‘Running’
Running is ace! Well done to all the Fordys.
Thanks a lot
Congratulations boys, inspiring stuff.
Thanks so much!
i am so crying at 11 mins!!!!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve just realised that ‘Hobbit’ has 6 letters in it. A star for each letter 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done Chris and congrats to Heyden, what a day, such a tough course, definitely most difficult have done thrilled to pb faster than Berlin, and 13th age group happy days. Well done again guys
Congrats
❤🎉congratulations!! I also ran NYC and it’s kinda good to know that this course super tough for experienced runners like you! It was HARD. But man… what an experience. WOW .. the participants, spectators and volunteers. Soooo amazing. Truly once in a lifetime experience
Congrats
First really got into your channel watching the Edinburgh vlog. I cried at that one and I had a proper lump in my throat watching this one.
For all the laughter and the banter, that look and exchange with Hayden when you first see him at the finish 😢. That’s running for me at it’s absolute best 🥰🥰❤️❤️. Congratulations to you both and thank you for letting us being a part of this rodeo.
Oh wow! Thanks so much
❤
Well done Fordy and Mr Six ⭐! 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks alot
Fantastic Chris and Hayden both done amazing 🎉🌟🎖️
Thank you
Not going to lie, felt emotional watching that. Amazing achievement. I bet your girls are all so proud of you. Well done. Lovely dedication to Big Fletch at the end too ❤
Thank you mate ❤️
Congrats Chris and well Done Hayden, I ran it too and my lord it was BRUTAL everyone I talked to said same, that has to be my toughest Marathon ever!
100%!!!
Brilliant Chris, Great run indeed and looked tough with the hilly bridges. Well done to you and big congrats to Hayden for the 6.
Glad you enjoyed it
Mate I’m so proud of you, you stuck with it and more importantly you didn’t push it and respected the course..
Thank you for your support xx love you mate xx
That one was for you big guy ❤️
Thank you mate ❤️❤️❤️
That Mile 15/16 Bridge is so tough, but I like that it does give you a small break from the crowd to regroup.
Great video , enjoyed watching it although it looked very tough for you both . Well done to you and Hayden , amazing stuff that 👏👏
Thanks 👍
Great video. Well done Fordy and Hayden.
Thank you
Congratulations to both of you 🎉🎉🗽🇺🇲♥️ "Best day of my life." Big and brave, or maybe silly words for a married man but I can wholeheartedly agree 👍 As when I ran the NYC Marathon followed by a totally different Marathon in Uganda just 5 and a half days later it was definitely the best week of my life 🙂 There is nothing on the Marathon circuit quite like that section of the course through Williamsburg where you are like Moses parting the red sea ⛵ as you run through the crowds. Great seeing the pure joy on your faces 😁😁 Brilliant video that stokes up some wonderful memories for me. THANK YOU!! 🙂
Thanks so much
Yeah Fordy!!! Smashed it and good vibes all round. Loved it 😊 well done, mate. And so stoked to have finally met you. Let’s not leave it so long next time, yeah? 😂
Yeah maybe not that long 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done - glad you enjoyed your tour around the Big Apple - if you’ve not yet done it I can really recommend the Rome Marathon and the Barcelona course is pretty interesting too!
You mentioned how tough the NY course is but the strange thing is I ran my 2:57:48 Marathon PB at the Isle of Thanet Marathon back in the day (1986) when the final 7/8 miles of the course was along the coast from Pegwell Bay to Margate via Ramsgate and Broadstairs - hill after hill after hill!
The best I ever managed in a big city event was 3:06:01 in London (1993) - not as busy as it is nowadays but still hard to run at your own pace - think that one finished on Westminster Bridge.
Thanks so much
Rome is definitely a beast of a course - hills, cobble stones and potential hot weather. I was a fool and ran it in racing flats too (my 13th Marathon in 16 months after doing a 12 in 12). Took me over 2 years to recover from an injury that I got through the back of that little run. Rome is a brilliant race though 👍 good crowds and just one amazing sight seeing journey. An incredible event but I still say that is the toughest City course that I have ever run.
Epic video! Well done doesn't begin to cover it. What a pair of absolute legends. Briiliant stuff!👏👏👏👏🤙
Thank you
Some Boys! Effort fellas ! What a place to run !!!! Unbelievable
Thank you
Well done. Was great meeting you at the shakeout run.
Thank you for the support
Congratulations Chris, great video really enjoyed watching your race day experience. What’s next? Speak soon Paul
Great video. Well done as that looked brutal.
Well done Fordy 🎉
Well done Chris, I also ran New York the crowd support is amazing I want to run it again next year, looks like you had an awesome day, saw the event for believe in the run on Saturday but went and ran park run instead in New Jersey
Congratulations Chris! I ran the NYC marathon too and thought it was brilliant - from the canon at the start with Frank Sinatra singing "New York, New York" to the crowds. The noise in Brooklyn was deafening and overall atmosphere (dare I say it) might have been better than London. Yes, the bridges were long slow hills but when you got to the top it was much easier going down the other side. Hats off to the organisers - they did a great job with the expo, start, aid stations and finish. Also NYPD were out in force and I've never seen so many police. So glad you enjoyed it. What an experience!
Congrats!!
What an awesome video to watch. I felt the emotion from you. Amazing to watch. So big question NYC VS London? 😂. Well done buddy. Big 👍to Hayden
London 🇬🇧
Great job!!!!Jon!!!!! Thank you for sharing
My pleasure!!
It was a pleasure walk/running with you from 18😂, defintiely helped power me through a tough race. but like you said we were gonna make it to the finish regardless! Keep up the amazing content Fordy!
There’s my guy!!!! That’s what I love about running meeting people like you!! We crushed it bro crushed it!!!
Great run Chris. And you did New York proud: with a Cecil B. De Mille production.
A spine tingler!
Thank you
Well done Chris, I photo bombed your group photo in the Corral at the start. Great video!!
Hero move
Well done both.. had me 🥹 at the end there as well.. soo many emotions I bet.. 👏🏻👏🏻 what a dream race 😊.. buzzing for you both
Thank you
Congrats Chris on getting the job done on a Beast of a course and a big well done to Hayden on getting 6 star medal… that has inspired me to sign up for the Superhalfs, Lisbon and Berlin signed up… another masterpiece from Fordy productions, me too had something in my eye when you crossed the finish line…
Thanks 👍
I was in orange start too … course was brutal … great support !
Well done
Great vibes. You make me want to train for my next marathon.. and New York one day.. pretty hard to get into. Greetings from Netherlands
Love the Amsterdam marathon we had a blast there
🎉🏅🎊 Congratulations!! I'm so glad that Ben Bridges at thismessyhappy turned me on to your channel!
Thank you! Ben is in Sundays video ❤️
I have just found you and this video has brought back very happy memories of when I did the marathon although I only walked it....but I was wearing a decorated plunge bra at the time....raising money for a breast cancer charity. It made me laugh when you complained about how early you had to get up.... I had to get up at 2am to catch the 2.30 am coach to the start.....thankfully the organizers have come to their senses and put it back a semi decent time. One last memory is doing the Hokey cokey with 40 other people as part of the warm up...needless to say we made an impression.
well done
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 that was one tough long, run , very well done Chris , we will never forget the experience
Just so cool to hang with you bro
@@FordyRuns I know , I will make an effort in 2024 to pop down one weekend and do a long run with you and the lads 👍
Great Achievement Mr F. Fully deserved Medal.
Atmosphere only in America. 👏🥇
Thank you
Brilliant recap. Congratulations on an awesome run. So good to see an 'ordinary'* runner have a great day out - walking the hills like a normal person. Loved every minute of this.
*obvs nothing ordinary about running a marathon, but you know what I mean!!
I get you 1 million %
Congratulations guys! Looked epic, such a emotional thing marathons felt that at the end 👊
Thank you
I have run most of the big city courses, I ran NY once in 1999. I was fit but NY is the most draining of all. Not just the course but everything surrounding it, early buses, crowds over the Verrazano Bridge but mostly the incessant crowd noise. I had to stop running near the edge of the road because it was taking too much out of me. Yelling at full volume in my ear constantly and a million requests for high 5’s. But what an experience. Do it but be prepared.
Yeah man it rocks your soul
No requests for kisses? 🙄
I missed out on that!@@alexanders4911
What a great run Chris, congrats!! I was not far behind you. I thought the worst climb was in central park between miles 24 and 25. Where did that come from?!?! Love the video and commentary. You crushed it and congrats to Hayden on the 6!
Congrats!!
Massive congratulations Chris 👏🏻👏🏻 watching all of your videos has inspired me to sign up to my first ever Marathon in 2024. I've run many half marathons but never a proper marathon. Tried to get into London but didn't get in, so I've decided to run Manchester in April, excited and nervous at the same time about it. So thank you for all your videos, keep it up 👍🏻😁
Same here Ryan - I'm doing Manchester as my first full in April too - Also nervous and excited in equal measure :)
Fantastic! Good luck keep us posted
Félicitations 🎉
Love It FORDY
Thank you
Simms Security was in the house yesterday working NYC Marathin, shout out to the 50,,000 runners worldwide.NYC Roadrunners,NYPD,NYFD,Medical staff and volunteer workers helping out at Central Park yesterday.

Thank you
thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us share your journey! i cant wait to hear what is next for hayden!!
More to come!
Well they are talking about adding Sydney and a race in China to the Majors to make 8
Just when you think you're out..... they pull you back in!
@@rych7852Where in China? I haven't heard anything about that one. Sydney and Capetown are definitely possibilities for the next Majors in 2025. I know that they are planning to make it 9 Majors in total.
@@MarkSmith_Best-Athletics chengdu. 🤷♂️ No, me neither! 😂
From comments by Tim Hutching about Sydney, the current course is totally unsuitable for 40k runners! The last part of the course by the opera house is narrower than the South Bank. People will be squashed together!
@@rych7852 I also think that Sydney will face further issues with running separate events on the same day (Half Marathon, 10k or whatever it has). If it is to stand a chance of becoming a Major then Sydney must show that it can stand alone and run the event as a successful Marathon only. I think that the Cape Town Marathon would have to do the same although not heard any news about them having to make alterations to the course there. It is a shame that Sydney may not have the harbour and Opera House Finish if it does get the go ahead to become a Major.
I smiled all through that video 😁....massive congratulations to you all. That must of been incredible! 🎉
Thank you so much!!
Amazing ❤
absolutely brilliant Chris - showing it real, no filter. Huge well done!!
Thanks so much!
That medal is an absolute beauty. Very well done Chris.
Thank you
congrats Chris! reagrds from LA
Wow thanks
Congratulations! It was an amazing day! The crowd support is the best I've ever experienced! Absolutely crazy!
Yes it was! Congrats
A great watch, really good video. I did the NY Marathan last year and agree it's the toughest and best. The crowd was immense and watching this helped bring back some great memories 👍
All the emotions in that one!! Well done Chris! Another major ticked off and it looks like you thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the tough course 🎉🎉
It was tough but yeah loved it
@@FordyRuns The crowds are insane. I ran it last year and ran with my husband at his pace. I had such a good time. It’s one to just have fun and enjoy 🎉
Great work, Chris. Glad to see you had a blast. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Seeing the pure joy in your voice is very inspiring! Everyone needs to find something they truly love to do, like you!! Congrats!!!

Thanks 👍
Dream come true! Very glad for you Fordy!
Thanks!!
Great video. I enjoyed that
Glad you enjoyed it
Chris, I'm so pleased you got to experience this. You are an inspiration. I ran my first marathon at London this year, and your podcasts kept me sane through training. Went to New York for a break in November a few years ago and just remember how cold and windy it was. So, well done. A 6am run around the Central Park 10k is pretty special with the sun rising around you. Maybe one for your bucket list?
Congrats on London hopefully meet you soon
Congratulations, Chris!!! I'm glad you had a great experience. I love watching your raceday videos. You keep inspiring to work toward my first marathon. April 28, 2024 in Eugene, Oregon, USA. Thank you for your attitude.
Good luck and thank you
I was waking up 42nd street after the shake out tun and I heard this thick accent. I travel to London regularly and my two best friends are from the UK so I pick up on the differen accents. As I’m heading down the stairs to the subway it hits me that was Fordy.
Hero 👊
It was an absolute pleasure meeting you, members of believeintherun, other content creators and the running community. Love the vlog and congrats on the race!
Thanks and same to you
So proud of you, Fordy!
What an unbelievable experience!!!
You are a true runner + an inspiration to us.
I only wish I was there!
Once again, many congratulations + take care of yourself!

Fantastic stuff Chris. What an epic medal that looks to be!
It really is!
Congrats on your 1st NYC marathon!!! Besides, what were you wearing for your run? You haven't showed the shoes at all.
I was in the SC Elite 3 NY version
Awesome video, one of ur best, massive well done 📹👏👏👏
Thanks a ton!
Congrats Fordy, you are right it’s a tough course, have may legs elevated as I watch this, my body was so battered yesterday I questioned my life choices but the crowds were unbelievable, its what got me through and another lady on the course who said we can do this when I started walking with 7km left to go!
Congrats!!!
Congratulations Chris! Epic race! Stunning weather for it 👍
