BetaFPV has just released upgraded 550mah batteries that are compatible with the Cetus X, looking forward to getting mine and seeing how it affects performance and flight time. Setting up multiple Rate Profiles and putting them on a switch makes flying indoors SOO much easier. I have re-purposed the right 3 way switch as POS1 100% Scale Throttle, POS2 50% Scale Throttle, and POS3 is DSHOT Beeper. The right push button is now my Turtle Mode. 50% throttle still gives enough power to zip around the house while not being insanely twitchy. Also - I designed a small 'wedge' to keep the FPV camera at 0 degrees, even when bumped - it can be found on Thingiverse, and works well.
550 mAh has diff dumensions. Do you use it? Does it really compatible?
About "wedge", I believe, would be better to have it from material able to absorb hits.
@@user-ey2sw8wx7e yes it fits
@@user-ey2sw8wx7e print from tpu if you want it flexible. I break them often, it's small enough it will break before anything else will. I print them six at a time but haven't tried TPU yet but not a bad idea
Have been trying to figure out rates but fairly new to all o this. Could you make a vid explaining how you setup you rates and profiles? Also how’s the 550?
The range test between all the different upgrades and stock was definitely very useful, and all the POV's at once was great. Thanks!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this kit!
Fantastic video! You answered the questions i had - and more i didn't even know to ask
When I first got my Cetus X I decided for some reason to test fly it inside as a beginner pilot but ended up crashing it into a wall then it fell about 10 feet onto wood floor. The lens housing broke off the sensor but I superglued it back on and after making adjustments so the camera was focused it worked good as new and I’ve crashed it a few times (outside) since then and the superglue hasn’t come loose and no additional damage. It’s a durable little toy and a lot of fun.
Tons of fun. These kits are the easiest and fastest ways to get into fpv
It's helpful, thank you
Glad it helped!
When will the Cetus FC with altitude hold be back in stock? Can the controller be made as good as the ELRS version with a nano module installed?
So if this is beginner FPV level one, can you make a level two video?
Thx so much
Thanks for watching, let us know if you have any questions!
Really good comparison. I honestly can't understand why they decided to ship version 2 with Frsky instead of ELRS. It could be that they can not otherwise get rid of the stuff that has already been produced, but there could also be technical or know-how reasons why they choosed Frsky for their custom FC OS version... But I definitely have to agree version 1 is still my recommendation, unless you are really flying a drone for the very first time and have really never had a toy drone or remote-controlled car or plane. Than version 2 is better. Not better for the future but better for a succesful start. The advantage of version 2 is the altitude and position hold, which is a big advantage for easy entry without simulator pre-training...
Yeah we should just move to ELRS it's always getting better and better
would love one of these kits im going to get one asap
We've got them on our shop and you can get 5% off with the code NEW2FPV

@@volaertusgot any sales right now?
How do i find out which version it is from an unopened box? Tryin to buy one an unopened from someone but he doesnt knw which version he has.
can you confirm that it should be put in raceband 8 ?
I would like get it as my first drone to learn to fly, the position hold can be turn on and off?
The Cetus FC version can be used with pc and some simulator?
Not sure on turning the position hold on and off actually, but if I had to guess I'd say you can. The radio is what determines whether you can use for simulator, since it's the same radio just a different protocol, you should be able to get it working on PC
just ordered one today get it in 3 days cannot wait, what batterys do you use?
Ran 450mAh when I had it, but we gave it away. You didn't buy from us? We are sad! 🙂
What is the typical range of both the video and quad control?
Video is almost always the limiting factor. In an open field, I'd say a couple hundred feet is the limit. With buildings or things in the way it is much, much less.
Question does the Cetus Pro remote control work Cetus x drone and goggles? Please I need to know 🙏🙏❤ thanks for the information in this video btw
If it's ELRS it could work but I would focus more on the upgrades AFTER the cetus kit because these are very much intro level kits and most pilots who get serious about FPV will quickly outgrow them. Hope that helps!
Can't find a good answer but how does this compare to the aquila 16? This is at least $50 more expensive. Not sure if it is worth it. I had a few drones including a couple race quads but was never any good so they died early. Looking to finally learn how to fly fpv.
Haven't tried the Aquila sorry but I know the cetus x is great. Check out the tiny hawk 3 rtf kit I bought one for myself it's awesome
What goggles can you advice next step up compare to that kit at the price still at very low budget? Will meteor models works to that googles ? Can u reco also with meteor models goggles that is as well budget?
It just depends on whether you want to stay in the analog world or not. If you want to go digital, you can begin researching the big 3: Walksnail, DJI, and HDZero.
For analog, there are many many options depending on what your budget is. If you know for sure you are going to be in FPV for a while, it's definitely worth considering digital. You can always install a digital VTX on your current analog drones to make them compatible with whichever digital goggle brand you choose,
@@volaertus appreciate much for the help master
Hello friend, I have a cetus x that I updated, now my pc does not recognize it, as if the usb was dead, do you know something?, thanks
What did you update, exactly? The firmware?
@@volaertus yes
Does betafpv config havs a console and cli files support?
Yes it's on their website. I know I saw the CLI dump for sure
@@volaertus Thanks!
Probably too late to win,But This video is very helpful 👍🏼👍🏼
Still made it in if you emailed, lots of entries but someone is going to win!
I noticed that the beta fpv Cetus x was more expensive than the beta flight, why is that? Is it because of the stabilization on the BetaFpv?
Yes, the extra hardware (sensors) and research/development put into the altitude hold version makes it pricier
Is there any difference in flying except for the stabilisation? Is the Betaflight fc Version beter for fast fpv?
Hey bro Where did you buy Drone antenna?
We have our own store. Check out the links in the description! We ship from Texas
Does it make it perform better
@@volaertus ?
i use a lollipop 4 on my VR03. And it is also possible to install a lollipop in the cetus x... You are the second video i see with this strange yellow color on the plastic...
that's from grass being cut up by the blades and the pilot not cleaning it off.
I broke mine flying in the cold. The M04 vtx is not available on there website so when mine broke I removed all the electronics bought a meteor 85 frame and a new M03 vtx with the C03 camera. I would buy a new vtx and camera for that frame of it was available.
Ok so I watched your whole video a see you sell the camera vtx combo!! I will be ordering it soon and will get the Cetus x back in the sky. If you haven’t flown the Cetus pro check that out sometime. It’s a fun indoor flier the only down side to it is the betafpv software.
Yes sir, in stock and ships from Texas! Let me know if you have any questions support@volaertus.com
I love the set up, the only thing I'm worried about is the goggles. I know you can't adjust them for focusing. And they look tiny, would it be worth it to buy better box goggles that adjust for focus?
Am I overthinking this?
Any ideas? Anyone?
If you're buying the kit you're stuck with the betafpv goggles. If you're just buying the cetus x drone get something better if $$$ isn't a big problem
I didn't drop my goggles either, but they stopped working after about 2 months of light usage. Also, the plastic on googles and radio got brown blemishes from the neoprene straps in the case. My opinion is that the drone itself is good enough, but the kit is too overpriced for the quality you get.
Sorry to hear. None of our customers have reported any issues with the goggles except for the staining
Drone speed ?
Never took the speed of it at full throttle, but I would say this thing can definitely hit 25-30 MPH
tip power could be also increased via osd when you out in the filed and forgot to do that before. no need for PC ! :)
Yeah I didn't even know about that until recently. Always learning stuff haha
Cool - you can easily replace antena with polarised one - no disassembling needed ;)
(Btw, for me Lumenier micro rhcp works better)
Definitely an option, but I did not want to overwhelm the beginners. Lots of people watch our videos with varying skillets and I always want to assume nothing 🙂
@@volaertus can you pls make a video on how to do this
@@furhamsnikta6757 hi, you would simply buy the antenna, unplug the one the drone has currently, and install the new one. The connector is UFL. Hope that helps! We dont have the cetus anymore since we gave it away during our giveaway a week ago, sorry!
