I just want to say you have a very calming voice and the way you show how to work this particular style of crocheting makes me anticipate my next project. Thank you for all you do.
You're a natural-born teacher. You do a fabulous job of filming your work so that we can all follow along. I've always been inclined to knit because I found it so bothersome to try and sort out where to put that bloody hook when I'd come 'round to the end of each row, or when trying to make something as seemingly-easy as a crocheted flower. You're taking the "mystery" of of these things, for me. And you're giving me a new appreciation for crocheting. I wanted to say "Thanks!" for that. signed, Sincerely Appreciative (Laurel, in the States)
How I miss working with aTuscan hook!! I taught myself waaaay back before TH-cam and seeing you do this I must get myself another set and get busy. Thank you dear for all your lovely videos. God bless you.
I love your hint to hold your work flat to your hook to make sure you are going into the right part of the last stitch!! I am going to remember to explain it that way when I am teaching others! ❤❤❤
I am a beginner and Your video is the best I have ever seen. You make it so easy I know that I'll always be able to crochet or Tunisian stitches on any project I choose to do. Thank you so much. By the way, you should have several videos.
Laura I'm wanting to crochet a shawl..I'm 65 yrs old n need to be crocheting need to be refreshed. ..to give to brain a learning curve...I'll donate you monthly.,.as soon as I figure that out..n I will...Thank you for stay I g home with your children they need you more than you need big houses etc.most of our troubles here in the US..is children be I g raised my 1 parent or no parents at all.., I love what you're doing..you are so talented. . as cute....God Bless you!
Thank you so much Melissa for your kind message. I don't have a shawl tutorial at the moment, but that may be something nice to design in the future, so you never know! Thanks again for your sweet message :)
Thank you for making this tutorial. I've been wanting to learn this stitch and you're tutorial has made it really easy to learn. I'm already planning a project that is going to be a stitch sampler afghan and this stitch pattern is going to be one of the stitches I incorporate into the project.
Positively fascinating, but i am just getting perfected on the vintage granny squares and the cupcake stitch so I had better hold off on this till I can really get the hang of crocheting. Thanks so much for your amazing ability to teach.
Ordered my hooks. Can't wait to try this out. Your video explains it so well. I've struggled with other tutorials, so thank you. My aim for the New Year is to craft more, meaning I snack less! Plus new grand daughter due mid March, so would love to do a tunisain stitch blanket for her. Happy New Year Laura to you & all your family. xx
Thank you so much for your kind feedback Jane, I agree about the snacking prevention he he I have the same problem and crochet is brilliant for keeping those fingers busy! Congrats on the new grand daughter. I am so happy you will try this stitch with me.
I don't crochet, but this is very interesting. Your voice is very classy. I'm trying to figure out how to apply the pattern in loom knitting, as it looks a bit prettier, more honeycomb shaped, than the regular basket weave stitch. It looks like I could alternate e-wrap knit stitches with flat knits to get the same effect you have here, instead of knits and purls.
Ohhhhh I really want to do this...adding this to my list of projects for 2017... You're an amazing lady, love your videos...been following you for a very long time. Happy New Year for you and your love ones...🍾🎉🎊
In my experience; with tunisian crochet, it is best two go at least one to two hook sizes up, from what the recommendation is on the packaging. This reduces the curl in the work.
Fantastic, managed to practice this on a normal crochet hook! I head back to the UK next week so will get my Tunisian crochet hook and tune in to make the purse! I also did the CAL Amigarumi Doll and she turned out lovely - so easy to follow, Thanks!
Hello Happyberry, I am watching the video where you are doing the Tunisian Pearl stitch hand bag, it is pretty and I am going to follow this pattern. How many stitches should I do to make it a Afghan. Thank You!
Did I see that right? Your yarn is from Ontario Canada? I'm also in Ontario, could you share the yarn details please? I would like to support my fellow Ontarians. :)
Well spotted! Yes, it's from Ontario Canada, they say it's designed in Canada "where we turn cold into cool" he he. The yarn is called Sugarbush Bold and is 100% wool. It's lovely to work with, and I shall be making next week's zipper bag with it :)

Beautiful and doable. I know a few Tunisian stitches and enjoy this method of crochet. Thanks for the lesson and Happy New Year.

Laura...can i do with normal crochet hook..is not easy to get Tunisan crochet hooks here in Singapore.
Tunisian crochet is very difficult with a normal hook, but not impossible. You just won't be able to hold many stitches with a normal hook.
Could someone please attach the link for purchasing the lining fabric?
Would this stitch work for a bigger bag - a handbag, instead of just a small clutch?
Yes, very much so :)
Love it thank you
Why do you do this chane one in the reverse raw?
Great video. TY
Glad you like!

Can you recommend a brand of Tunisian crochet hooks.

Hi Laura,
I saw in another tunisian crochet videos they ended the last stitch in both loops. Is that correctly? Excuse my miserable english writing.
That sounds like a decrease?
i love it
Thanks
Very hard to do. My stitches are leaning to left curving.
