However, when it comes to invading each other's countries, then the invading country will most likely lose because invasion is often a lot harder than defending the country, and the invader will often suffer massive losses and in case of both US and China, even if they manage to conquer a portion of each other's country, the gain is only small, the question is can they hold the new annexed/conquered territory for a long time? Besides, China only has regional influence, that's it.
Actually, you can convert civilian ships into merchant marine vessels and support ships. Although they are not Military, they would certainly help the cause.

I wouldn't count on helicopters at the Himalayan platue. Thats very high elevation and the US had issues in Afghanistan with the air being too thin for them. The mountains in Afghanistan are high up but the Himalayas are the Himalayas.

When comparing navy sizes via numbers, china is the winner, i think a more accurate comparison is via weight and turns out that actually exists and the US navy wins massively. Over 5 million metric tons i believe.

For example, China now has two operational aircraft cariers, and Russia's is non functional. Their are a number of issues with having large numbers of soldiers is you have to feed and supply/transportation and organisation,you cannot move these numbers long distances,plus these numbers won’t have or have very little training.

I wouldn't count on helicopters at the Himalayan platue. Thats very high elevation and the US had issues in Afghanistan with the air being too thin for them. The mountains in Afghanistan are high up but the Himalayas are the Himalayas.
