I know, right! I'm basically useless when it comes to the back of my head so I do what I can, lather it on, and hope for the best! Thank you! I'm considering doing this color maybe sometime down the road. For the last two years, my hair has been blonde/pastel colors, so we shall see :)

Wow! What a lovely red! Arctic fox always washes out off my hair. So i just use "Splat" Crimson obsession. It stains like crazy but it lasts so long!! :D

It's so tough, because Arctic Fox works so well for me, but I do know it doesn't work for everyone. I really do like mixing these two colors together! Splat is one brand I've not yet tried!! Meow back at ya
I think because everyone's hair is different, you really do need to try things yourself! Plus at least with brands like these they wont wreck your hair ^_^
You are absolutely right. I'm always preaching that haha! I cannot tell you how many times where people came on a video of a product I raved about and slammed my opinion of it. Experimenting and trying things out is the only way you'll ever truly get the full effect. And I love that I can dye my hair with these colors a gazillion times or leave it on forever and it still stays healthy :)

Okay, I was purposely searching for videos with this exact title last week because I wanted to dye my blue hair red and NOW youtube recommends this to me? AH ffs
Anyway, I ended up dying it brown as a base and then put manic panic's vampire red over it (cuz I heard it's pretty dark and stains like hell), worked out perfectly xD
I read that your hair would turn a yuk brown, thanks for sharing this video turned out great, my hair is pastel green (so pastel it's almost back to platinum as is bleached underneath - that was done by a hair dresser) and yea i really want to go red next. cheers xxxox
I was TERRIFIED that my hair would do the same, just because green cancels red and vice versa! Yes, you should have no problem at all if your color is that faded. My advice would be to make sure you leave the color on for as long as you can and it'll turn out very pigmented. Thanks for watching :)

As a prof 40 years nice job green has faded a lot but remember if it was a dark green u would want to lightly or a color remover first
I needed this so bad! The green tint will not go away and I'm not trying to fry my hair by bleaching it AGAIN. Bleached once and then bleach bath. And I got poison! So hopefully it will cover this green tint without making it muddy!

@Nadine Cheri it turned out so much better than expected! I used arctic fox Poison and their orange for my bangs. Shocks it covered the Green tint so well! It's giving early Hailey Williams vibes lol

Okay so my hair is currently a very muddy green/brown colour and it’s a lil bit patchy, do you think me slapping on red dye straight on top would work? Thanks!
@@Scribblemma_ it definitely did for me, but maybe I would try it on a section of your hair that’s underneath to see how the color takes to your hair. But if you saturate your whole head, and give it plenty of time to process, you should have no issues 🤗

Ok i just washed it out and it came out brown!! I thought it might because the blue was sooo dark, it canceled out any orange tones completely. A bit of hair where it was a brighter blue it came out red! Dammit!

Hi there! My hair is currently a faded green (arctic fox green-I forgot the exact shade name) on top and brown on the undersides. Do you think putting arctic fox’s wrath on top will turn my hair similar to yours? Or would you recommend the poison shade instead?
Kaitlin Morris it might not turn out quite like this, but I think you’ll get like a pretty burgundy color since wrath leans more pink than red. So I don’t think you can go wrong there. Then again, I did mix in like purple when I did this and it was a nice rich red. You could always do a test patch and see what you get. It’s so hard because everyone’s hair holds color differently! I hope this helps a bit ☺️
If you or anyone sees this, I dyed my hair blue a month ago and now its a little darker green than her hair in the video and i bought a medium Auburn ?? Will that work ?
shy nee the red tones in the auburn should do a decent job counteracting the green. I’m not a pro, so I don’t know all the science behind it, but if anything it’ll more than likely become a brown color if not 100% Auburn 🙂

What was the ratio of black and red you used?
Jennifer Flannery honestly, I’m very cautious when adding black. I literally put like a dot of it in the mixture. Most of it was the red dye.
How did it look after it started to fade? Still red or funky brown?
I had to dive deep and try to find photos since this was five years ago, but it looks like the color held pretty nicely for a couple months and eventually faded to more of an auburn color. I believe I colored it purpled around the two month mark so I can’t speak to how it fully faded out. But the red lasted quite a long time. It wasn’t as fiery and vibrant towards the end, but still red ☺️

I used mostly Arctic Fox Poison plus small amounts of Violet Dream and Transylvania. As well as IroIro Black and Violet.

@@tonyabishop31 I just really wanted to see how the two brands blended and colored the hair. It’s honestly not necessary though! I’d say mixing the red with either the black or violet would do the trick. 🙂

Okeee so you did this over your medium blonde hair!? Im dying my hair red with permanent dyes for a few months now but i have to do my whole head all the time and i feel like im damaging my hair... my roots are kind off the same blonde as you.. the semi permanents normally dont cover my roots but maybe the iro iro will??
lasemidesnatada yes it should definitely cover! My virgin hair always took the color so well especially doing the red and darker/jewel tone shades. I’d say give it a go 😌

More than likely it would! However, it would depend on the current shade of your hair. If you have hair color similar to mine in this video or darker in general, it would be pretty close. If it's lighter, the red would just be more saturated and brighter. So instead of a scarlet red, you'd get like fire engine red.

Katy Pylant I feel your pain, girl!!Honestly the red faded out beautifully. Like I would have let it go but my roots were horrendous and I didn't have much red hair dye so right now it's purple. Any color opposite of green will counteract it. So I say the red and a bit of pink should do the trick! ☺️

It worked perfectly!! I used like 75% pink, 25% red. It covered every green part and came out really even! Nadine's video seriously saved my hair lol. Except now of course I miss my teal hair..

Since red is the opposite of green on the color wheel, any hair color with a reddish undertone should do the trick 🙂
got artix fox for the frist time. have been useing ion for a few years now. came across AF. whike wondering the mall so decided to try it. sitting outside atm watching your videos because my hair is currently that mossy green. i have violet dream and poison waiting for me to use them. kind of nervous. lol but my hair reacta like youra normaly. ombres it itself. but thats been with ion..god i hope this works. haha

Ahhh fingers crossed!! I’m sure it will turn out beautifully! Just pretend it’s a science experiment and have an open mind. That’s normally what I do because my hair is so freaking weird. If there is still pretty much pigment left, I wouldn't try it, but if it has faded out quite a bit, it should cancel the green tones!

Ugh, that is so frustrating! I've had people tell me horror stories with splat, but others said it worked okay. I feel like green sticks the most out of any color. You might need to try lifting the color just maybe at a very low volume to get some of the color out. If you haven't used actual red dye on it yet, just give it a go, it might actually neutralize it to a brownish color! I hope the color comes out soon for you! :)
@@NadineCheri I've used splat for many many years. I love the product and wouldn't be upset if I still wanted the green. It's weird... I've used a different green from them and it came out easily. The midnight colors are a pain. My plan at this point is to let my hair chill for a couple weeks until the red midnight color shows up. Figure I'll try fighting fire with fire 😅
