Your grandma was not only a great sport doing this but a natural as well. Being a person wearing glasses, how did the googles work for your grandma? Did the googles have diopter setting so she could get a clear image?
The goggles did not have a diopter, inside the goggles it’s just a screen and no lenses, if you need to wear glasses with your goggles I would look at getting a set of fat shark goggles
epic beard, nice video. I bought a Cetus X kit a week ago. in Angle Mode its supposed to hover on its own if you don't touch the right stick. So I would arm it on my floor, gently add throttle until it was about 6 to 8" off my floor. it always seemed to want to drift backwards a little and I would correct for that, then I would just not touch the right stick for a moment. all of a sudden it would lose power and drop to the floor, then it would give itself a little power and bounce up about 8 to 10" and then cut power, hit the floor, bounce up, drop down, up, down, until I dis-armed it. So then I decided I just need to try to fly it. So I throttled up a bit, got it about 2 feet off the floor and gently eased the right stick forward until the drone was slowly moving across the room, all of a sudden the motors screamed and the drone rockets into my ceiling! I had to dis-arm it again to stop it from pin-balling around my house, full throttle when I have the throttle stick pulled all the way back! it kept doing those things all the first day and the second day. nothing I did stopped it. So I returned it.
Hey @ReelVirtuoso, Opinions on the Cetus X are quite divided. Some say you should buy it, while others advise against it. This makes it hard to make a good choice because just when you think you've made the right decision, you come across new reviews that make you doubt again. Then someone recommends another drone, but that one gets discouraged as well. In short, it drove me crazy. Since this is my first drone purchase, I really want to make the right choice. That's why I've decided to save up a bit more for a slightly bigger budget.
@@resstrictionss Thanks for the reply! I actually went out and purchased the Cetus X yesterday lol right after this comment! I am truly a beginner, worked my way with a pocket drone from harbor freight for 10 bucks, it’s a great practice tool that doesn’t break the bank before purchasing your first drone. Realistically I spend some time doing a lot of hobby’s and am the same way you are, I need my choice to be exact and perfect. I believe the Cetus x is everything you need to get started and to build a better drone in the future. I think for a lot of new users, it’s the choice between analog and digital. How much money do you want to invest in your first drone? I didn’t want to invest a lot but I also wanted a platform to build off of. You will crash a lot and sometimes it isn’t worth spending the 400-600+ on components and a dope drone with a crazy camera set up just to break it in the training process. I’ve already broken a frame and swapped the internals to a new shell. I personally think for the money, this is everything you need. Transmitter can work after you graduate from this drone, goggles are ok but probably the first thing to upgrade, remote is solid and works with sims, probably have 15-20 flights with one really bad crash, that was user error. Start small. Go up. Good luck bro!
@@resstrictionss I've been using it for a while, it's great, REALLY powerful for a tinywhoop. I'd advise you get it but just be careful because my VTX shattered on it. Good luck!
Great video, appreciated your take on the drone and the detail you put into this. At that price point I wouldn’t expect great video quality but it felt like pretty bad quality. Curious why you didn’t call that out as a negative.
Video on analog drones and goggles will never be like digital you can upgrade the antennas and camera to get better image quality but it’s pretty normal to have break up in video with analog.
Well if you think about it it is just the recording your seeing and that’s more than likely not what hes seeing when he goes into the other room, in order to know what it really looks like youd have to get one, mines coming in on Saturday 😂
You can get it better in long rage just by turning the vtx power up. It’s default is 25 kw, you can turn it up to 400 kw using smartaudio or betaflight
Wise words from Jonny - “Ohh daddy…” 😭👍
Also the googly eyes added the final touch to top everything off, I love it!

Which simulator are you using? I am planning to purchase the Cetus X in 10 days.
You end up getting it?

Why is it so laggy?😢
It’s the analog transmission, I have a ton of WiFi devices in my house so the signal gets messy sometimes
