did so well throughout...even the fills in idioteque and pyramid song were amazing...to be honest it took me till staircase to realise you were a sick drummer
@pagani43 it's in 4/4 time broken down. Really, it's in 3/4+3/4+3/4+3/4+4/4 time, 4/4 being the drum fill at the end. You can really only count through meticulous training or when the drums actually come in, as the other instruments (mainly piano) are swung and off-beat.
thank you :) I used a largediaphragm condenser microphone as overhead (audio-technica AT2050) and a dynamic mic in the base drum. If I am honest I like the sound of my new "9 Drum Covers AMOK" video much more because there I made some fine tuning. However the room is very important for the sound and I have a very good room because it is filled up with old things and garbage so there is a very short reverbaration time in it :)
dude this is pretty awesome! I thought of doing something similar myself haha. I love radiohead, but a lot of their songs are repetitive on drums :/ but amazing nevertheless haha
I use a common hearing protector and built in the speakers of very cheap headphones called "philips shp 2500". So I destroyed one of these headphones and took only the necessary parts of it. The speakers sound not very good, but they work and they fit in the hearing protector. Sorry for my poor English :)
You're a great drummer! Great covers. Just want to say that I think Myxomatosis is a bit different beat than the one you played, you swing the kick instead of the hi hat...just from what I recall. But still really great covers :)
Great covers man, but Scatterbrain sounds totally wrong to me. Really fucking well done on the rest though, especially Pyramid Song, Staircase and Idioteque! :)
Very nice with Lotus, and the rest of it. peace. 15 step and after, Phil Selway's drumming and the percussion from J. Greenwood got really complicated. Staircase with the twin drummers takes the cake. Thome discloses the electronica influence is of Richard James aka Arphex Trim. YOu have yourself a nice set of drum machines there there. One Question is there a link to the full songs without the vocals? Thanks
It is in 8/8 or 16/8. But it's difficult to hear the rhythm, because the instruments rarely play the straight 8/8-rhythm. sometimes you can hear the cymbal playing this rhythm. by the way there is a " guitar pro" -tab with drums on the ultimate-guitar website.
While these covers are good they aren't all like the actual song (2+2=5 and There There aren't anything like the originals) However I loved Morning Bell! My favourite song ever to play on drums!
Try guessing which song is that from the very beginning, before the name appears. I did it and I'm so ashamed of myself, I got 2/17 correct (Morning Bell and There There). What
Hey dude, you in for a radiohead cover with me ? I've already got 2 guitarist and 1 bassist here. It's a No Surprises - Radiohead (no video) cover and Thom - Hearing Damage cover what do you say ?
Everything On Its Right Plase is so exciting and difficult
2 + 2 = 5 was great! Not enough attention is given to Phil Selway, which is a shame.
Also, I really like your handwriting.
Everything in its right place seems to be the hardest one
I can't even see your hands move
I think I've finally nailed Everything in its Right Place. It was that last quarter note that I was missing. Thanks!
does someone else played to guess the song hearing the drum beat?
Yes!
Only got 5 out of 17 lmao
yup, i got most of them wrong
2+2=5 & Staircase are really stunning. Super Snare-Sound übrigens, grad bei Morning Bell...
Pyramid song and myxomatosis are too hard, very well done!
That's why I love Radiohead because they have so many intricate beats....very well done playing them!!!!
It was fun trying to guess each song before they came in.
Great job. I particularly loved 2+2 = 5 and Staircase, they are awesome. Congratulations!
did so well throughout...even the fills in idioteque and pyramid song were amazing...to be honest it took me till staircase to realise you were a sick drummer
You sir, are a gentleman and a true scholar.
oh thank you very much :)
i really appreciate you writing out the beat in the corner!
thank you, that's so helpful! you're amazing! everything in it's right place was epic
2+2=5 is frickin awesome... all of this is really well done. you're very talented
You did great on Pyramid Song, probably the hardest song to drum to by Radiohead.
thanks man, i'm glad that you like it, because it was hard work ;)
love the rotor tom set up on your drum kit and use of the splash cymbal
awesome vid bro
See, Phil is funky as they come :)
Excellent covers man! I kinda want u to do all of them individually haha
Man! Phil Selway was equally as badass as any other member of the group
danke :) es freut mich einen deutschen auf meiner seite begrüßen zu dürfen :)
that's not scatterbrain, it's a remix, other than that, perfect!
Manuel Dengis Scratch that, you said it in the description.
6:08 Laughing my fucking ass off!
2+2 = 5 is INCREDIBLE!
You are amazing.
Awesome!!
Really great covers, well done!
Your staircase is one of your best.
shit I'm amazed you even tried everything in it's right place...talk about technical
everything in its right place is obviously the hardest one :D
very good job there mate.. keep it up :)
Beautiful. Thanks. It really does sound like number theory - patterns in math.
TOTALLY AWESOME!
great work!

I must share this.
Thanks all the same nice work and great choice of beats
Good work man, not easy like people think it is :)
I LOVED STAIRCASE!
This is awesome

FANTASTIC XX
Holly shit 2+2=5 amazing dude
I feel like your hearing things that don't exist. But I am entertained.
!! beautiful
Super gemacht, und sehr hilfreich, danke! Reckoner und "everything is alright" von four tet würd ich auch gerne sehen..
Thank you for the constructive criticism!
God damn it. WHY IS EVERYTHING IN ITS RIGHT PLACE SO HARD
Nice. And including the tabs was awesome, so everybody can learn. There's just one mistake at 15 Step - there's one more hi-hat than it should be :)
dude this is pretty awesome! I thought of doing something similar myself haha. I love radiohead, but a lot of their songs are repetitive on drums :/ but amazing nevertheless haha

I’m actually shocked that there exists a Radiohead drums cover video without Weird Fishes or Reckoner
Dude... holy fuck dude. 2+2=5... oh my god that was awesome.
Lmao Everything In Its Right Place was quite the difficult song wasn't it :P
holy shit 2+2=5 is awesome o.o
thank you. I don't have time to do that at the moment. i'm really sorry.
Staircase was sooo good!
2 + 2 = 5 was amazing
perhaps I will have time for it in a few weeks. yesterday I practiced the song already :)
Awesome, I just realize how unappreciated Phil Selway can sometimes be... specially since de CR78 era
woowwww!! 2+2!!
You're a great drummer! Great covers. Just want to say that I think Myxomatosis is a bit different beat than the one you played, you swing the kick instead of the hi hat...just from what I recall. But still really great covers :)
Fucking gold
Estoy enamorada *-*
Great covers man, but Scatterbrain sounds totally wrong to me. Really fucking well done on the rest though, especially Pyramid Song, Staircase and Idioteque! :)

I just came here to check if I were playing beats correctly (I learn by ear and don't bother with notation unless I'm REALLY stuck)
buen vídeo
keep working on Separator! I know it's not an easy one. Other than that, great!
really cool, can you make the full version of separator plz?and reckoner
Great tone and sound. Did you just use the one mic in the video? Really enjoyed watching this.
dammit i recognized every one except everything in its right place
#12 it's the most difficult to learn
I had time to do "dollars & cents" -> search my videos: "3 Drum Covers RADIOHEAD [HD] + Staircase Tut"
Fantastic man!!! Gr8 wrk, jst 1 thing i think u forgot 2 release the hihats in seperator!!! Sry but everything else awesoke job!!!
2+2=5 wow
@vicmrr thank you :)
this just goes to prove that phil selway is a genius
While these covers are good they aren't all like the actual song (2+2=5 and There There aren't anything like the originals) However I loved Morning Bell! My favourite song ever to play on drums!
it was the remix of scatterbrain in case you didn't know
I wish I had hella money so I could just bring you to California. It's so hard to find dedicated people here..
greaaat just wanted you to know that the version of scatterbrain you used is a four Tet remix
In what time signature is "Pyramid Song"? It always sounds so structureless to me…
NIced place in staircase, Separator and Feral.
Nice work at the "double drums" songs (Separator and Staircase), but you should improve your technique a little bit. Cheers.
is there a reason these are more recent songs for the most part? don't see any old school songs
From what I've observed, the King of Limbs and In Rainbows have some of the most elaborate drum tracks the band has to offer, if nothing else
I fancy you now..
omg how can you play 12)?!?!?!? this is to hard!!!
I know that they are 5/4 :D This is bavarian notation ;)
Hey man, what cymbals do you use?
Try guessing which song is that from the very beginning, before the name appears. I did it and I'm so ashamed of myself, I got 2/17 correct (Morning Bell and There There). What
Morning Mr. Magpie's hit hat is bad, but great video!!
Hey dude, you in for a radiohead cover with me ? I've already got 2 guitarist and 1 bassist here. It's a No Surprises - Radiohead (no video) cover and Thom - Hearing Damage cover what do you say ?
how do you want to implement that cover. everybody plays on its own an in the end you mix the recorded parts together?
Rembremadinger yes, we're also doing it on bandhub, i'll upload it on youtube when it's done too, you in ?
Channel Fee Alright sounds interesting, yes i'm in.
Rembremadinger keewwlll dudee, how do i inform you the details ? Gmail maybe ?
Rembremadinger m8?
I had time to do it -> search my videos: "3 Drum Covers RADIOHEAD [HD] + Staircase Tut"
I fell in love with u
Haters gonna hate. Great drumming and I guessed every song instantly. #radioheadforlife
thank you
phil has never used a china cymbal
Be our drummer
