Well, Espio did get the impression Silver was a decent person by the way he treated chao. Plus, all members of the Chaotix Detective Agency have good instincts, even if Vector is the one that consistently comes to the right conclusion.

Do Nathan yeah, i honestly agree with this. and that’s saying a lot since silver is my favorite character. he’s kinda an asshole to everyone and always picks a fight with anyone who gets in his way. i much prefer him in the IDW comics. his personality there is amazing, and he actually has relevance to the plot.
I honestly found it kind of amusing and boss of him, lol. It shows he's got a real backbone in these older games, and won't take people's crap unless it directly questions his own beliefs. Like.. he doesn't even give Sonic, Shadow, or Espio the time of day for most of the game unless they either antagonized him, or agreed to help him (which makes sense since he doesn't need any silly distractions when he's on his world saving missions.. unless he's in the IDW comics of course 😜).

I remember that Silver's story is the hardest for us to finish because of that Capture the Chao
I hate it that Silver called Tails "Half-Pint" and took rings from him, and didn't even apologise afterwards. I mean, Tails is just 8 and Silver's 14.
Always thought that was pretty cruel.
To be fair, being polite and patient with people you don't really know or give a shit about isn't gonna be as big of a priority when you're on a desperate time crunch trying to save the world. During that section in particular, Silver emphasizes how this battle is a "race against time", and only after that does he steal Tails' rings without remorse.
Honestly, Silver's always been like that in the older games. He doesn't care about the grey morality of his actions because, as someone molded by tragedy and always relying on himself, Silver will do anything if be feels the ends justify the means. It's just a shame that aspect of his character is lost in modern media.

Silver was such a d*ck in the Sonic Rivals games, but over time he became a cinnamon roll!
The fact that some within the fandom ship Blaze with him even after he pulls this stunt makes her come off as a pathetic enabler with no backbone. That's a good lesson, be a rude, arrogant monster, and steal from a defenseless kid who did nothing wrong to deserve it, that is boyfriend material! X(
No offense to anyone who likes Silver, but I just don't like him anymore. I tried to be neutral, but all that is gone, mostly thanks to Sonic93 and those weird crazy Silvaze shippers. I can't believe she would defend these actions by Silver, and I feel so dirty how she roped me into the drama and made me cover this, knowing all too well that Tails is my favourite Sonic character next to Blaze, who she takes pleasure bashing on. T_T
I see a lot of coments talking about Silver stoling the Tails's rings, but actually was Espio who sugest that and Silver was getting off of power. He was no the only responsable i guees, and was not a bad excuse for me jajaja.

It’s so funny how strangely aggressive the characters in order to make them fight each other
Also I found some weird glitches in this game when I first got it. I found out that if you knock someone out in a certain way with sonic,rouge or espio they will T-pose and do a full flip with only their heads. This only works in knock out stages and it also works when you knock them out

@@NeoTechnoman Yeah. Still, stealing from an eight-year-old kid made him come across like an asshole. Especially when that eight-year-old is one of the few characters in the game who wasn't acting like an asshole.
I know having these characters compete was the point of the game, but couldn't they have come up with better motivations?

So that's why people hated Silver. Because of the Sonic Rivals games! I think they made him like this to be a rival to Sonic. I guess this is the time they figured out what to do with him? I don't think it fits his character at all. This is more like, current day Shadow.
It's a post 06 game, also Shadow and Silver are the main reason why Neggman ended up in Blaze's dimension.
No? People initially didn't like Silver because he debuted in 06, and his "annoying voice." If you were in the fandom in the 2000's, you'd understand how much that DOMINATED the discourse around him.

Not going to lie I love playing sonic rivals 2 on the psp
The problem I had with is games was that I only really liked Team Shadow, because other teams had one member I didn’t like. Tails for Team Sonic, Rouge for Team Knuckles and Espio for Team Silver.
Team Shadow instead had both very cool characters.

That’s because your opponent got the Chao first before you did.

Honestly, I didn't understand why the developers of this game. I understand Silver needed the rings to save the world, but stealing the rings from an 8-year-old fox? The hedgehog is 6 years older than Tails, here he was made rude to Tails, but in fact he is cute, especially when talking to Chao and in comics his character is perfect😢❤
I understand, of course Silver doesn't know Tails at all, but stealing from a character who is much younger than you? It's a pity the developers didn't come up with a compromise and made Silver not socially capable here
