I own the large, mini and micro version. I like the mini the most, really like it a lot, because of the size, combined with the toughness. Great knives!
Carpenter quit providing XHP steel for knives, is what, if I remember correctly, Lynn Thompson said some years back. I had one of these versions. Very nice knives. I might have to get this newer Aus10 versions. Thanks for the review.
I got this knife and I love it. Put myself serrations on it (half serrated) and it is a great Sport and Utility knife arround the house, at work and for bicycle tours. It’s thin, Not heavy and a little tank.
I’ve got the two micro recons sitting next to my chair to open Amazon packages with. Fun little knives. I need to get another Recon 1 because I modded my first one and gave it away. Looks like I need to order the mini too.
i just won a Recon 1 Tanto XL to go with my other Recon 1's large and mini and there are some nice items you can get to customize them swap out screws colors, Cog Rings , thumb studs ect....

I just ordered one of these in spear point for about 42 dollars. I owned a micro in aus 8 I lost it somewhere in my house and I loved that tiny knife

Just get the Spyderco Yojimbo 2, it’s a 3.5” warncliff blade that looks like a big Tuff lite.
What do you think of the grippier finish on the Counterpoint handle? It's also Griv Ex so it's feasible.
Hmm I like it! But I think I prefer this texture. Still plenty of grip, less of a pocket shredder though lol
I got this knife and really enjoy how it looks and feels. It has a rather thick blade but luckily that is offset by its saber grind.
True. It is pretty stout for a smaller blade
