin is also a nice place to walk around with a camera. And you have Fotoimpex there.
    Whenever traveling is possible again, I'll probably drive to Duisburg. A dirty industry city most known for the biggest brothel in Europe. The main station looks like it's about to collapse.
    It has a wonderful park (Landschaftspark Duisburg) on the place of the former blast fornace complex and also an old harbor on the place where the Rhine and Ruhr river come together.
    Another, small nice city is Vilnius.
    And I am glad Amsterdam is not in this list.

      Thank you! I went to Berlin when I was a child but can't remember it. I've heard great things!
