Don't let Positroniks speed and authority confuse you. Read carefully what he says and question his words. Ask yourself why he makes assertions without any evidence to back them up and why he offers his opinion up as though it were fact.

LOL! He said, If we can sneak Obama in this year (2008) "life will get much better"... He messed-up big time on that prediction. Obama took all the bad stuff of Bush and turbo charged it!
Just my personal observation, don't take me too seriously ... Think for yourselves, fair enough? :)

I saw Tom B. present at a CIO Forum event. Amazing speaker. Though I wonder if his sphere of influence ever thought China was gonna beat us at our own game...and they are.

@Ganderco Examples? I would say the Obama administration's handling for foreign affairs is much better than the Bush Administration's. His handling of Libya so far seems to have been exactly how this guy seems to advocate. The continuation of the PATRIOT Act, the continuation of Guantanamo, and stuff like that is not what this guy suggests though.

Tom Barnett is a self confessed Economic Determinist. So, if you are going to watch him get used to him embracing globalization as a good influence. Even if you think globilization is bad explain to the rest of the world why there are no great power wars in the world. Europe peaceful. East Asia peaceful. How did that happen? Did these countries just get smart and realize war is a waste of lives and money. History doesn't show that mankind learned that lesson at any time.

dnrood1 Bankster ilk and their Vatican overlords choose their wars! Throughout history Rome warred on those not under them and agreed to not war on those who were.
Do as now prosperous Iceland. Kick them all OUT!

Just a little suggestion before you try to throw numbers at people and insult them please do a little research and figure out where that number came from and how it was calculated. Once you do that find the real numbers and put them in context of the time and the place and most importantly conditions of time when this was all taking place. Who knows may be this will challenge your whole view system of the world and than may be it won't, but just give it a try.

so , all what this guy is speaking about is democracy . And as we know democracy is atheism brought to it's peak. democracy is when you are allowed to get married with a dog, and that's why some people want democracy so much. very democratic american democracy, when america does what it wants to do , and other nations are due to listen to what america has to say about their actions and if they are not assumed to be currect then do what america wants

also, what do you think of the south Koreans - and penchant for their products from tech to cars kia to washing machines and smart phones - they seem like a smart choice for that supply you wish to ignore vs meeting demand
the south koreans have the highest IQ per population - i’m leaning towards their tech - talk m e out of it .....
