Some Notre Dame fans are as or if not more delusional than Michigan fans. ND always thinks they have God on their side hence their arrogance and pretension.
Ohio State fan here, not all that familiar with Notre Dame but you've beaten some legit teams in the playoffs. I know you've got some injuries but when it comes to the most important game of the year anything can happen. I can't say I'm not confident in us winning but need to play with out mistakes and same for you guys. Will be a great game either way. Knowing you have an ex osu grad as head coach that has taken Notre Dame to the next level is pretty cool and got rid of that cancer Kelly. Kudos to that
Happy to hear about grounded OSU fan as opposed to the garbage talk I am hearing here in Cincinnati. Respect to you! You are right, this will be a dogfight. And I am looking forward to it!
People like him because he's clearly great at his job. And because when other coaches are talking trash, instead of giving it back, he just coaches his team to a win over them.
And let's be real Notre Dame the last couple of years I played Ohio State with their weakest of quarterbacks of all time Will Howard and Kyle McCord Aren't up to the normal caliber of Ohio State quarterbacks even though one is going to a national championship
This long-time Notre Dame fan thinks Brian Kelly will be disappointed if ND wins National Championship game. Simply put if Kelly's former team wins it makes him look bad. Ultimately only God knows. Brian Kelly would never admit to this, but I believe. Even though Brain was trying to be nice he's made it clear he doesn't like Brian Kelly.
Sure there is. The world in which we all.currently reside. The idea that Notre Dame couldn't make it ugly for a team that lost to a far inferior team in Michigan is just OSU homerism. Guaranteed that you said the same before the Georgia game. You also definitely said PSU was gonna beat them. At some point, you must get tired of being wrong.
You get that they didn't have wide receivers catching balls because the Irish secondary locked them all up while the front 7 was getting hits on the QB... Right? People act like every time Notre Dames defense stops a team, it was the other team failing rather than Notre Dame succeeding
Im an OSU fan 50 + years and ive seen enough to make me realize, ANYTHING can happen in the playoffs. Trash talk is not recommended. Just cheer your team. Best of wishes to both sides.
On a given day, upsets can happen. I think ND can compete, but if they played this game 10 times, I’d expect OSU to win 6 or 7. And that’s not meant as a slight to my Irish. It’s just two things, I think: OSU is absolutely stacked and ND has suffered so many key injuries. They’ve overcome so far, and it’s admirable … but you gotta wonder if it catches up. I’ll say IF ND had B Morrison, Traore, Mills, and if Jagusah had been healthy all year, I’d call it a toss up. Maybe I’d consider ND a slight favorite even. OSU is still ridiculously talented, but I honestly believe ND has a coaching advantage - though OSU has good coaches too. I just think it doesn’t get better than Golden, Denbrock, Mickens, McCullough, Rudolph, Biagi, et al. ND needs to play an “A” game, probably needs to win turnovers, and will need to make a few plays through the air. They can win, but … damn … they’ll have to earn it big time. Go Irish ☘️!
I'm an Ohio State fan and absolutely agree. I hate seeing so many of our fans acting so arrogantly going into this game. They remind me of tennessee fans going into the shoe or georgia fans heading into the notre dame game. Notre Dame has a damn good team. They fight and find ways to win. They didn't stumble over their dicks into the championship game. They earned it, like we did, and should be respected for it.
I graduated from Notre Dame in 1991. On 1/2/1989, I rushed the field with other students when ND won its last championship game. ND hasn't had great bowl game victories since the early 1990s, so this year's playoff run finally gets back to that level. Many skeptics in the media dismissed ND from the start against Georgia and Penn State. My view was that those teams generally had more talent, but ND had a "puncher's chance". Now, most sportscasters and AI models pick OSU. Again, I say ND has a "puncher's chance". It should be a great game. Maybe this ND team is "your dad's ND team from Generation X". Hopefully, the current students get to experience that rush on the field like I did in 1989.
Why you defending Kelly? The guy abandoned his team the day before playoff teams were announced and then said it was because he wanted to go somewhere he could win. Every sports fan should have a vendetta against that clown.
@@snerdterguson no one is defending Kelly. If the truth bugs you then that’s a personal problem. His comment was misleading plain and simple. Kelly did not once say or suggest he recruited a majority of those guys.
24-20? Only one team has scored 24+ points on OSU all year. And that was Oregon. Call me biased, but ND is not going to be the offense that does that, lol
Notice a pattern “Notre dame is going to lose” notre dame wins. There’s been doubt all season and now at the finish line it’s all the way turned up we will see if they can cancel out the noise let’s goooo Irish 🍀🍀🍀🍀💪🏻💪🏻
They never make it to this point, let alone past it. Notre dame will never win another national championship. They are a good brand. Due to academics, they will never compete
@@CoolKid-mg9boExactly! Notre Dame has not scored more than 27 points. Ohio State has not scored less than 28 points. OSU beat Notre Dame with McCord.
Marv was a great wr but he was never a guy who got lots of separation on routes vs man. He was a guy that would catch it while covered anyway JJ runs great routes and will also catch it if covered. Its wild to say but JJ as a freshman may be better than marv already. JJ is a freak. To think he was playing in high-school a year ago is wild.
Penn State had 9 days rest after playing Boise. Notre Dame had 7 days rest after playing Georgia. All ND fans suspected we might come out slowly. I’ll also note that Penn State’s running game is far better than the Buckeyes’.
@@Commonwolfcrypto Then why are OSU’s running metrics so bad, despite having such a devastating passing game? They have gaudy raw numbers because teams focus on shutting down the WR corps, but the Buckeyes have the most overrated RB room in the country. They’re good, but not great. Henderson is a pure speed back with very little wiggle or flexibility. Judkins is twitchy and sudden in a way that Trey isn’t, but he has no speed at all. Maybe a 4.65 guy at the combine, if he runs at all (probably won’t). Neither will make it in the League. PSU has a much bigger, better run blocking line, a better scheme, and their backs fit the scheme perfectly. Both Singleton and Allen will play at least 3 / 4 years in the NFL. You’re an OSU homer, not a good judge of ability.
Lifelong Notre Dame fan. Hoping for a great game. Sure, this could turn into a blowout. Ohio state is obviously more talented, but I believe in this staff and the players. Wouldn’t be surprised by any result. We shall see in a couple of days. None of this stuff matters until then. It’s all speculation.
Its exactly Notre Dame, it has a tough defense, tough running, solid defense and special teams. And the one weakness as always(forever), The QB is not elite. I love Leonard and he is a great guy, but he is a band aid like always for ND. I give them a punchers chance as long as they can run the ball and be positive on 4th down attempts.
Osu has allowed 120 or so yards rushing in 3 playoff games with a sizeable chunk of those yards coming in garbage time vs UT. ND will struggle mightily to run the ball.
What relevance does that have anything? People trying to some arbitrary game that Alabama played in who's trash for the record, in a regular season game versus the national championship😂 I get it Notre Dame people need to convince themselves of this narrative but the poster said he does not have a dog in the fight, therefore he's just being objective , which is the exact opposite of what you are saying.. did Ohio State plays a cleanish game, the Irish can't hang @@me36391
I've been saying this all year long! I don't care how many times Leonard gives his Lord and Savior credit. Notre Dame won Bown Game with Steve Angeli, but inexplicably went with transfer 3rd time. Leonard runs because He can't throw ball effectively. I'm tired of people making excuses for Leonard's mistakes!
Notre Dame is the amazing underdog. People just don’t realize how good they truly are. They can’t throw the football but they run at will against everyone! Ohio State has no chance to stop the run. The Notre Dame defense is the best defense that has ever played football. Ohio State will be shut down. Ohio State 38 - ND 13
No one is disrespecting the Irish. They're appreciating their deficiencies when compared to the Bucks. There is a significant health and talent gap between these 2 teams
There are a TON of people acting like the game is already over and OSU is the champ. I constantly see people predicting OSU is going to crush ND. I see score predictions that have OSU winning by 40+ If yoh are going into the game and predicting either team is going to crush the other, then you are disrespecting the team you think is getting crushed.
Also, check the health and talent on Georgia and PSU. There was a huge disparity for those games too. Notre Dame still won. Football isn't won by individual talent, it is won by a team. I agree that OSU is better on paper. But Notre Dame has handled better offenses. This is the best defense both teams will have seen all year. On paper, this should be a low scoring game that's decided by under 10 points. Probably something like 20-14 or 21-13 or something.
And those individual talents couldn't handle Michigan, which is the team they played most similar to Notre Dame in play style. Though Michigan isn't close to as good as the Irish are. Both teams in the game will be facing the honest defense they've seen all year. And both are facing the best team they've faced as well.
did you guys play 3 top 5 ranked teams in the regular season ansd then 3 top 10 ranked teams in the playoffs? ND played no one in the regular season. your toughest games were LOU 15 and who else? Buckeyes played Oregon, Penn state and Indiana in the regular season, both penn and Oregon were away games so comparing them stats to 2 different schedules hold zero merit. here are the team we played in top 10 this year in order. Oregon, Penn state, Indiana, Tenn vols, Oregon, Texas.. 6 top 10 ranked teams. ND.. Lou, Texas a&m, usc beat them in the bowl game, Indiana, Penn state, ohio state beat both, Georgia. who had a tougher schedule?

So ND played there season they have 1 loss they dominated and OSU will loose 35 to 24 just saying
@@TwilightsDreamAngel OSU will be Notre Dame's 3rd straight top 5 team. ND went 4-0 versus ranked teams in the regular season, beating undefeated Texas A&M, undefeated Louisville, undefeated Navy and undefeated Army (who had the #1 rushing defense in football). OBVIOUSLY those teams weren't far off from Indiana (#8), Georgia (#2) and Penn State (#5).
Please stop with the excuses. ND has the 2nd best pass defense in the country. They're #1 in turnovers. Penn State didn't have a reception to a wide receiver. They're good. OSU will not score more than 10.
This game is a toss up. But I’m leaning towards the buckeyes considering what they did to Oregon but I was shocked with how the Irish beat Georgia, so…
I do agree with Ryan Day rubbing people the wrong way. Like he threw Kyle McCord under the bus when it was his crappy play calling that cost them the Michigan game the past 2 years.
Rooting for the Irish but they just don’t have the offense that can score enough points. If they were fully healthy I’d move the spread to Ohio state -3.5 but unfortunately they’re too beat up to hang with Ohio state
If you even thought of moving the line to -3.5 you’d be out of a job before you could finalize such a move. In all actuality with that frame of thinking you’d never land a gig as an odd maker. ND fully healthy +6.5, -8.5 is to protect against cross NFL teasers and parlays. All the money is coming in on Ohio St at -8.5 and you think at -3.5 20x money wouldn’t come in on Ohio St
@@702TifosiGamblerND healthy wouldn’t change anything. The only factor that matters is whether or not OSU plays their A game. If they do then no team in the country could beat them.
Lincoln's USC offense had that ability as well. OSU scares me, but if you expect a 4 touchdown blowout, prepare to be disappointed. This one is going down to the wire.
Both teams have tremendous momentum and confidence the last 3 games. People thinking both teams are the same teams in sept or Oct as they are now in the playoffs (where it’s win or go home) probably haven’t been a part of a team that has faced adversity like both teams clearly have (injuries force next man up mentality and both teams have battled through this, ND more) both teams are on a mission that now has them facing off in the national championship so you can toss out the regular season games and just look at their respective games and performances in the playoffs. It should be a great game and chess match between 2 of the best coaching staffs in football and 2 of the best overall defenses in football! The big difference is offense and how each team plays in the trenches and who wins most or more often. I’m an OSU fan, if we limit turnovers and score TDs instead of kicking FGs, OSU should win this incredible match up. Maybe 27-20 something like that
I dont have a dog in this fight but I think Notre Dame is going to get smoked. I hope its a good, close game but I just think Ohio State has too much fire power
Louisville (Brooks, Lacey and Bell) and USC (Branch, Lemon, Hudson and Robinson) had top 10 receiving corps. If you disagree, it’s probably because you’re a casual fan that doesn’t know shit about college football.
You do know that Notre Dame played Ohio st when marvin harrison jr was there and shut him down? You probably don't know because you probably jumped on the bandwagon this year.
@@Sarcastic_redbeard34 agreed but last year there was no Chip Kelly, Will Howard or Judkins, this year Egbuka is more polished pair all that with Jeremiah fairly difficult to slow down or beat Ohio St unless Will Howard implodes. That's just offense not going to mention how Ohio St best player Caleb Downs has transformed the defense, Ohio St has only allowed 18 pts or more 2x both vs Oregon. Long road ahead for ND Monday, realistically ND only chance of winning here they need Howard to implode similar to the Michigan game and or multiple special teams mishaps from Ohio St. Instead of focusing on if someone else jumped on a bandwagon focus on analyzing with clarity, from a sharp to a casual, do better.
@@HeywoodJablowme222 Bottomline - how is that a flex? Both units went WAAAY above ND's per game rec yardage. With trash a$$ QB's. OSU Unit is 2X better than both of those squads. Wow. You try to cap your take with an insult, weird. Sure you know ball?
@@Sarcastic_redbeard34 OSU has shut themselves down for almost the last 3 seasons. Notre Dame played great, nothing super special though. Marv is terrible at separation (see NFL) and McCord IS a turnover machine. Day knew it the moment Quinn Ewers left. Howard is good for at least 2 bad reads per game. Making a Game plan that (rightfully or wrongly) emphasis' running the ball rather than giving it to your Turnover Happy Gunslinger (McCord) is prudent against any good defense. The OSU game plan in big games morphed to zone "ball control" and only throw downfield on 3rd down for the last 2-7/8 seasons. Ryan Day is the only person that can stop OSU. I don't ride a bandwagon hoss, played and coached.
For ND to win, they need OSU to turn the ball over 2-3 times and have 75 yards in penalties. I don't mean the 5 yard false start penalties', I mean the 15 yarders that put you in 2 and 25 or 3 and 18.
I respect Notre Dame because they have had many injuries this year and are still in the national championship game! But…keep the same energy following the game because I honesty question if Notre Dame is even as good as Tennessee, Oregon or Texas which Ohio State disposed of! Go Bucks!
For all these supposed disrespect ND is getting, im seeing more and more “Nd 150 oSu 0 lOloLol” posts and predictions. Is this just like sour grapes or people trying to shock and go against what they perceive is the narrative? Makes no sense
ND ranked #7 Buckeyes #8 Ohio state has been disrespected the past 2 games as the lesser away team and now for a third game. Buckeyes are the dogs. 35-21 Bucks
Wrong. ND and OSU were ranked 5 and 6 by the committee. They were seeded 7 and 8. ND was also the "away" team the last 2 games because Georgia and PSU were seeded higher. Any media source still citing playoff seeds is stupid. Neither the seeds nor the playoff rankings are going to be updated. This is #3 Notre Dame vs. #5 OSU for the championship. Loser is guaranteed #2 in the final AP poll. 3. Texas 4. Oregon 5. PSU 6. Georgia 7. Probably Mississippi or Indiana. Louisville, Michigan and LSU will likely make the final top 25.
Facts are. OSU is #8 in this CFP format and ND #7. If OSU should be higher ranked then why not rank it that way? I don’t think they were at the end of the season and have a chance to prove it. In the betting world OSU is the Favorite. But I would treat OSU as the Dogs! They’re ranked as such. Ps..being lower ranked number is better, just in case
@steveradcliff4636 Fact- the "underdog" is a term used to denote the team that is NOT the betting favorite. Ranking and underdog are different things, just in case...
@ Who hasn't? What team has played perfect from week one to the end of the season? And really, take fandom out of it, what team has been playing the more consistent these past 3 weeks than Ohio State? If your game plan is hoping they revert back to inconsistency, well good luck.
I agree, notre dame very well might loose but it won’t be because they don’t feel like they can or by a blow out like previous years, they coaching has been astounding and well put them in the best position to win. I have a feeling Ryan’s gonna have the game of his life 35-24 Irish. Idk why I just feel despite his slow starts this is the game it all comes together for him if not and I’m wrong hey what a hell of a fucking season!!
ND hasn't done anything offensively against any of the good defenses they've played all year either. So he expects ND to put up 24, but they could only manage 16 against UGA offensively with a paltry 244 yards of total offense. Nah.
Been listing to Coach BD for a while, but I am dismissive of his comments on Love has to have a big game with Price, Williams and Leonard run abilities factored into the scheme.
OSU is rightly there but I think Oregon and Texas should be playing them in the natty. ND feels like TCU all over again. If OSU plays their A game this is over by halftime.
OSU wins 35-14 OSU is a battle hardened team that lost 2 games by a total of 3 points. ND did not play a top 10 team all season. The Irish got lucky thst UGA had to start their backup QB. PSU outplayed ND all game and but for that PSU defensive player giving ND an easy TD, PSU would be playing OSU
PSU outplayed ND in the 2nd half? They were outscored 24-14. Also OSU lost those 2 games by a total of 4 points, not 3. I guess math is not your strong suit. 😂

Either way this should be a good game and I look forward to it. I'm actually glad it's Irish vs Buckeyes because if we win a title I want to go through OSU.
Honest question as an ND fan...in this current landscape, are we to you what Georgia was to Bama? We seem to be good enough to win anywhere in the North but our hump is OSU? The battle for the North is ND, OSU, and the team up north???
This sounds like the same narrative that Tennessee had, just to show up and get treated like Kent state. Ohio State is far away the better team, ND had better be the team that brings respect.
This OSU team is as good as any of the best you can think of right now. 2019 LSU (Ok, maybe not that good lol), 2001 Miami, 2000 Oklahoma. I just think the amount of talent that ND has to overcome is too great. I don't see ND being able to score enough to keep them in this game and I expect their Offense is going to get worn out by OSU's elite Defensive front. Eventually OSU will pull away. That may be in the 2nd quarter or at the end of the 3rd, but it is going to happen. This OSU team isn't Texas, they aren't UGA , they aren't Penn State. And let's be real Notre Dame the last couple of years I played Ohio State with their weakest of quarterbacks of all time Will Howard and Kyle McCord Aren't up to the normal caliber of Ohio State quarterbacks even though one is going to a national championship

Brian Kelly would never admit to this, but I believe. Even though Brain was trying to be nice he's made it clear he doesn't like Brian Kelly.
OSU is a powerhouse…but I don’t doubt ND will give a hard fought battle and if OSU isn’t ready for a fist fight it could get ugly.

Im an OSU fan 50 + years and ive seen enough to make me realize, ANYTHING can happen in the playoffs. Trash talk is not recommended. Just cheer your team. Best of wishes to both sides.
GA fans were the most arrogant. PSU and OSU about average. Indiana didn't talk much trash.
@@DaveIrish66 yeah man, because college football in 2025 is so similar to college football in 2003.
Agree. But that door swings both ways. I hear lots of disrespect painting OSU as being all about money and having no grit or culture or team concept.
I haven't say enough anyone saying OSU has no grit, just people saying Notre Dame has more of it.

They do need a miracle. Penn State ran the ball all over this ND team. Ohio State is better

PSU has a much bigger, better run blocking line, a better scheme, and their backs fit the scheme perfectly. Both Singleton and Allen will play at least 3 / 4 years in the NFL.

OSU's playoff performance has not been as impressive as you think. That said, they are the most talented team in the country, but they have only performed up to that level 3 or 4 times all year.
@@mikebronicki82644-1 against top 5 teams. Went up 34-0 in the second quarter against the #1 team in the country - but yeah it's all an illusion. And while they could have lost to Texas, they didn't! That is an important distinction since they lost in the fourth quarter the last two years to the eventual national champion. This year they imposed their will in the fourth quarter against a Texas team that could have been champs.
They are really talented, but if they were that good they wouldn't have stumbled twice. Oregon was legit but Michigan???? Cmon, man... Indiana beat them

Jeez the shots at Ryan day what the hell. His players love him.
This mob mentality hate on Day is bizarre. People flat out refuse to give him the respect he deserves. Even that narrative of doing nothing with what Urban handed him, well Urban Meyer's record his last 4 years at Ohio State was 45-6, the same exact record as Ryan Day in his first 4 years. Urban's 6 losses included a 24-55 loss to unranked Iowa, a 20-49 loss to unranked Purdue, a blown 14 point 4 quarter lead to unranked Penn State; all while the Buckeyes were ranked in the top 6. Ryan Day's 6 losses were all to top 5 teams with the exception of 12th ranked Oregon. Meyer also never a made playoff in his last 4 years at OSU while Day made 3 where the Buckeyes were underdogs in every post season game and finishes with; a 1 score loss to Clemson, a 21 point win over favored Clemson, a bad blow out loss to eventual champion AL, and a 1 point loss to eventual champion GA. Almost 1/3 of Day's losses have been to the eventual Natty winner, who was better than EVERYBODY. They all want to hold Day to this standard that no other coach has met. ND cold lose by 50 and al you'll hear is the what ifs that cost ND the game.
@@BulletProofSoul1029"Ryan Day's 6 losses were all to top 5 teams with the exception of #12 Oregon." Wow! You guys really DON'T want to remember what Michigan did to you in November. 😂
@mikebronicki8264 Ummm, 2024 is Ryan Day's 6th year as a head coach. You're throwing laughing emojis around like you won something, but the truth is, you're just exposing yourself as slow. Why don't you actually try and COMPREHEND what was written before embarrassing yourself in a rush to try and look cute.🤦🏿
@@BulletProofSoul1029 fine. Tell me which of Day's losses were to a more talented team? Or, when did he beat a more talented team? Winning games against inferior talent is not so impressive.
@@mikebronicki8264 Ryan Day lost to 3 teams who went on to win the Natty. Those teams were better than EVERYBODY in college football years. OSU was also the UNDERDOG in every previous CFP under him and came away with; 2 losses of 6 points or less on the final plays, 1 blowout victory over a favored Clemson, and a bad defeat to a generational 'Bama team. So which one of Day's losses are somehow stand out in the history of College Football? Even Kirby Smart lost to a Vandy team that finished 6-7. Nick Saban's 'Bama lost Louisiana-Monore. Which one of Day's loses is worse than any of those? What, losing to this year's Michigan team? Jim Harbaugh had a #7 Michigan team that lost to unranked Michigan State and a #3 Michigan team that lost to unranked Iowa. Even Urban at OSU had a 21 point loss to unranked Iowa and 19 point loss to unranked Purdue, all while having top 5 teams. Quit trying to make it seem like Ryan Day is somehow this anomaly in coaching who cant compete and loses like no other coach in history. You sound slow.
I’m a Buckeye fan and I couldn’t agree more. ND is a great “team.” They play hard for each other and for their coach.
Dude's not gonna show his face on this show after Ohio State crushes them. 😄😄Watch!!
